Bright and colorful magnet set for older Toddlers

We bought these as a travel activity for an upcoming flight with our toddler. The magnets are beautiful, the tin is compact, there are a variety of animals (and a few plants) that could be used in a variety of ways. The following things are not issues for us, but I thought potential buyers would want to know: - the four scenes are on two pieces of laminated paper, one scene on each side. The scenes themselves are not magnetic, you have to lay them in the tin for the magnets to stick on them. - the magnets come from a variety of Eric Carle's books, but there is not a complete set from any one book (for example, there are only five animals from Brown Bear, Brown Bear, and the main insects like the Busy Spider, Grouchy Ladybug, Lonely Firefly, and Quiet Cricket but none of the animals they meet, etc.) - the magnets are not very large (they approximately range from 2"x1.5" to .5"x.5") so this may not be the right magnet set for younger toddlers

Great busy activity

Great gift! I got this for my 2 year old niece who is obsessed with refrigerator magnets and the very hungry caterpillar. She just plays with them on the fridge and doesn’t use the tin. It would be a great travel activity too!

3 year old loves it!

Got this for my daughter for her 3rd bday and it was her favorite gift. Unfortunately the tin got all bent but we just got her a magnetic whiteboard for it and she loves it so much!!

but it eventually became just an everyday favorite. We decided to hold onto the white setting ...

This magnet set was a hit with my daughter. I bought them to use on plane trips when she was just under 2, but it eventually became just an everyday favorite. We decided to hold onto the white setting that the magnets arrive in initially. You then push them out of the setting and can just throw it away. I'm glad we kept it as we play with it now like a puzzle, fitting the magnets back in the setting. Lots of fun! Very good quality.

Fun with Eric Carle characters

Love this magnetic Eric Carle activity set for travels! It has lots of pieces and four story boards in a easy to carry storage tin.

Kept an almost 3 year old busy all thru brunch

Bought these for a friend who brought her 2.5 year old to brunch with several of us. This really kept her busy while she waited (patiently) for her food to arrive. It's a really cute set! She loved the magnets and she chose her two favorite backgrounds (out of 4) and played with the before and after our meal (although she wanted to play with them during her meal, too)! Very well made - the box is metal so all the magnets stay put and don't get lost. It's small enough for mom to put in her purse to carry and big enough for little hands to manage changing all the scenes while the pieces stay put in the metal box. Excellent! So glad I purchased this! (and she can play with the magnets alone on the fridge too - but she did really enjoy the backgrounds!)!

Great toy

As an Eric Carle fans, we really enjoy this toy. The magnets aren’t super strong, so a 2yr old can easily remove and place the magnets. The tin is nice for traveling and for storage, but since there are so many magnets, we made our own backgrounds and used a big magnetic board so that we could spread the magnets out.

Great Set for On-The-Go!

We purchased these as a portable, self-contained toy that would be good to play with on a road trip. The magnets are very, very cute. In addition to the Very Hungry Caterpillar, there are magnets from other books like Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See, The Very Busy Spider, and Mr. Seahorse. The magnets are pretty thick and sturdy, and the tin is a nice size - small enough to be very portable but still big enough to have room to play with the magnets. The background sheets are thinner than I was expecting, but I don't think that will be too big of a problem. Overall, I think this is a great set that should get a lot of use at our house!

Great for traveling.

This magnet set is so cute. We bought this for my 21 month old to play with on a long airplane ride and it was great. It will also make a great car toy. She has Brown Bear, Brown Bear at home so she recognized all the animals from that!
