I'm 62. I crawl on hands and knees everywhere in the house when I am not in my wheelchair...and these are inexpensive to replace every couple months. The Velcro closure is very easy and fast for me...I carry my pair around with me to go into the bathroom, floor near my computers, and so on. I use them on my hard (like cement) tile floors, and it feels like padded carpeting! I'd rather crawl than take a chance with my unsteady walk and fall and break a bone! My neurologist said this is preferred to a fall, and my knees won't hurt with knee pads. I even keep them on as I crawl into my bathtub! I replace them every so often, because the Velcro hooks wear out. But I use them constantly, many times per day; if you just use them occasionally, they'll probably never wear out, except that the material lining might roll off. I have tried all of the other brands through the years, and keep returning to these. The Velcro strap is a bit uncomfortable and pinches my shorts-covered legs in summer, but not enough to remove a star. I love these things. (They have nearly doubled in price here since I started using them years ago, but it's still worth it.)

I wish I had bought these ten years ago! Scrubbing floors and doing other household projects are so much each easier when your knees are hugged in such thick foam. They stay on very well, elastic straps are generously sized, and the Velcro doesn't pinch the backs of my knees at all (I have worn them over blue jeans or yoga pants, they stay on just as well with either.) I have bad knees, but with the Fiskars knee pads I can crawl around the floor assembling ikea furniture for hours with no pain at all at the end of the day.

This speeds up my weeding effort. They are well made and really comfortable. I am 5'2", 140 pounds, and they stay in place easily. These are much more convenient than dragging a knee cushion around the yard. I know some folks said how they are uncomfortable on the backside - well - yes - if you are in shorts, the straps are uncomfortable against care skin so I try to wear capri leggings, but mostly I just tough it out because I figure it's a reasonable trade-off. I like how easily I can strap these on and I don't expect velcro straps to feel good on bare skin. I have a cheapie foam pair from a discount store but these Fiskars are much better. PS. I wanted a fun color but got the boring green since of course these get dirty and it doesn't show on the army green color.

This is one of the best purchases I have ever made to help with my gardening. I wish I would have bought these years ago. I saw the little kneeling pillows at the gardening stores and they were kind of expensive, plus I didn't really want to carry it around with me wherever I went. These are perfect because I strap them on and wherever I want to kneel to do some weeding or planting, I can just plop down and get to work. And both of my hands are free to hold trays of starts, buckets, gardening tools, etc. I don't really pay attention to what I'm kneeling on -- sticks, rocks, etc. -- as it seems to be pretty puncture resistant. I've had them for over a month now and I really like them. They fit just fine for me and are very comfortable for my knees while kneeling. When I walking around I don't even notice I'm wearing them.

I'm a nature photographer, and I use these to help me get lower to the ground for photographing flowers and such. Before getting these I would always end up with sore knees, but now, I actually look forward to getting down there and seeing what I can see. The Fiskars 9418 Ultra Light Kneelers are indeed ULTRA LIGHT. 4.5 oz on my digital scale (for the pair). They are so comfortable to wear, that I put them on before going out, slip my pants on over them (they're loose pants), and head out for hours of shooting, never even paying attention to them..... until I find something low to the ground to shoot, and then bingo, I'm kneeling on a cloud and enjoying the moment, rather than fussing with finding an even spot to kneel on that won't hurt my knees. I've only had these a week, so I can't attest to their durability, but I've had them out 5 times so far, with lots of low level work, and they look none the worse for wear. These are the best photo accessories I've bought in many years. Highly recommended.

I bought this for my husband who has been complaining about hi knees. Gardening is his hobby and this is perfect when he is kneeling on the ground. In his own words "One of the best gift you've ever given me". He also use this on his mid thigh as padding when he's leaning on a portable ladders and it helps that it can easily be adjusted. He only used this 4 or 5 times, so we'll see how it holds up. But so far there is no issue and it looks like it's going to hold for years of use. Hopefully.

I was a little bit skittish about getting these thinking maybe they weren't going to be strong enough to guard my knees, but I was totally wrong. These work great. If you are working in a one spot type of job and you don't have a lot of getting up and moving around, then these are the best for the money. These saved my knees from sand, dirt and concrete dust. They are soft, but strong enough to cushion small pebbles, sand, clunks of dirt, saw dust, etc. However, if you are needing to get up, move around a lot during the usage of knee pads, then I would recommend getting a more suitable pair that can strap-in well around the café, knew joint and upper portion of the legs. These are perfect for simple jobs, but they are not meant to be part of a professional's gear. For 8 bucks, I ain't complaining. As a matter of fact, if I need another pair, I will most likely be looking for these.

These knee pads are one of the best gardening tools I have ever purchased. Weeding my yard on my knees was a chore. Either having every small stone and grass burr (really sharp spiked seed pods) hurt my knees or dragging around a kneeling pad wasn't working for me. These knee pads are comfortable, stay in place, and keep my knees pain free. My yard looks better because I am not delaying weeding to let my poor knees heal or avoiding making them sore again,

ABSOLUTELY LOVE these! Wish I would have bought sooner! I am currently remodeling my home. I purchased just prior to starting a flooring project. I have looking for knee pads for a while. Soo many of them I was finding were too short, WAY too long, hard covered (not ideal for my project), sized for larger people, cheaply made or VERY expensive. After reading the reviews I purchased a pair. What I got was AMAZING! They are soft on the outside so they work well on my new hardwood floors. They are sized appropriate for myself (smaller person) and my brother (tall skinny guy, who also got a pair after using mine). They go on easy. Stay put generally well while walking around. Not heavy or overly bulky. Inexpensive. Washable. Definitely do the job! I can work on my floors all day, my knees don't feel a thing!

Edit: Now that i've gone camping a couple of times, i can honestly say that these are serious knee savers. Whenever kneeling down for campsite work, setting up the tent and putting down the guy lines, trying to build a fire after digging a hole when you need to blow on the tinder to make it light well, or trying to cut into a fallen branch to gather wood, the difference these guys made was awesome. These el cheapo knee pads are great for cushioning your knees without adding weight to your backpack. There are a lot of things in my backpack that i can do without now that I'm getting to know what's needed and what is just wasted space and weight, depending on the type of camping i'll do, and on my second camping trip, i left many things behind. But these are so valuable and make suh a huge difference, I'll never go camping without them. ------ I didn't know much about knee pads and never gave them a second thought. Recently tho, while watching youtube videos of backpacking, I realized that there was a lot of work that was done on your knees including tent setups, making campfires, light firewood work with a hatchet, etc. etc. So I wanted something that would take some of the pressure off my knees but wanted something super light to carry in my backpack. Are these the most comfortable knee pads in the world? No. Are they the most stable? Nope. But they are padded enough to make a world of difference when doing low-to-the-ground work and are light enough that the can go in my backpack without adding weight. The curve of the pads around the top of the knee and the straps to keep them on means working around the campsite without having to think about them too much. At this price, I imagine they won't last forever, but they sure come in handy. One of the best buys I've ever made.
