ALL LEFTIES SHOULD HAVE 10 PAIRS OF THESE FISKARS
First off, I find all Fiskars products to be outstanding in their quality and price. However, I am left-handed, and was so blessed from birth... As I understand it, a CEO of Fiskars was also similarly blessed. (So was Leonardo da Vinci. 8>) Hence the product offering by them. GO-LEFTIES AND FISKARS!! I had a pair of scissors in Kindergarten some 50+ years ago that was labeled as lefty and was supposed to work... It didn't... I was always trying to squeeze them backwards to make them work. These Fiskars are truly left handed in that the blade edges are reversed. If you right-handers don't believe me, try using your right hand scissors in your left hand. You will find that you have to awkwardly press the "wrong" way to make them cut well. Better yet, buy a true lefty scissor like this one and cut with your right hand.... I DARE YOU!! My Daughter, who is right-handed, has learned that the orange or red handled scissors are different, and she adapted to them. But, she prefers the right handed expensive other brand scissors.... I have been using this scissor since they were made with red handles. I now bought what should be a lifetime supply so I have one in every room. Again, Kudos to Fiskars.... Thanks.

Very nice scissors! Great for my lefty kid.
I bought these for my 7 year old lefty. I wish they made children's sizes in left handed scissors. He's struggled with cutting practice and I finally realized that he was having to use his right hand! His cutting skills have improved using these, despite them being a bit too large for him. I bought a 2-pack to have one at home and one at school. The cutting quality is very good, as I've come to expect from Fiskars.

for the first time in her life she has the proper scissors i never saw her so happy. here's some things she said
this was a gift for my mom. she's left-handed and all her life has always used right-handed scissors. for the first time in her life she has the proper scissors i never saw her so happy. here's some things she said: "wow.....i've never had or ever saw left-handed scissors" "wow.....they actually are really sharp and cut really well" "they don't hurt my hands and feel the way they should" So, you see it's the little things that can make a person happy :D

Should have bought these a long time ago
Like most left-handed people, I've spent my whole life using "ambidextrous" scissors that are just right-handed scissors with somewhat neutral grips. For my job (in special education) I have to cut an enormous amount of paper manipulatives out, and I began getting some significant discomfort in my hand, so I thought I'd give these a try. The difference was incredible, the grips feel much better in my hand, and the alignment of the blades lets me actually see what I'm cutting! (In fact, I'd gotten so used to compensating for the misalignment of right-handed blades that it took me some time to get accustomed to that.) These scissors were decently sharp out of the package and seem to be fairly sturdy, with no problems several months out.

Very well engineered
Let me start by saying this: I am a right-handed person. What does a rightie need leftie scissors for? Well, maybe I'm weird (probably). Actually, it comes from taping up lots of boxes at work--I wanted the tape in my good hand, and the left hand free to position the ends and cut, and trying to use standard scissors with my left was a nightmare (they just wouldn't cut even if I went into all sorts of weird contortions trying to get the shearing force angle right). So I got leftie scissors and they're engineered perfectly (it's like a dream). Unlike the lousy scissors I was using before, these are put together well enough that you can even cut with your right hand (although the handles aren't molded for that, so it's not too comfortable--I bring it up to point out that they're designed well).

A Lefty's Dream!
Growing up, I always thought I was simply just bad at using scissors. I could never cut a straight line and my hands were always sore after doing any type of craft. I knew lefty scissors existed but never got around to grabbing a pair. I finally bought these n International Lefties Day last August when they had a special sale and the difference they make is crazy! Nothing compares to that sweet, sweet glide you hit when your slicing a perfect line through wrapping paper. I feel like I can do anything now.

I now know left handers pain!!!
My husband loves these, me and the kids however...not so much!! Somehow, probably because the kids hate them, these are always the only pair of siscors I can ever find around the house and I can only say I’m glad I purchased these. I now know how flipping annoying it is to use siscors that are made for the wrong hand. My poor husband has been forced to use right hand siscors for far too long. And I now know how he feels, After only using these things twice I almost through them through the wall!! So as much as I personally hate these as being right handed, they are absolutely perfect for my left handed hubby!!! Thanks Fiskars for causing me pain and my husband joy!! 😉

Life changing
Hardcore lefty here, I can tell you that these scissors are legit. Great quality and comfortable to hold. I’m 32 and have no idea why no one introduced me to these sooner. I didn’t know there was even a difference until I tried these. I’ve used right handed scissors without any trouble my entire life. It’s is so much easier to cut with these. I had no idea handed people had it so easy!

Fiskars have always been our 1st choice
So my 3 youngest are left handed even though no one else in the family is. We just let them all choose which hand was easier or more natural as they went along. Now that they are teens their school- sized left handed scissors don't fit their hands. I ordered these because we have always used fiskars school stuff, especially scissors. They are just what I was hoping they would be. And my teens are so excited to not have to use the regular kitchen scissors anymore. Sounds funny, but when you are left handed those things make a big difference. I am going to order a few more pairs. Great scissors!

Fantastic scissors as always!
As a lefty finding some things to use can be very difficult; scissors are one of them. People still argue with me that there is no difference, but that simply is not true. It is about the blades and which side goes up and which down. There is also the matter of the molded handles. Fiskars KNOWS! I have sewing scissors, pinking shears, small modeling scissors for ship rigging, and at least 6 pair of these scattered around the house--and all are Fiskars. They are sharp, comfortable, and well-crafted. It is hard to find good left hand scissors, but as soon as you find Fiskars you need not look any further.
