Glad I finally treated myself to Revere Ware
The saucepan functions very well. It heats quickly and maintains the temperature well. I've wanted Revere Ware since I got married 39 years ago, but someone gave me a nice set of Farberware. Then I changed to an expensive, non-stick set three years ago. However, it was heavy, took a long time to heat up, and did not stack well in my cupboard. I found myself using my mom's 65-year-old Revere Ware saucepan (which I received when she passed away) more and more, instead of the nonstick pans. I finally decided to treat myself to a set of Revere, and I added this saucepan to round out the set. True, these pans are a lot lighter than Mom's Revere Ware, but they cook just as effectively. I love that the pans are lightweight, because I have arthritis in my arms, wrists, and hands. I also like the Revere warranty. I had a warranty issue with one pan in the set I bought, and the company replaced it within a few days. I periodically make the copper bottoms of the pans shiny again by coating them with ketchup and letting it sit for a few minutes, then rinsing. Works great. Update 5/21/19: I'm still using and appreciating my Revere Ware cookware!

you would not believe how difficult it is to find a quality 1 qt pan!
My first revereware pan of this size was a wedding gift 20+ years ago. worried the handle might eventually give out, i purchased a "spare". other than shinier melamine handles they look very similar - (since i've sent my first one through the dishwasher many times, the melamine has lost any shine and looks as if it may give out). I'll be curious to see how the copper plating holds up on the newer one, after having read some of the reviews and websites regarding revereware. still love this. especially the size. oh and the price; you would not believe how difficult it is to find a quality 1 quart pan for a decent price!!! great for serving onesies or twosies.

Nice Revere Ware.
Nice, shiny, stainless and copper 3 quart Revere pot....but....... it is different from the older Revere Ware. Older Revere Ware is much heavier and thicker metal. I've seen it mentioned that the double ring on the bottom of the pots and pans is an indication that it is an older model. I like cooking with the heavier, sturdier Revere Ware. I'm still using my mother's Revere pots and pans from 1950 and they are going strong. I worry that the newer versions will dent easily and possibly burn food more easily. If I buy more Revere Ware, I will look for older versions on Ebay. If you need a gift that must be new and shiny, this is still good. I like the copper bottom for a more even heat distribution too.

one of the Revere pans became our designated popcorn pan because of the even heat produced perfect popcorn every time
I grew up using these pans and although purchasing an expensive set of waterless cookware, I used the Revere pans more frequently. The 25 year warranty was not only true to us, but we are still using the originals 40 years later. The copper bottom evenly distributes the heat; one of the Revere pans became our designated popcorn pan because of the even heat produced perfect popcorn every time. All of the handles on the pans and lids never even loosened, as happened frequently with the waterless cookware. The Revere pans are very sturdy and much lighter than many other cookware sets. As far as cleaning is concerned, we just popped them into the dishwasher. However, we did polish the copper bottoms a few times. Unfortunately, Revere pans are hard to find in our local area. Thank goodness we found them on Amazon so we could add to our set.

A great saucepan
I loved using my mother-in-laws old revere ware (yes the ones made in USA) and wanted something similar. After reading all MANY MANY reviews of how the quality changed I was a little unsure but went ahead and ordered this. I don't regret my purchase at all. Yes it is made in Indonesia but I think the weight and feel and thickness of steel is comparable. It performs like a copperclad saucepan should and is well priced. I don't expect it to do any miracles. Don't let the nostalgic disappointment in the other reviews scare you away from a good saucepan.

Revere Copper Bottom 3 qt Saucepan
After much trial and error in the past, trying to replace an old 3qt Revere copper bottom pot, I've found it! Perfectly level bottom on my glass top stove. Never use high heat with any cookware, not even candy making so not an issue in my home as some reviewers have stated. It is made in Indonesia, but it comes as close as anything ever will to the quality of what my mother had with her Revere cookware. Even the handle is the same material. The steamer insert from my original set fits perfectly with this new one. Thank you!

Old School Works for Me
My mom cooked with Revere-ware, and though it's a bit lighter weight these days it's still heavy duty and heats very evenly, which most pans do not on my electric stove. I seriously burned this pot (forgot to add water to steam veggies) shortly after buying it, and the copper surface turned all black. However, the black stuff washed off easily and the pan's copper clad bottom is good as ever (I don't recommend that you perform a similar "test"!). 3 quarts is a good size for two people for cooking pasta, making soup, or steaming a huge amount of garden veggies (with a cheap fold-up basket-style steamer). Mom knew what's good!

Can't go wrong with this purchase
We have the smaller pot for making soup or tea, we have a med and large stock pot so all we needed was an in between size so this was it. My parents had a set when I was growing up, so I just had to continue the tradition of getting a set for myself. This version is a little different from the pots we used back then. Its a little thinner and its feels lighter, but still the same great product.

good purchase
i have the one and two quart sizes and wanted the next size up. it's not quite as heavy as my older ones, but that's a plus for me because it is bigger and i don't have the strength any more to handle large pots. i use it practically every day. cleans so nicely too. i thought the price was reasonable too. glad i bought it. love it for soup and tomato sauce.

Distinctive appearance
These copper-bottom sauce pans are well built and have a distinctive appearance. The copper alloy is durable and does not deform like stainless steel. The copper alloy cleans up easily and looks like new with regular metal polish and a non-scratch scrub pad.
