Nice Quality Dinosaur Puzzle
Bought this puzzle for a 4-year old boy who LOVES dinosaurs and puzzles. The important thing we were looking for was a puzzle that would challenge, but not frustrate him. This puzzle meets that criteria. He needed some help in getting started, but can now complete the puzzle on his own. He's so proud when he's through, and we're looking at seven straight days, and counting, of him playing and putting together this puzzle together. PROS Well made large pices that easily fit together Workmanship of puzzle is great and glossy covering is well-made Challenges younger mind as they compare picture to puzzle pieces when completing Great for gift CONS Only wish they had labeled the name of each dinosaur on the puzzle. That would have made it a complete educational experience, but we spent time looking up the names, and he now knows the names, so I guess that is a learning process as well.

Great Puzzle!
We bought this for our 3 yr old as a Christmas gift. Initially it took little extra time but within a day he started doing it all by himself and now he can easily do it 3 or 4 times a day. It just takes ten to fifteen minutes for him to complete it. We have bought him one other puzzle of solar system from this manufacturer before the dinosaur one as he is so much obsessed with space. They are extremely sturdy and very durable. He loves melissa and doug puzzles especially the 3x2 feet is right size for my son since the pieces are bigger and clear enough.

I want my son back!!!!
We bought this after success with M&D's Solar System puzzle. Well, the little guy just loves it. He's three years old. We thought it might be a little advanced for him, but after one time through, he's got it. And that's all he does. Over and over and over. He's happy and the puzzle is durable enough to just leave it on the kitchen floor, sometimes partially completed and we just walk right over it. Fantastic! We've gone on to buy him the sealife puzzle also. Interesting things about this line of puzzles: the pieces are cut the same so you can interchange pieces from different puzzles. The upper left corner for all of them is the exact same shape. So now he does a space, dinosaur underwater puzzle. One thing about this puzzle, there are no labels for the dinos. So what started as a nice, educational distraction for him, became a long, educational distraction for me. "What's this one, dad?" "Who's this?" "Is this a diplodachlosmechaurus?" You get my point....or do you??? (Cue scary music.)

Another stellar M&D product!
This is the 5th M&D floor puzzle we have owned and every single one has spendidly held its own against twin 3 year old boys. Every item by M&D we have ever owned (including the puzzle pieces, of course!) have been solidly manufactured. I continue to be impressed by their craftsmanship. It truly is made with children in mind, and the rigors little ones can put a toy through. Who knew a piece of carboard could withstand a random juice spill? Thanks again M&D, for being awesome!

A great dinosaur learning puzzle!
First, this puzzle was one of three we bought from Melissa & Doug's collection and love them all. This was a great step up from the Melissa & Doug Prehistoric Sunset Dinosaurs Jigsaw 24 Piece that kept her quickly challenged and ready to move to the 60 Piece Land of Dinosaurs Jigsaw Puzzle by Melissa & Doug. Besides the general learning she went through from learning to do puzzles, it has several dinosaurs new to her - since her main exposure was all three Jurassic Park movies and The Land Before Time cartoons. This provided us more interaction while helping her on the puzzle by looking them up on the net and explaining them to her. We'll definitely be looking for more puzzles by M&D as she grows!

Perfect for 3-4 year old+
My almost 4 year old loves dinosaurs this was perfect in both durability and size. This is our second 48 piece puzzle. We love it! He’s now pretty much memorized it so he’s pretty quick at assembling. Time to get more and switch it up.

Great puzzle!
I bought this as a gift for my son’s fourth birthday. He loves puzzles and loves dinosaurs and this dinosaur puzzle was a homerun! He puts it together multiple times a day all by himself without any assistance needed. Great buy for the price.

Great quality, perfect next step up for younger kids
Got this puzzle because my 3 year old son was really getting into the wooden Melissa and Doug puzzles that have the wooden tray they sit in (not the ones where the animals are their own shapes and sit in a place only they fit in, but the ones more like actual puzzles) and he was putting it together in no time, so we decided to try this. This one is a great next step up from those and for a pretty good price for under $10. The pieces are definitely larger, but they include a good amount of detail in each one that my kid can figure out where they go pretty much by himself with minimal help the first time, and despite receiving the puzzle last night, he's already done it twice and the second time nearly all by himself. It hits that sweet spot of not too challenging as to be a turn off, but challenging and easy enough with an interesting enough picture that he'll continue to be engaged doing this one. The quality is good - a thick heavy glossy cardboard and the pieces easily fit together if they're supposed to go together, but when they aren't supposed to go together you can't force them easily like a smaller puzzle, bringing the confusion to a minimum for the young puzzler. We went with the dino one, and I chose it because dinos, but also the color scheme was differentiated enough that it is mostly obvious which pieces go to which dinos, although it's still a little challenging as there are a variety of dinos and colors. I actually looked through a lot of dino puzzles and found this to be one of the better ones out there concerning picture and price.

Great Puzzle for a young mind to puzzle things out!
Melissa & Doug make great wooden toys! We have purchased many of their toys before and have been very pleased, so has our grandson. He loves puzzles so we got him three (3) of M & D's floor puzzles for his birthday in January. Puzzles are great for any young mind. There is another wonderful bonus: mom and dad can play too! Just so you all know we got him four (4) wooden truck sets from Amazon for Christmas..........our grandson doesn't know, but grandpa wanted to keep these for himself (a joke here, folks). Hey, moms, dads, and grandparents. . .stop with the electronic gadgets, get real and collectible toys for the children!

2 year old LOVED it
He couldn't put it together (obviously) but I would put the edge together then hand him the pieces showing him where they went. It caused some frustration at first because he was learning a new skill but he wouldn't quit. Now he is 2.5 almost 3 and I just hand him the pieces that go in the section he is currently working on and he can mostly figure it out on his own. He loves this puzzle and doesn't mind doing the same one every week. Will be buying more.
