This is a classic. Here's why I love this notebook: 1) I love writing in it--the pen glides smoothly, there's only bleed/show through with certain pens. (Like Sharpies, which bleed through everything, or liquid ink pens if I get over enthusiastic with bold lines.) 2) Hard cover is firm enough to write on braced on my arm or my lap, but there's give to it. (It's not like a hardcover book.) It will flex as you fill it up with stuff. As happens. 3) It lays flat when open. (An advantage over both the soft cover version and the otherwise tempting Midori Traveler's Notebook.) 4) No spiral to get in the way or hang on stuff. The profile is flat and it slides right into a bag. 5) The more beat up it gets, the cooler it is. Okay, I'm a little superficial. It's the "I was journalling before it was cool, take it on (photo) safari, write your novel in Spain between bullfights, sketch scenes in Paris from your cafe table, keep all your notes for your search for the Holy Grail" classic.

I purchased this notebook because I wanted to start bullet journaling. The Leuchtturm 1917 seems to be the most popular notebook for the bullet journal method, but I actually wanted a notebook that DIDN'T have pre-numbered pages or an index page already in there. I'm loving this one so far! I've had moleskines in the past so I'm not worried about the durability. I love that it is dotted because it allows much more freedom for the user to do whatever they want with it, as opposed to the grid and ruled types that are very structured and rigid (and frankly, an eyesore to look at). Something to keep an eye out for is ink bleeding or being visible through the pages, so if you're worried about any fountain pens or markers you like to use, you can set aside a page just for testing those out. I only wish that this notebook was more readily available; it doesn't seem to be available in stores anywhere (I've only seen the soft cover dotted ones available in store, not the hard cover). From what I've seen, the dotted hard cover also only seems to be available in black and not any other colors (though the soft cover dotted ones come in a variety of colors). I'm really hoping that they become more easily available because I don't plan on buying any other kind of notebook for my bullet journaling!

The classic. My dad got me hooked on these when I was a teenager; he has used them for years and years at work. Great size, I love to doodle and write in these notebooks. It's about the size of a paperback book or a standard DVD case. I always buy one before trips so I can plan my itinerary, sketch landmarks and food, and write about my experiences. The pages are fairly durable. Even when you're writing with an ink pen, I find there's little to no bleeding.

Every year, I buy a moleskine notebook. Every year, I put the important information at the back of it... things like credit card number, special phone numbers, etc. I leave the front several pages blank. When I have to make phone calls, make a decision, just write down information, or anything I might need later, I date the page and start writing. It's been a big help writing out my thoughts and needs before going to see a doctor. I can now feel prepared before walking into the office. On the front several pages, I put an index for the date and what I wrote. This gives me a quick reference guide. I like it that there is the elastic to hold the book together. No more bent pages. I can also clip a pen onto it simply using the same band. This sits by my bed so it's quick and easy to use. This is the size that works for me and every year, I get a different color from the previous year. This year it was the blue color. I couldn't be happier. Great for female or male. This can help keep track of anything that you want

Yes, these are insanely hyped. Yes, many people speak of these in terms of love poetry. But they are a great notebook, and having used them for years an amassed a small library of collected journaling, I like these best. What's Great: * the size - is around the same size as a paperback or Kindle - fits into the same spaces. * elastic - holds the thing closed, keeps these from falling open or the pages from getting crunched. * the quality - consistent and good * the price - on amazon, and with prime delivery, is much better than anywhere else * pocket in the back always comes in handy for storing things What's not great: * the cloth 'bookmark' attached always frays. always. i think I need to start 'painting' the end with clear nail polish to keep it from doing so. otherwise, i cut it out *These will not magically turn you into Chatwin or Picasso or whatever, in spite of what is implied about them. * I sometimes fear being taken as a poser for carrying one around. BUT! they really are my favorite style of notebook and I stock up on them here on amazon. * Also, I wish there was a place to put a pen or pencil on them, but oh well. These are great notebooks and this is the best place I've found to buy them.

Bought this for bullet journaling, and its honestly perfect. The pages don't bleed even when I'm coloring in a lot, and the open dotted pages are perfect for bullet journaling. It's a great size because it's big enough that you can fit everything on the page and it doesn't get lost in your bag, but small enough that it's not bulky or heavy or overwhelming.

Extremely high quality notebook for journaling or corporate/professional note keeping. Pocket in the back of the notebook for ticket stubs, photos etc. Ribbon book mark. High quality pages and book bindings and an elastic to keep the book closed. Sleek and professional. I love the grid line version for my bullet journaling and this is the fourth notebook I have bought of this same one and I don't plan to change that. My favorite pen to use with this notebook is the Pilot P-500 extra fine black pen. My sister got me started on this notebook and pen a few years ago and we are hooked.

Love this journal. I got it to start my first bullet journal. I didn't want to make the expensive leap to the notebook favored by bullet journalers because I wasn't sure how I'd like it (plus they're fastly increasing in price). I've always love moleskine so this is working great for me! There is a little ghosting but no bleed through and you can't even notice the ghosting once you write on the other side. My only complaint is they don't make it in more colors like other moleskine!

I love these notebooks. I'm working on moving completely over to just using my phone (I no longer guy the actually planners), but there's something about handwritten to-do/to-contact lists. I usually list all of the people I need to call/email (and the topics we need to discuss) on the left page, and I'll have a few different to-do lists on the righthand side. I like the squared version, because then I have nice square checkboxes I can check off when I complete a task (it's a pretty satisfying feeling). It's also nice for taking quick notes in a meeting. I carry this notebook and my phone everywhere, most of the time I can get away with not carrying my laptop throughout the office to meet with people.

I've always loved Moleskin products. So even though I work on the computer all the time, sometimes I do like to jot down notes, things I need to remember, etc. and I use one of these. I keep both work and personal notes in it—like for personal, the things I want to remember to do when I get home from work. (I'm not alone in this—I work for a start up and everyone from the CEO down to the developers keep a notebook of some sort and a pen right next to their MacBook Pro or Mac Air.) I also keep notes in a text program on my computer, but you know, you can't star things or circle them or underline things three times on the computer (at least not easily) and I can do all that on paper. I love these neat little Moleskin notebooks, they make it seem like I'm writing something more important than I really am. These grid style page Moleskin notebooks are harder to find than the blank or ruled ones. I'm glad I was able find this two pack on Amazon. I'll be ordering again when I need more.
