Jumbo Fire Jigsaw Puzzle
I was there when my little great nephew opened this box. He was so excited because of his love of anything having to do with firefighters, etc. He wanted to put it together even though it was his bath time! One of his older brothers, 7 years old, couldn't help but get excited and join in because he really enjoys jigsaw puzzles. All and all, it was a great gift.

Great beginner puzzle
I really like this puzzle because the pieces are very big so it can be a fun beginner puzzle. My nephew (4yrs old) loved it too, when I saw him after Christmas morning the first thing he told me was that Santa brought him this puzzle! PROS: Pieces are large and very colorful Stays interesting at a variety of ages from 2 to 5 depending on development Easy to fit the pieces together CONS: From close up it might be difficult for younger children to imagine the picture because it is so big The puzze is an exact outline of the truck and there are no corners, so you cannot use corners to teach strategy for puzzle solving.

Bought this for my 3 year old son...
and I must say I'm very impressed with this product. The holding box is very compact and sturdy which makes for great storing. There were not any missing puzzle pieces and the pieces are very sturdy (my son has stood on them plenty of times and they haven't bent or peeled) and easy to wipe down with a damp cloth from "sticky fingers" without bubbling and tearing. The puzzle, when put together, is 4 feet long and a foot wide. The pieces are very easy to handle for little hands as they are each about the size of an average adult hand. It's great seeing my son putting it together, taking it apart, and immediately wanting to put it back together again. He has asked to play with it on a daily basis since we have gotten it and I'm happy to oblige! We are really satisfied with the quality of this puzzle and my son is ecstatic that he gets to put together a giant fire truck daily. I can see the quality of this toy lasting for many years with even "good" care. I would definitely buy this toy again for my child or as a gift.

2.5 yr old daughter loves it!
This is by far my daughters favorite puzzle, we do it together at least once a day, she can put parts together herself but still needs help to complete it. The completed puzzle is big and the pieces are large and perfect for little hands, super fun!

Perfect for beginners!
My 3 1/2 year old grandson was thrilled with this big puzzle. We had previously done puzzles on my tablet, so I think this was his first “real” puzzle. It was a little challenging, but with help he was able to complete it. The look on his face when we finished was priceless! “Let’s do it again!” he squealed! We took it apart and put it together two more times. It seems very sturdy and the pieces are big and easy to handle. I also bought the barnyard shaped puzzle but we haven’t opened it yet.

Excellent puzzle! The pieces are study and fit together easily. The puzzle is huge when it's finished!
My 3 year old absolutely loves puzzles. He's so busy and active, but the minute a puzzle comes out he is determined and focused. I have bought many puzzles and have found Melissa and Doug makes the best puzzles, this one being no exception. Here are a few thoughts: -Pieces: These pieces are large, sturdy and fit together well. I've found that cheaper puzzles have pieces that don't slide together easily or they come slightly bent so they come undone with barely any movement. These pieces are thicker than standard, so they slide together and stay there. With other brands sometimes my son will have the piece in the right place, but since they either are too hard to put together or don't slide together easily he'll think it's not right and put the piece back. He doesn't have that problem at all with these. The puzzle pieces are also finished with the shiny material on both sides, meaning it's not straight brown cardboard on the bottom. This is definitely a sign of a little better quality! -Design: My son is obsessed with trucks, fire trucks are towards the top of his favorites (right after diggers and school buses). This was done very nicely. The puzzle basically has three horizontal rows, except where the wheels are, there's an extra piece deep there. It makes it easy to work on it systematically, top down, bottom up or side to side. It has some nice cues to help, such as the green stripe on the bottom, the rope in the middle pieces and the pipes on top. My son just turned 3 and can do this puzzle by himself (if I sit down with him and encourage him to continue when he gets frustrated). -Size: For some reason have a giant puzzle definitely adds to the cool factor. It just looks awesome when it's finished! Overall, I highly, highly recommend this puzzle. It's one that should last for a long time and definitely holds my sons attention. If you're in the market for puzzles I love these for on the go Melissa & Doug Vehicles 4-in-1 Wooden Jigsaw Puzzles in a Storage Box (48 pcs) . We take them for my son to play with when my older daughter has basketball games. I also love these Melissa & Doug African Plains Safari Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle With Storage Tray (24 pcs) puzzles. They are excellent quality and have such a handy tray to store and carry them in.

Nephew loved it!
I bought this for my two year old nephew for Christmas. Both of his uncles are firefighters, so needless to say, he LOVES anything to do with firefighters and firetrucks! The puzzle is very big, perfect to piece together while sitting on the floor, and very good quality.

Top Marks!
This firetruck is a favorite at many preschools I go to and give therapy. I decided to buy one of my own to carry along in my bag of tricks. Wonderfully made and so colorful! Kids love it. It's not 'super easy' so 4-5 year olds feel there is a challenge. The size is big and my students are always so happy when they finish! Box is a good carrying case and very sturdy. I have also lightly washed the pieces on the top surface with a lightly damp cloth. Would make a great gift for anyone who loves fire engines!

Cute!
Great size for little hands. My son loves trucks so this was a win for him. Only thing I wish was that the boxes were more sturdy. A 3-yo is rough on them. Fits fine in a gallon ziplock though. Very fun! Love the detail in the dalmatian and the driver. Super fun!

beautiful made and perfect for little hands to work with
beautiful made and perfect for little hands to work with. Challenging for a 2 year old, but not frustrating if an adult helps at the beginning. By the time he turned 27 months old he was already able to solve parts of it, then as he grew some more he could solve more and more of it by himself. Now he can do it all, and he is not yet three, however he is still interested in doing it over and over. The puzzle is well made and gives enough visual clues for a kid to be kept interested, and the shapes are simple and intuitive enough to help with solving it even for a non-verbal child. The wheels are the most difficult parts of the puzzle, but they are interesting and makes kids want to stay with them to solve it.
