Great for the littles ones who love keeping a schedule/calendar. I had read other reviews about dented pieces/poor packaging. However, mine came in pristine condition and packaging was done well. It was given as a gift, and I have heard great reviews from the family. They especially appreciated that the pieces were magnetic. Which means the multiple pieces have less of chance of getting lost.

I bought this a couple of months ago and we have used it every day. I think it is a great visual tool to help children learn days, moths, and seasons. We now have a routine (kind of a sing-song thingy) we do every day, going over yesterday, today, tomorrow, last month, this month, next month, last season, this season, next season, last year, this year, and next year. The kids love choosing which weather magnet to use, sometimes choosing 2 or more for our rather confusing weather, lol. They also like that there is a blank face magnet so they can create a silly face to match their collective mood. I highly recommend this product as a great resource for getting children in rhythm with time, which can be a bit confusing for those who are still in concrete thinking and haven't reached the abstract stage of thinking. (Squishing all the magnets that aren't being used on a given day on the bottom portion can be a tad challenging....)

I was looking for something to help our son, with autism, to have a better concept of time. (ie, today, tomorrow, etc,) It has been a good activity to help us talk about the day and what is coming up. We appreciate the opportunity to talk about mood as well. The product quality is great and durable. I was a little concerned about the weight of the product, but we hung it on the wall with a Command hook and have no issues. I love that we can write on it with a dry erase marker to customize it for things like school, library, and swim lessons which are not included with the tiles. We also take off some of the tiles that we wont be using anytime soon, to make more room for writing our daily schedule. It's a great tool when he asks "What's next" , we remind him to check the calendar!

As I have mentioned in previous reviews, our son is obsessed with the date and time and asks us what both are frequently. We decided to get him this daily calendar so he could determine the date, weather, etc for himself. He loves it! We hung it on his door and every morning his first task is to change his calendar. I have ordered other wooden calendars from Melissa & Doug before but this seems to be his favorite. He gets all of his information in one place and it lasts the whole day so no need to probe mom or dad about what today is, what the weather is like, or what special activities we have planned this weekend. Now we actually ask our son what the day is when we tend to "forget".

My 3-year-old son loves updating this calendar each morning. It's a great daily activity and helps with planning what activities are on the schedule for that day. It also helps him learn the days of the week and what day of the month it is. My husband printed off some additional activities (bath, school and church) and glued them over some of the tiles with holidays that we wouldn't use.

I've never been disappointed in a Melissa and Doug toy! I noticed my first grader was having trouble keeping track of what day it is, and by extension what tomorrow will be and what yesterday was, so we ordered this to help him. My older daughter likes it too, and it comes with a lot of great magnets. Even better, it's a great quality toy, so we'll be able to pass it on to another family with younger kids when we're done with it.

Ordered this to keep my 2.5 year old daughters interest and set a morning routine for us after taking her out of full time daycare. She loves doing the days of the week and weather, and talking about our plans for the day. We don't use the bottom to store the extra pieces, she either free plays with it or write with dry erase markers. I made little baggies for the pieces and separate by category. They're actually the packages from her underwear lol!

I really like this daily calendar. It helps me teach my 4 year old the concept of time. She’s able to learn yesterday, today, and tomorrow by placing the appropriate days of the week on the calendar helping her understand past, present, and future tenses by incorporating activities she has planned for those days. This daily calendar has spots for those things as well as the weather and season. It’s a great teaching tool specially for toddlers who don’t quite grasp the concept of time yet. Con: my only complaint is that there should be more activitie tiles. There’s all the Holiday tiles but not enough activities or blank tiles to add personal activities to the calendar other then that I love it.

I would definitely recommend this product to parents of little ones when it's time to start teaching them the Months of the Year, Days of the Week, Years, Seasons, Activities for the Month, Holidays, How to Express their Feelings, and How to tell the Weather. It's quite amazing. We've had it for a while and my daughter (just turned 4) is definitely catching on. It most importantly helps with continuing the same way she is learning all of these things in the classroom if you have your child in Preschool. As a Substitute teacher, I know for a fact they use something similar to this to teach the kids these things well into Kindergarten and in some states, the first grade. For sure, I will be using this on my other little ones when they become her age. For $20, it's good quality for the price. A bit on the heavy side so if you're a thumbtack kind of parent (lol) I would suggest using two or three to distribute the weight. I like how you can fold it in half as well.. We move quite a bit, being in the military, and this is one thing I would carry with me as to not get off track even if we're on the road. All the magnets in our kit work great. It didn't take long to be delivered either. Thanks M&D

I purchased this for my 5 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. The product is a bit on heavier side and requires a good quality hook to hold it up, wish a hook was included. This calendar is awesome for beginners with it's simple approach to the concepts of day, date, month, year, seasons and weather. Magnet storage board is actually a dry erase board, I removed all magnets and stored in a separate divider box, as it would reduce the weight and reduces busy feel to the calendar. Also, it can be used as a dry erase board for the kids to practice spelling of the weekdays, months, seasons etc. Pros: 1. Good learning tool. 2. Sturdy Construction. 3. It can be used as dry erase board. Cons: 1. Heavy to hang and hook is not included. 2. There is only one blank tile, which limits customization of activities. Overall it is a good buy, serves the purpose in keeping kids engaged and learning.
