I have been wanting a QUALITY stockpot for quite some time. I have a large family and we like to make hearty servings of our meals so there is plenty to go around. This pot is perfect for that. I have used it for everything from making large pots of soup when we all had the flu to making huge pots of mac and cheese for the holidays. All I can say is, does the job well and I have no complaints. It heats VERY evenly and the pot actually stays hot for a very long time after removing it from heat. I have literally walked away and come back for another serving four hours later to find I do not even need to rewarm the food. The top fits the pot perfect and I have not had any issues with it like some others have. Its also been dropped on the hard tile a few times as I tend to be clumsy on occasion. Not so much as a scorch mark on the bottom after all my uses. If you cannot afford the high end stuff, definitely give this one a shot.

You will never regret buying Farberware cookware. I have used the Classic Series cookware since the 70s. When my children needed pots and pans I gave them my older set and purchased a new set for me! These pieces are so easy to keep clean. Just polish with BonAmi or a stainless steel powder and they will always look new. The lid design is wonderful for keeping steam inside the pot. I use the 8 quart size for soups, steaming vegetables, boiling pasta, making candy, cooking jams, etc. The aluminum bottoms are stainless steel clad and provide very even cooking. Things don't burn easily because of the thick bottom. You will not be disappointed!

I just threw away my pretty Rachel Ray red enamel stockpot after only 4 uses because it was chipping beyond belief. And there went 80 bucks out the door. When I saw this Farberware stainless steel pot for this amazing price here on Amazon I just had to pick this up and I am so so glad I did. Things usually stick to the bottom of my stainless pots but because this has an extra layer on the bottom its as if its non-stick coated on the inside which it is not. I will now start purchasing this Classic Series in all the sizes I need and get rid of all the expensive junk I own. I just love this Classic Series

The best, and at a very fair price. We bought one of the sets when we moved to Florida. Our old Revere set had turned to junk, so we needed a replacement. Will never buy Revereware again. It's not your mom's Revere-ware for sure. The copper on the bottom used to turn green and stain everything, the little black cap on the lids all came off over time. I was looking for a stainless steel set to replace our other set, and thought we'd take a chance on Farberware. This stuff is great quality, sturdy, well built and a joy to cook with. Very even cooking when making stews, chili, etc, and nothing sticks even though it's still just stainless steel and not non stick. Our set had the 4 qt and the 8 quart pots, but not the 6 quart, and many times I needed a bit more room in the pot. This works great and is large enough. At the price for the box set, go with the stainless steel, it's better for you healthwise than non stick and they work great. Highly recommend Farberware Stainless Steel.

Hi, I love these pots, they are the best. I had a set since the late 70's and they are still in superb condition. I gave away the first set I bought, then I purchased a second set and gave away my 8quart many years ago, so I decided to replace it. I also bought sets for my mother and my sisters. Out of all the pots on the market, these are definitely the best. Burn them? No problem, just soak in warm water with a little dishwashing liquid and in no time they are as good as new. Love them. Thank you, Greyci Lew

Bought this pot to replace a probably 40 year old stock pot. And while the adage “they don’t make them like they used to” is true, this seems to be a very good pot for the money. The bottom is heavier than the sides and distributes the heat pretty good. It is pretty easy to clean up. I have burnt a couple of things due to my impatience and this cleans up relatively easily. I recommend this pot to anyone who wants a good stock pot and doesn’t want to spend over a hundred dollars to get one.

I purchased this for my mom & she still not use it but she keep saying that what she was looking for. I think mission accomplished.

This is my first purchase of stainless steel cookware. I typically have cast iron skillets and dutch ovens, as well as some glass cookware (pyrex) for the oven. Most of what I own was given to me or handed down throughout my family. My purchase of these was because I was in a pinch and needed larger pots for large gathering. They are beautiful, sturdy and I like just about everything about these pots. You can't go go wrong with these if you are used to using stainless steel cookware.

I've had a favorite 5 quart pot for the last 35 years (don't even remember where I got it). I couldn't see any name anywhere on it to identify who the manufacturer is. Then I saw this 8 quart pot and the shape, handles, lid handle all were exactly like my pot so I gave it a shot. THEN my husband says my 5 qt pot IS Farberware, got out a flashlight and held the pan so I could actually see the very, very faint logo. So ask me how stupid I feel about that, BUT how awesome I feel about knowing what pots to buy now. Yay, Farberware, thank you for being so consistent with such awesome cookware. Amazon - thank you for being the means of finding my treasure.

I love my stock pot. I cook often and I prefer heavy, sturdy pots for soups. My next purchase is a 12 qt. Farberware is great anyway......I trust the company and I'm sure they care about the quality of their products.
