I use this to make hummus. Very compact, powerful and easy to clean.

This is actually my second Cuisinart DLC-2ABC as I purchased it as a gift for a friend. This is the perfect size food processor for someone who doesn't need to cook for large groups frequently (and when I do, I just make multiple batches). The blades are durable, and the entire unit comes apart and is easy to clean. The lid has a "drip spout" which I don't find effective or useful, but I'm still giving this product 5 stars since it processes my food very evenly.

I bought this because my neighbor borrowed my 20-year-old Cuisinart, and her cat broke it. Time for a replacement. I didn't choose this one because of the Cuisinart name; I chose it because it was the best-priced mini at the time -- and maybe because I wanted my old Cuisinart back. This one's so much better than my old one. Works like a charm - I didn't even have to think about how to operate it. The metallic red is retro-cool & looks great on my counter top. I also love the space where you can wind up and hide the cord. I think the description says that's "good for storage" but the main benefit is you don't have to look at an ugly cord on your counter.

Works well. I was able to make almond butter really easily in this. I also ground up about 1 tbsp. of flax seed using this, which took a while, but ultimately worked. However, when you use it, it sounds like 1,000 banshees have invaded your house and are wailing in unison. My ears were literally ringing by the time I was done using it. This is my first food processor, so I don't know if they usually make that much noise. Additionally, it's a small food processor, but I knew what I was ordering--don't buy this if you want a larger one. Overall, no major complaints.

Thing was a great purchase! I got it after making Christmas cookies and realized I needed a better method of chopping nuts. Haven’t tested it for that yet, but I used t with baby carrots and chickpeas and it minced it all up in like 30s! The plastic container itself feels a bit thin to me, so time will test it’s durab but I’m very happy with it and recommend it!

This item mushes and crushes my garlic wonderfully with no liquid include. It makes quick work of everything. The only drawback is that the material does feel to be cheap, but at the price you should expect that. The entire unit seems to be made of plastic minus any mechanical workings of course. It does the job well, is super small which I love as I only use it for turning raw whole seasoning items into small seasoning items. It also does a quick job of turning icecream into soft serve icecream. Just be sure that anything that enters this will be tore up, so add ingredients you want to keep whole afterwards, as I am sure should already be known. 1 Drawback - The white thing you can see inside the picture is a piece that holds the blades. It is detachable, and so, if you are mixing liquids, you can only go as high as what's inside before you have to clean up a mess afterwards that spreads to the unit itself. Even this clean up is not a big deal for me though, so overall perfect. Enjoy!

My mini processor that I had for 20 years was still working but someone at my house misplaced one of the parts...so I look at all the reviews and decide to go with this little Cuisinart. It is great and holds a little more than my other one did so that is a real plus. It is loud though. Maybe even louder than my old B&D one. That won't stop me from using it but I am now considering ear protection for using this and also my Vitamix as it is very loud as well. I also own a Cuisinart full size processor for much bigger jobs and love it too.

It usually takes me a while to prep garlic, ginger, and onions whenever I'm cooking asian foods. This processor saved me a lot of time since I can just throw the peeled ones in, press 'grind'. Voila! I have paste that I can just throw in my marinade or in the pot. It does make a very loud sound but since I can get my prep done by pulsing it for <20 secs, I don't think it's terrible.

Bought this, after much on-line research and reading of reviews from cooking websites, to replace our old processor. Comparing it to our old one, I think it deserves the great reviews that led me to purchase it. It has a nice base weight so it doesn’t slide around. It's easy to get the lid on and off and to remove the blade for cleaning. The blade sits low enough that the food in the bottom doesn’t go unprocessed, which was a problem with our old food processor. It’s very powerful (and a little loud), so if you leave your finger on the button too long, you may end up with a purée you didn’t want, but after this happened to me once I learned my lesson and since then it’s worked out perfectly for me. And the picture doesn’t do it justice- it’s a beautiful metallic red (and easy to wipe down as well).

I have a large Cuisinart and never considered getting a small one but a friend told me that I'd love it and I do! I use it almost everyday. While it easily and quickly will finely mince a couple of cloves of garlic (I HATE mincing garlic and I still haven't found a garlic press that really works), it will also make a great pesto; is wonderful for chopping small amounts of pretty much everything. I've owned the large Cuisinart for many years and this smaller one is built with the same quality.
