I received the thirty gallon version yesterday and quickly determined that this is exactly what I had hoped it to be. I have done some yard work and clean-up and the size and weight are spot-on perfect. Construction quality seems good but time will tell how it holds up. One note of possible importance to some potential buyers: The capacity is 30 gallons as advertised but a 30 gallon trash bag is too small to fit properly around the rim. I tried two brands of 30 gallon trash bags -- no luck. Then I tried 39 and 42 gallon lawn & leaf bags -- they fit. The 39 is a perfect snug fit and the 42 is slightly loose but still stayed in position with no difficulty. This may vary depending on brand. I would recommend this product to friends and neighbors.

Finally found this again after a long search, best leaf bag holder I have used. Others are similar but this one works and is pretty durable. The original one I bought more than 10 years ago is still being used, but is showing wear. I like the hard bottom on this, you can drag it around and not have to worry about wearing through it.

My go-to yard basket. Love this thing. I used a variety of cardboard boxes, and laundry baskets all too small and heavy to move. The springs are strong and it holds its shape. I hope it lasts a while as I use it nearly every weekend. I've only had it 6 weeks so a bit early to tell how long it'll last. I'd buy it again if the bottom falls out, or the springs pop out. Our house lot is 1/3 acre and the yard (front and back) are very natural park-like yard with many trees (no grass) and ferns. We have endless piles of leaves, needles, cones and fallen branches to haul off each week. It's beautiful when it's clean but it's a lot of work. Pros. 1. easy to move around 2. lightweight 3. holds a lot of stuff 4. Keeps its shape 5. Bottom loop makes it easier to pick up 6. Holes in bottom let water out Negative. 1. Hard to collapse and store The springs that keep its shape are quite strong which is good when you're using it, but make it harder to collapse and lock when you want to store it. I had to either stand on it, or push it hard against a wall to force it closed enough to twist the rectangular button through the loop. If the loop was longer it would be easier. I don't bother anymore as it took too long and I was too tired after filling 8 bins with yard debris. I now leave it open in the garage.

I purchased this container in April of '09 and it's still in great shape, 4 1/2 years later. No rips, tears, or worn (abraded) areas. I routinely stuff it with bougainvillea and citrus branches - both have thorns - there are very tiny punctures from one variety of bougainvillea that has 2 inch thorns but so far the container is still in great shape. It gets weekly use throughout the year. The hard shell on the bottom makes an enormous difference on longevity. I also had two of the Fiskars 10 gallon containers and neither lasted more than 2 years - the bottom blew out of both of them very quickly - an expensive waste. This is the superior designed container, although a lot larger in size than the 10 gallon product. Update (august 2015) - After a bit less than 6 years, the fabric handles both tore in half. There are no more handles on the container now. The rest of the container is fine except for the tiny thorn holes. Happily, the thorn holes haven't gotten bigger. Sweet. It looks like the little fabric loops that help hold the container in a collapsed position are starting to fray. They look like the same fabric as the torn handles. It's a shame that such a well made product would suffer form the poor design of relatively cheap sub-components. Since the rest of the container is still in excellent shape, I'm disappointed in the failure of small parts that impact the usage of the container. I'm not a throw away consumer, thus my thoughts. Strengthening the fabric on the handles and the loops would upgrade this product to a total winner.

This Fiskars product is much better and sturdier than its cousin, the product that has a soft shell bottom. I would only recommend this unit with the hardshell bottom-- assorted sticks, branches, sharp pieces of kindling could easily damage a soft bottom material. The side handles are very well stitched into the frame, and the volume that this holds is impressive.

I do a lot of gardening and hauling full bags of debris to the compost pile can be difficult. This hard bottom bag makes my job easier. No need to lift the bag, I just drag it to where it needs to go. The bag is sturdy and the bottom seems like it can take a lot of abuse. I'm glad I got two when I ordered. Fiskars has made a quality product.

Purchased this after watching GardenAnswer video. I use this to carry around my yard when trimming my plants, vegetables bushes, etc. It's lightweight, easy to carry since it has two handles, and it stores practically flat when not in use. It's made of s lightweight, but sturdy, material. Strong enough to withstand rose thorns and branches. There are small holes in the hard plastic bottom that allows any water or moisture that may a accidentally collect while using. It allows me to not have to carry a heavy garbage can from one spot to another, yet provides me enough room so I don't have to keep emptying a smaller bucket. It comes in two sizes, but I got the larger size for more yard debris flexibility. I like it a lot! Will be very handy in the fall for leaf collecting. Recommend it highly.

I have used this "garden bag" for 5 months now. I am pleased to report that it has performed exactly as advertised. I have put it through some pretty tough assignments, i.e. not just leaves and grass, but also hundreds of small limbs, etc. It has held up very well, experiencing no tears or failures. I am glad I spent the extra money to get the model with the hard plastic bottom. I filled it to over-flowing over 10 times today, after a huge wind storm went through our property over the weekend. When it is too heavy with limbs to carry, it drags easily over fairly rough terrain. Some reviewers complain about the way it folds up. I like it, because it is very secure, and to me, the button/loop design works better than Velcro. Any product that works as well as advertised gets 5 stars from me.

I've needed this my whole life. There is nothing worse than trying to get a scoop of loose leaves inside a limp plastic bag and it kills your back by the time you are finished. This pops out into a 30-gallon canvass hardshell bottom container to place your clippings, yard trash, sticks, and other things. Better yet, it collapses and stores easily. The canvass material is very thick and durable. For example, I trimmed down my rose bushes for the fall and not a single thorn poked through. This is my newest favorite gardening toy.

I looked at three big box stores and a home improvement store and none of them sold collapsible trashcans. We needed two for a birthday party and these trashcans worked amazingly! It was a windy day, but not once did they fall over. One did slide across the cement but it was still standing. We bought 30 gallon bags and they fit quite snugly. For our future functions, I'm going to buy larger bags just so the trash bag isn't so tightly wrapped around. Great product.
