We use it for our garden
I wanted something that was sturdy enough for both my toddler and I to use in our garden. It's solid construction that I can tell will last many years. The pieces are a perfect length! My 3 yr old can easily handle them and I have to only bend slightly to use them. These are much much more reasonable and better quality than the adult sets I was looking at in the home and garden stores. This is a must have if you plan on gardening with your little ones!

Hit with Grandkids
These were a huge hit .... I liked the quality so much, I went back online at Amazon and searched for hand held tools to match them and they had them! Now they have the long handled tools and the short handled ones. They are great quality of wood and metal, and do a great job in the garden! My granddaughters are 6 and 3 and they are great!

Great quality tool set for kids
Bought this for my 2-year old nephew not realizing that it was more for older children, but I was really impressed with the quality of the product. These aren't cheap plastic kids tools -- they're metal and feel like real garden tools, which is why it's recommended for 5 years and up. It's a great "toy" for a kid to learn how to do chores and help while his parents are doing the yard word. Definitely worth the price!

The real deal for your mini-me
I RELY on real user reviews so tonight, I will sit down and try to review as many products as I can. This is SOOOOO great. It's not a plastic piece of junk, these are the real deal, just for your mini-me. I have a 4 and 6 year old who love the "help" with raking leaves. The size is perfect and these are real metal (so please watch your child and make sure they know they could hurt themselves if they leave the rake on the floor, spikes up). If I would've purchased a plastic pretend set of tools, the boys would be less interested. These make them feel like they have equal tools to Daddy's. AWESOME. And I'd order this again.

So nice to find real tools for kids.
These are really nice. I agree with other reviewers that the little screws are a joke, so I’ll be replacing them with through-bolts soon. But honestly that’s no big deal and the quality of the tools is good. The wood is soft and the metal will hold up well. They are angled correctly for kiddo’s to really use. My kiddo is obsessed with the soft (leaf) rake and he gets mad at me because I steal it to rake in small places between plants. I honestly love that little rake and use it any chance I get... until he notices and repossesses it!

Great buy - good starting set for eager little gardeners!
I purchased these for a 4 year old birthday. We have a garden and I wanted to encourage our nephew to love gardening also. He already loved to help and any time we are out in the garden he would grab the adult tools and try his best to duplicate what we were doing. Now with this kid friendly set his helping us will be much easier for us and for him. I love that these tools are durable and true miniature versions of "real" tools and not the standard plastic tools that don't really do much. With the spring approaching we are already looking forward to starting a garden bed just for him, can't wait!!

The tools are super cute and my son loves them!
My father taught me how to garden, and I wanted to buy my 5-year-old son a set of his own so that he could work with me in the garden. These tools are super cute and my son has really taken to them. I also use a hot knife to engrave his name into the handle, & really personalize them for him. You can buy the hot-knife here is you would like to do the same http://www.amazon.com/Toysmith-Big-Kids-Garden-Tool/dp/B00007L12O?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00 We have only started using them this season so I cannot attest to their durability, but currently they have been holding up well. In packaging, the hoe and shovel come with a really blunted edge. I'm sure this was done on purpose for safety reasons but depending on how old your child is; you may want to grind the edge of the hoe to sharpen and actually give it a little cutting power. I have to admit that I've used them all in my garden, and they've held up well. Although I wouldn't push the limits with these tools as they are designed to be used by kids. Nevertheless, both my son and I are satisfied with this product and I'd recommend it as a buy if you are interested in getting your child into gardening.

Sturdy and strong!
My kids are little monsters! I love them, but they are destructive! Well these tools not only survived their play, but they were used on real jobs around the house and when I went to a volunteer work party to fill new bark at a preschool! The paint scraped off on the shovel a little, but it's a tool more than a toy! I've gone through a lot of different brands of shovels and rakes and such, but these are by far the best and strongest.

Perfect for Baby Landscaping Crews
Super cute, I got these for my nephew who likes to work with daddy in the yard. I love that even though they are brightly colored the shapes are real, at just under age 2 he understands that the yellow rake is for the leaves and the green rake is for the pile of dirt. Much better than a chunky plastic rake with a face that lights up and sings the alphabet, which tends to be the norm for role-play toys. They just need to make a functional backpack leaf-blower to go with the set!

Keeps the outdoorsy mischievous 3 year old busy! 😂
Perfect for the little one that loves the outdoors. We've had them since xmas and theyve held up really well so far. Having 2 big oak trees, we are constantly raking! I found this set after my little 3 year old tried to pick up the adult size rake and struggled to move it across the acorn and leaves. He was so excited to receive these. Now if hes not trying to help with raking and shoveling acorns, he keeps busy by digging holes and making dirt ramps/tracks for his cars! Great purchase!
