This thermometer is the best I've ever used. It is very, very easy to use. Your temperature is split between normal body temperature, warmer body temperature, and then fever. It takes just a few seconds to measure your temperature, then it beeps in correspondence with your temperature- slow beep for normal, medium paced for higher temperature, and then rapid beeping for a fever. The backlight also changes color in relation to your temp. Green for normal, yellow for higher, red for fever. So there is no mistaking where your temperature is. I also really like the soft, rubbery part that prevents you from biting on hard plastic. It is also very flexible. I love, love, LOVE this thing.

Accurate thermometer and reliable!

I really like these thermometers. They are extremely accurate so I never have to worry about a false reading (I do multiple readings anyway). They last a long time and have a soft flexible stem so they are more comfortable while taking an oral temperature. They also light up green for a normal temp and red for a high temp. Battery life is excellent and the battery is easy to replace. Andthis thermometer comes with a case as well.

FAST AND ACCURATE

Bought this thermometer as a replacement for one which had slow and inconsistent readings. I really love it for the speed that it registers a temperature as it's hard enough to get a child to hold a thermometer under his/her tongue for more than a few seconds. The Vicks thermometer is easy to use, very fast, gives 5 beeps when it is finished, which my 8 year old grandson liked hearing so quickly. Can also be used under the arm or rectally, although I have tried neither alternative method. Small, smooth, easy to read, accurate, and fast - who could want more in a thermometer? And Amazon's price is way less than Walgreens or Drugstore.com. Just bought another for my adult daughter.

Works great! This is the thermometer our baby's Johns Hopkins home health nurse recommended for us to buy. Very user friendly and is flexible so it makes it easier when trying to get a baby's temp.

Amazing

Love the fact that the colors changed according to your temp, good, medium, and high. Love that if you use it at night once it is done reading your temp the light comes on. It's amazing. Love it, delivery was very prompt and fast delivery.

good price, accurate reading

I bought this thermometer 3 years ago. I primarily use ear thermometers for my kids but I wanted to have one oral just in case. Recently my daughter was clearly burning up when I touched her, but the ear thermometer said she was only at 98. I knew that wasn't right. So I dug this one out and, sure enough, she was close to 103. For a fraction of what I paid for the head/ear thermometer, this one outshines in terms of accuracy. I'm back to buy another so that I have an extra and don't have to run around searching when I need it!

Finally... a thermometer that actually works like it should...

We have tried several thermometers and none work nearly as well as this one. Most don't work well at all. They fail to beep, or are wildly inaccurate. We tested all of them against an old mercury thermometer known to be accurate, and this Vicks thermometer was VERY close to the same temp every time. Plus it beeps in about ten seconds - every time. Perfect.

no guessing at the time..it beeps when correct amount time passes...and if you do not happen have glasses handy..green means fine..yellow slight temp and red means find hue glasses t check high temp number

Worth every penny for the speed it takes temperature.

I wish I bought this sooner! I was being cheap and got a $6 one from Target, but it takes forever and with an ancy, not-feeling-well toddler, even 30 seconds is like a lifetime! For a few extra bucks this one is so fast and easy to use - totally worth it!
