My dog's favorite game
Careful, it's easy to throw the ball further than you'd think with this Chuckit! Classic 26M Launcher. That said, you can throw the ball far enough for your dog to get his/her exercise. The handle fits my small hands and my husband's much larger hands. The design of the handle makes it easy to get a good grip and control how far to throw the ball or if you want to throw the ball downward to make the ball bounce high. Don't forget to use this with the Chuckit! The Whistler Medium balls. The Launcher holds the ball until you're ready to throw it, and releases the ball just as you would want it to. This is my dog's favorite game. I even go around the yard retrieving balls without having to bend down. Lazy...yeah, but easy on my back.

You'll Have A Ball
Boy howdy can you launch a ball with this thing!!! We have a six month old black lab puppy and he absolutely loves chasing tennis balls! Thankfully he brings it right back to us so we don't have to chase him down in order to throw another one. Getting my dog his daily exercise has never been easier! I did buy a bag of regular tennis balls because inevitably summer going to get lost or chewed up. It is so nice that the regular size tennis balls work with this and they don't require their own special size ball. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone with a high energy dog that loves to chase balls. Make sure your dog likes to chase balls though, because long ago, when our last dog was a puppy, we bought one of these not realizing that she was not a fan of balls but instead we found out she was a stick dog. So we ended up giving that one to my brother, and that ended up being his dogs favorite toy. Such a simple toy that produces endless fun for both dog and owner! I hope my review is somewhat helpful for you!

Must-have if your dog likes retrieving games!
I have a young Golden Retriever who would retrieve balls and frisbees all day long if my arm could take it. Bought the 26M Chuck-It and love it! I can throw the ball a lot farther and for more throws, so he gets more exercise. Love that I no longer need to bend over to pick up the ball or have to touch a slimy, sandy, filthy ball! It's quite intuitive to use and within about 3 throws you'll have it down perfectly. You can also use regular tennis balls with it.

Buy both sizes & the ultra squeak ball for max fun
For people complaining that the ball isn't dislodging from the chuckit: it's all in the flick of the wrist (lol) ! Fling it sideways then stop short of how far your arm can actually go and the ball will go flying insaley far. Only improvement would be if you could choose a different ball for it to come with other than the felt tennis ball, as My dog never uses those so they go to waste and I pay a little extra for the ultra squeak balls. Also I saw the mini chuckit for 4 bucks and figured for that price I may as well buy it too, so now I have one for home and one that I keep in my car so if I go to the dog park and no ones there the trip isn't totally wasted 👍🏽

Bella Loves It!
I asked questions here and everyone said get one because... and they were right. When I realized I had a dog that loved balls (my very first one) I went looking for a Chukit!. I didn't know anything about them and needed to understand. Once I got the answers I needed, I bought one and it arrived today. Bella went nuts! She grabbed the ball immediately in the house and wouldn't give it back. Eventually she released it and I was able to toss it in the house. She loved that too, but made it clear she wanted outside with it so off we went. She's still delighted, but me not as much. I have chronic pain and this definitely triggers it when grip makes contact with my hand during the throw. Just holding it I am fine, but throwing causes me extreme pain. I'm going to wrap it so that I don't feel the sharp edges in my palm as I throw. They need to only offer padded handles as I've seen the complaint over and over. Thought this one would be better than the others because it appeared slightly more rounded, but it's not. Horribly painful for me to use. Bella, she's thrilled and we had a great time until I wore out and there was too much paid to continue. Tried various positions, but all caused pain. Once I figure out just how I want to wrap it, I'll post pictures and report as to how well it works. Thank you to everyone who responded to my question! One happy little dog over here.

Works well!
The ball it comes with isn't great, but it can pick up and throw any ball that is roughly tennis ball sized. It's nice not having to touch the ball or bend over to pick it up over and over again. Also, you can throw it very far with minimal effort. Takes a bit of practice to get the hang of it, but once you get a feel for it, it's easy to throw. Think of it like a trebuchet instead of a catapult. Do NOT abruptly stop your throwing motion for the ball to come out (like a catapult). That will be difficult to control, might start making your arm hurt, and will normally result in a throw straight into the ground. Just finish the throwing motion, and let the ball come out because of centrifugal force (like a trebuchet). You will start being able to feel when the ball will release, and can throw very far with just a flick of the wrist.

BEST TOY EVVVVER!
Bought this for our Lab, who is the quintessential retriever. All other toys were forgotten in less than 30 seconds. One toss of this ball and she was hooked! She would play for hours if we let her. She had the tennis ball in shreds straight off, so we use the rubber balls of the same size. The first thing I taught her was to drop the ball in my hands, or no more play. Works like a charm. 2 cautions: 1. Have plenty of fresh water available; your baby will need to stay hydrated. 2. You must say, "When". Our lab will run/fetch herself until she drops. We must make her rest so there can be a "Next Time". One additional feature/benefit: My husband is a bit disabled, and he can't run for the ball if it's returned out of his arm's reach. The long handle on the launcher makes it easy for him to retrieve from a distance on the deck. I bought the small set (2" ball) for our daughter's baby for Christmas. He loves it as well! You can't go wrong with this toy. We have found no down-side, but only hours of fun for our fur-baby! Enjoy!

Essential kit for those with fetch dogs
Now in our 3rd year, my Brittany and I are down to about 40 fetch tosses a day, some 14,600 tosses a year. The Chuck It launcher wears well, so, figure at least 5 years of use, for 73,000 tosses. That makes for a terrific value! There are several key benefits of the Chuck It launchers: One is that you can chuck the ball further than you can throw, which allows you to exercise your dog more easily. The second is that you can pick up and launch the ball without touching it, which means NO slime! And, the Chuck It also gives extra reach when you have to retrieve a ball from sticker brambles. Those are great features for anyone with a fetch dog. If you also happen to have a weak arm or shoulder, the Chuck It launchers provide nice throwing options. I generally throw underhanded. I can't get the full potential range, that way, but, I still get good, long tosses. I curl my second finger above the last bump on the handle, and use a good wrist flick along with arm swing. I've seen others throw side-arm with the Chuck It. I had originally written a second review for the longer 25M Chuck It. Either I, or Amazon messed up, and it looks like I can have only this one review. So, here are my additional thoughts on the 25M: I bought the 25M so that I could throw the ball even further! The good news is, you really can chuck further, with the longer chucker. The bad news is, those longer throws do require more arm and shoulder strength than when using the 18M. This becomes more obvious when you've done 3 or 4 dozen throws. I would recommend the 25M only for those with the youth and/or strength to get the most out of it. Otherwise, I'd say, go with the 18M.

Makes ball play greater fun for dogs and owners
This is a great device. Even a child can use this to chuck a regular sized tennis ball a great distance at a park or field. The package warning says it's only for supervised play, and that's got to be from the power this device adds to a thrown ball. Our dogs learned about this device in a few throws, and now just the sight of it gets them excited and hopeful that ball play could be next. I bought the Sport 18 M 'medium ball' version that works with regulation size 2.5" (64mm) tennis balls, and that's a good size in my opinion. The device 'ball grip' can easily be used to pick up the ball once it is retrieved... avoiding direct contact with dog slobber and field dirt that gets on the ball. UPC: 6-60048-06900-6 Throwing device is made in U.S.A. 🇺🇸 It came with one tennis ball that the package says was made in China.
