We replaced our old 8-piece 'Gourmet' set with a Classic set. No complaints. Wüsthof has an outstanding warranty we've used several times. It is a key reason behind our purchasing decision.

Pricey but well worth it. An excellent product.

These knives were purchased to complete a knife set received as a wedding present. They have stayed awesome for the two years we have owned them. Do not be fooled by the lower price on the gourmet version of these knives, they are NOT the same quality level. With that set you are just paying for the brand name, not the quality. The classic set is the mid-level priced set, and they work perfectly for our needs. We are foodies and cook high quality food and care about how it is presented. We are not afraid to use the good china, even if we are the only two enjoying it. These knives make a steak (or chicken, or whatever) so easy to cut you hardly have to pay attention. Hand wash and they will treat you well for years to come. (Do not soak them long term, do not put in the dishwasher, it will wear them out and dull them faster.)

I was looking for the most reasonably priced, high-end steak knives out there and I believe I may have found them! They are extremely sharp and have a great weight and feel to them. They will be in our family for a very long time. Caveat - since they are a very classic knives, they have beautiful wooden handles (which feel great!) that cannot go in the dishwasher. If that is not appealing to you, they may not be the knives for you.

These are high quality knives, I would highly recommend. I want another set for my Dad's house, but I paid $169 for the first set and they are $199 right now. Watch the price, it seems to vary.

Absolutely fantastic! Expensive but worth every penny! I may have to get another set! Have had these for a few years and they are like new....You won't go wrong with real quality!

What’s not to like? You get German Quality steel. These came to me very sharp but I immediately put them on a honing rod for a few strokes and wow! Hair popping edge. Performance wise they are on par with the other quality cutlery you can buy. You really do get what you pay for.

Top notch steak knives. Slices steak meat like butter. Good quality build. Recommend.

Super sharp, top-notch quality. You can't get any better than this!

I upgraded to a set of Wusthof knives and purchased these steak knives to match. Wow! Incredibly sharp, feel fantastic in your hand, and cut through meat like nothing. There’s also a certain show-off factor to your dinner guests. Everyone I’ve had over has been very impressed. Yes, they’re expensive, but I see this as a lifetime purchase, especially since they can be sharpened, unlike serrated knives.
