Great shovel (especially love the edge!)
I purchased this shovel in response to the other great reviews left here, and I wasn't disappointed. Overall, I would definitely recommend this shovel to anyone with snow. What I'm most impressed with is the edge of the shovel- it's easy to scrape right down to the driveway/walkway and getting all the snow off (instead of leave a thin layer that inevitably becomes packed down and slippery). It holds quite a bit of snow, which makes moving it easier. I think this shovel worked well both in a "push snow" and a "pick up and throw snow" capacity. Highly recommended!

Definitely recommend this over other more expensive shovels!
This shovel survived (and helped me survive) the record snowfall of over 30 inches in the 2016 blizzard in PA. When shopping for a shovel, I did not want to spend 40$ plus on a shovel that will be used a couple days of the year, but also did not want to spend 5$ and have it break in half. This shovel is an amazing tool at an amazing price. The plastic gives it a lightweight, but no way a cheap feel. It is a sturdy shovel that I will be using for many seasons to come, i'm sure. The metal strip at the bottom is stronger than I thought. I was worried that hittint the edge on lifted sidewalks will bend the strip or break it off, but nope. Its taken a BEATING so far and it is still straight and sharp. The only con is that compact snow tends to stick to the shovel, but that is nothing a little non-stick spray can't take care of. Overall, I am very happy with this shovel, will definitely recommend it to friends and family( which I already have) and will buy another myself.

Loved it so much, bought another one
Makes shovelling less of a chore because of the lightweight design with strong components put together thoughtfully. Liked it so much bought one for my brother in law to replace their piece of junk shovel. Next time I visit during a snow storm, I'll happily help shovel :)

I was really glad I had this when I walked out my front ...
I was really glad I had this when I walked out my front door only to find my car under 5 feet of snow. It's a good size for moving large amounts of snow and the metal trim on the edge cuts through moderately tough/wet snow easily. Wouldn't recommend it as an icebreaker but for snow it works just fine.

This has most of the qualities of a great snow shovel
This has most of the qualities of a great snow shovel. It's strong points are the shape of the blade, the strong leading edge of the blade, the strong handle, and the grip at the end. All work together to make a durable shovel with a high capacity load. The only drawback is that it is relatively heavy compared to shovels with plastic blades and shafts. If you only expect to do very light shoveling, you may want to find a high rated plastic blade and handle. I rejected those when an accident caused my plastic shaft broke in two, from relatively light pressure.

Heavy duty shovel should handle the winter with ease!
Came in one large box, no assembly required. Shovel feels VERY sturdy and well made. I wanted it for the sole reason it has the piece of aluminum on the leading edge of the blade. In Nebraska, we get a heavy mixture of snow/ice and the aluminum edge helps to break up the ice chunks. Very happy and impressed with the craftsmanship!

Heavy Duty, Very Durable
This shovel is VERY sturdy, I really like the grip on the pole. I would go as far to say that this is the best snow shovel I have ever used. I love that it is made in the USA too!

Keeps Snow Away.
This shovel works better than I expected. Since I purchased it we've not had snow. If we do get snow, this shovel is lightweight and easy to handle. Hopefully I won't need to test it.

Excellent Value Shovel Monster!!!
It is spring here in Maryland but I just purchased this because it had a great sale price being post-winter. That said, it is well constructed, not overly heavy, but heavy duty. I have a gravel drive that chewed up the edge of last winter's shovel in two sessions so I am excited about the sturdy metal edge protector on this baby!!! I am from Wisconsin so I know everything about shoveling snow and this shovel is a winner! I am not in a rush for winter to come around but I am ready.

I am happy with this on
I had to get a replacement this year. My first Suncast shovel lasted 17 years. It broke on an ice ball. It was my fault. so I had to get another. I had the 18 inch green one, and the 20 inch was the only one available at amazon, but I needed a snow shovel. I am happy with this on. its a horse, will flat out move the snow ! Wore me out. I recommend the Suncast. Don't use it on a windshield of your car. Have a good one.
