Just recently received my Zen Garden and very pleased with it

Just recently received my Zen Garden and very pleased with it. Exceeded my expectations. Put it on my coffee table where it is sure to generate some conversation. I can see how this could be used to relieve tension and stress. I added the golf ball. I play golf whenever I get the chance and more often than not send my ball to the bunker. Maybe by adding my golf ball to my little ZBB - Zen Bunker Buddy - I can now become one with those nasty bunkers that I encounter on the course. Again, very happy with my purchase. Now, go in peace, Grasshopper.

Exactly as advertised

It's pretty awesome. Everything came on time and in perfect condition.

it's a pretty red color

For this being listed as a "toy" it's really lovely; it's a pretty red color. All the wooden pieces seem very sturdy and well-made. It had sort of a varnish-y smell to it when I first took it out of the box but that has gone away since it's been out. The little book of meditations that is included is a nice bonus.

Great Conversation Piece

I got this for Christmas to put on my desk at work. Now I have random people visiting my desk just so they can take a minute to play with this. I love that! This garden is relaxing offers a small guide to meditation. However, the fact that this acts as a social ice breaker at work is the best part of this gift. The sand garden itself is large and comes with enough sand to fill the entire box. It comes with a crane and some rocks to decorate.

The wood construction is good quality and the birds are cute

Daughter loves this. Bought it for Christmas and she looks at it often and it helps reduce tension. It came with two bags of sand which helped because our bull dog tipped it over into the carpet the first week and she was able to use the 2nd bag as a back up. Great for the office

I like this product. It came in smelling strongly like paint, but it's been 24 hours and I can't find a trace of that smell. The sand comes packaged seperately and even comes with enough to refill the sand if it's been out for too long or got spilled, so that's nice. The product quality is high, and the meditation book that comes with it is nice to flip open before I begin my day at the office to have something to ponder on bigger than the job. I make a nice design that I feel good about, and get to work. It's a great addition to the office.

Nice Zen Garden

I really like this zen garden. Pros: the sandbox is nicer than what I expected, the sand is more granular than regular sand, and the rocks all have little imperfections. Obviously they do...they are rocks...but I still like it, so it's a pro. Cons-ish: I do not have any personal problems with these items, but you should be aware that the rocks look common, and I do not understand what the straw tool is for, but the bristles fall out pretty easily. The straw tool is not welcome in my zen garden. Cons about this review: I do not know how to review rocks, but the zen garden has helped put me to peace with this negative trait. Or lack of trait. Or whatever.

Very happy with this purchase

I am a counselor for a mental health agency and I bought this for my office. Clients love to play with it when they come it for appointments. They adjust the stones and smooth out the sand, make designs and place the birds. It serves as something to do with their hands if they are nervous/anxious. Sometimes they will straighten up a messy Zen garden, clean up what another has created, line up all the rakes, it's interesting what people will do. As for the actual product, this was above and beyond my expectations. Well made box, lots of fine sand, several stones, rakes and birds to design your own Zen garden. Just lovely. I always tell people where I bought mine and encourage them to get their own.

Strong, Sturdy and Nice Sand

This is a strong and sturdy zen garden which comes with two packages of beautiful white sand secured by two bags of plastic in case one rips during delivery. The only thing I found was the brushes weren't the greatest quality but when comparing it to the zen garden itself it is still absolutely worth the purchase. Also it comes with an awesome Book of Meditations which has different sections and categories for life topics. Definitely a good purchase.

Just what my niece wanted

When my niece of 12 yrs old asked for a Zen garden for Christmas, I had to go to online just to see what one was! I search numerous ones, and the largest and best price was this one. When she opened it for Christmas she sat and designed her garden quietly for hours. She loved it. It came with rocks, ducks, and even the tools came with it. The box frame was made of quality wood, and it was one of the largest ones I found.
