Just what I needed to keep the grandson from electributing himself or turning off my equipment
Until a thread in my local tech newsgroup discusing childproofing my household electronics article about making your house childproof that mention this kind of device, I didn't know it existed. And I immediately knew I wanted one. It was the most reasonably priced of a line of them available, and it works just as I had hoped. Once I figured out how the parts went together. I was also able to open it up to add a plug, to my happy surprise.\ I've got two of them now. They keep my grandson from pulling out the plugs, turning off the power strip, or sticking his wet fingers in the slots. Ain't that great?

Adaptable, sturdy, safe
We really like this cover for our surge protector. Some things need to be plugged into one, and what about plugs that are occupied? Those little plastic outlet plugs are fine when you're not using them, but the baby can easily pull the cords out of the outlet then mess with it. This item adapts to the size of your surge protector and keeps little fingers out even if baby manages to pull the cords out of the outlet holes. I feel like this is a great idea, good value and very functional. I don't worry about the baby even though she's crawling a ton and tugging at everything she sees.

Great product!!
Loved this product. At the moment, my son can fit a couple of inches of his fingers in the slot, but nowhere near far enough to do any damage. With regards to the fact that the cords can be unplugged, I have no problem. The size and shape of cords and other power supplies varies so wildly, I do not really see a practical way to hold the cords so that they cannot be unplugged at all. I just used cheap zip ties to secure them, and placed outlet covers over the ones not in use. Large enough to house virtually any size plug or adapter. I don't think it's meant to keep the plugs from being removed at all. I think it's more meant to deny the child access to the prongs, and potentially, shock from residual electricity still flowing from its mother device. Easy to adjust. It has holes on the back so it can be mounted on a wall out of reach of a child. This is a solution to the fact that it cannot, in any practical way, keep a child from unplugging them at all. You can fit standard plugs through the slot, but I don't see why you would want to. It's very easy for an adult to slide apart. I think some of the bad reviews about that are due to unrealistic expectations regarding when power strip covers in general are designed to do. Would definitely recommend.

so good. I read some of the reviews before buying ...
So far, so good. I read some of the reviews before buying which made me nervous, but decided to take my chances based on the most recent reviews. First, while little hands could probably wiggle in, there is no way for my child to now unplug cords, there is just not enough space in the opening for her to actually pull them out of the keeper. Second, I was a little nervous that my Samsung cord that sticks out to the side would not work with this, but it isn't a problem. Finally, it feels pretty secure to me in general, so I don't feel like my toddler can foil this contraption. It is a bit if a PITA to pull apart (which you want with toddlers), so make sure you know what cords will be plugged in there for the long haul otherwise you'll get frustrated quickly. Also seems to have good airflow, which I was a little concerned about but am no longer. I would recommend this product to anyone that has a toddler that likes going after their surge protector.

Love that it is adjustable.
This thing is AWESOME! I have a few other power strip covers. My other ones are Momma's Helpers brand. I like this one better. Mostly because it is adjustable. If you have a longer or shorter power strip you can make it the right size. You can also hang it up and unlike the Momma's Helper it is easier for an adult to open but hard for a kid. The clasps on my others are really weird and hard to get open and hard to get closed again.

Reasonable price, thoughtful design, flexible and save space, and secure
I bought 4 different power strip boxes recently and this is the only one I ordered again. most boxes are $20-30 but just a rectangle plastic box with minimum design, and this one is under $10 with thoughtful design. The product is adjustable, make it uses less space and be flexible to handle different size of single row power strip. The unit is secure and can't be opened by pets or very young kids. Design with mount option. edited: someone asked if MacBook charger can be fitted into it, it can, for a large 85w charger, with the original extension cable. I did a test and show how it works in the photos. i don't think the product is designed for this use, but the adjustable design makes it possible.

Great deterrent for toddlers!
Works as a great deterrent for toddlers trying to stick their fingers in the power cords. The gap is big enough for children to get their fingers through but my power cords fill up the whole thing so it's not a problem for me. I like that she is not able to just yank out the cords. Overall, once I put the cords in here, she became uninterested in playing with the cords. I'd you do not have all the cords filled, you may want to put those outlet covers in.

Fix it and Leave it (Tension Free)
This unit is good for plug points where the plugs are not plugged/unplugged frequently, especially for TV plugs which we don't unplug once we plug it. Well covered and hard for toddlers and infants to do something on it. Good purchase and recommendable.

Great Product, does what it needs-adds a layer of child safety
really good. Gets the job Done. There is nothing bad I can say about. It extends far to accompany large surge protectors and the opening, while not super small, is small enough to prevent a child from reaching in, however its not small enough to prevent a child from sticking something into an empty socket, which makes sense because the opening has to be big enough to let a cord through. That being said, to be totally safe you should combine this with a outlet cap/plug for outlets not in use or have a surge protector that lets you close outlets not in use. Overall, very good product.

Keeps them from the computer power strip
No. No. No. Come back here! Those were all said to little one before I we got this and he made his way near the computer... not any more. Have at it. He can’t get to the power strop now! I win!
