I am so glad I decided to give this a try. I remember in my distant past that percolator coffee tasted great but I was young and didn't drink much then. There were also a couple of instances back then that were not so good, too strong, too bitter at times, and finding grounds in the bottom of my cup. I have wasted a good 30 years of my adult life with the drip coffee makers like Mr. Coffee and Keurigs, and a couple of other brands like Dunn. I started getting my morning coffee at Dunkin Donuts which has great coffee IMO. I can't believe I waited so long to try percolator...again.... I have had this little pot for a week now and I can honestly say I am craving my own coffee now MORE than Dunkin Donuts (never liked Starbucks). I have made myself a pot or half pot every day since getting it. I used to make my own coffee at home one day a week on Sunday mornings when I didn't feel like another trip out. Wow is all I can say. This is great tasting coffee and HOT too! I have been using some old Dunn filters in the basket even though you don't have to use filters. They are large compared to the basket but I just let them hang over the side of the basket it still fits in the pot with it. I cut a little slit in the bottom then I wet the filter with water, then fill it with the Chock Full Of Nuts Columbian coffee. From the first pot it was a hit. I use the one level tablespoon per cup, plus one more tablespoon method. It works for me. My coffee is the tastiest I have had in a long time. I crave my own coffee now. I haven't been able to say that in over 30 years!!! I have made full pots (4 cups) and half pots (2 cups). It comes out tasting the same either way. Get this little percolator. You won't be sorry. It is easy to clean. I think it is easy to set up too. Goodbye Mr. Coffee, Keurig, and Dunn forever. I hope they keep making this perc forever.

I love this Percolator! We stay in a travel trailer for the summer months in upstate NY and this is the perfect size. My husband is not a coffee drinker but, I NEED my 2 to 4 cups a day! This is great, and I will be taking this appliance home with me and not leaving it in the travel trailer! I have been using a pod coffeemaker, one cup at a time and the flavor is just not there. This percolator gives me excellent coffee, I could drink it all day. It is so smooth and no bitter taste at all. You can make your coffee exactly like you prefer it; strong, medium or weak. It's delicious every time.

Bought this small coffee pot for my parents they like to use it twice a day for their coffee time. Small and easy to use. Keeps their coffee hot. I wish these were still made in USA instead of China as we have had to have the cords replaced several times and this is our third small coffee pot. We still have our 12 and 10 cup ones from 1980's still look like new after decades of use. This little pot works well but they only last about two years as the cords are short and pot burns out not as well made as they once were.Coffee could be hbotter when pot is made.

Like many I have been on that search for a good cup of coffee. The K-Cups while quick and easy were just lacking in taste. For a time I went to the french press which does make a good cup of coffee. Weekday mornings this go to be a bit much of a process. Than another coffee fan at work said he went old school and got a percolator. Crazy I thought, but found myself looking them up on Amazon. I found this little percolator pot and decided to give it a try. There were some unhappy people with this product, but I have yet to see a product that didn't have it's naysayers. One of my better kitchen appliance decisions. I love this little pot. It makes 5 cups in just around 4 minutes. I usually put it all together in the evening which only takes a minute or two and then just plug it in when i stumble to the kitchen seeking coffee. It makes an excellent cup of coffee and is a breeze to clean up, just rinse everything out and start over. I do not use any additional paper filters or anything, just the good old stainless steel basket. Now some things others may not like but do not bother me a bit. There is no on\off button. plug it in for on unplug it for off. Honestly, I am not sure if there is an auto-shutoff, but i just unplug it when I am done. Next, there is not an indicator light for letting you know its done percolating and just keeping the coffee warm. When it stops gurgling and is quiet the coffee is ready, easy enough. I have not had any problems with the base unit as others seem to have, I am using it daily and it works every day. I do love that it is all stainless steel, no plastic parts any where near the coffee. 2-11-18 Update Still a great coffee pot. I have had zero troubles with this unit and it just keeps working. I added a smart life plug synced to my google home. Now i just say from the comfort of my bed. OK Google. TURN ON THE COFFEE. 4 minutes later. Coffee is ready. I do love that. than on the way out the door, ok google turn off the coffee. I still only use the stainless filter with out an additional filter with out trouble. rinse and refill and good to go. Just sent the link for this to a friend who has now gone through another keurig type machine that just stopped working. shes over it and is converting.

This percolator makes enough coffee for 1-2 people. It is the perfect size for my counter because it doesn't take up much space. It perks quickly within a few minutes for a full pot. It's a bit noisy but not overwhelmingly. I don't have any problems with coffee grounds seeping into the coffee when I make a larger grind and wet the metal coffee filter basket first as directed. When I use universal coffee grinds from packaged coffee I may see some grounds in the bottom of my cup. I don't use any paper filters. The perked coffee is hot and stays hot until you unplug it. The drip coffeemaker I used for many years never brewed coffee this strong and hot!

I have had this same unit (and its "big brother") for at least five years and absolutely LOVE IT! So, when a family member requested a coffee percolator for Xmas, THIS is what I chose for them... I love it for several reasons. First, and most important, it makes wonderful, VERY hot coffee. Because it makes such hot coffee, the taste of even a "so-so" brand is significantly improved, and the taste of a great coffee becomes OUTSTANDING! (You cannot get the high brewing temperatures from an automatic drip coffee maker, thus making this percolator far superior to all of them, even though it lacks a few "handy features" like an automatic timer) Second, it is reliable. As noted above, we've had this model for at least five years and have never had a single problem with it... It works as designed every time! Third, it is fast! It takes less than five minutes from start to finish to have a full pot of steaming hot coffee ready to drink. Fourth, No waste! It makes one large mug and one regular mug of coffee for each full pot (or four small cups)... So, say goodbye to wasted coffee! With the price of coffee, wasting it is almost a crime... (We have its "big brother" for when we have company and that one makes four large mugs or 8 small cups) Fifth, it is EASY and very simple to use. There's nothing complicated about it, in fact, a 6 year old can easily do it for you if you let them. Sixth, it is easy to clean. All the parts except for the body of it can go into the dishwasher or be washed in hot, soapy dishwater. I recommend scrubbing it thoroughly at least once a week to keep the stains away as it is always easier to keep them at bay than to get rid of them once they appear. If one is fairly lazy and doesn't want to do more than just rinse it out daily, then you can run vinegar through a cycle once a week to keep it shiny too... The only downside that I can think of are that it does not have an automatic timer, but it's so fast, who cares? To be even faster, it can be prepared at night and simply plugged in when you get up. It is fairly small, which is perfect for two good sized cups or 4 small ones, but if you want more than that, you have to refill it or simply buy a larger pot instead or in addition. That's why we have two sizes. Normally, the small pot is just perfect for us. But several times a year, we have overnight guests (or dinner guests) and need more coffee. We'd normally only buy the larger one, BUT the larger sized percolators really are NOT good at making small pots of coffee~! I'm guessing it is because of the inaccuracy of water to coffee ratio not being "just right" when trying to use a large model to a small model's job. Bottom line: this small model works perfectly, is just the right amount, and is well worth the purchase price for those couples who each just want one, fairly large, great cup of coffee each every morning or for the single person who wants two big cups every morning...

This little 2-4 cup appliance is a coffee workhorse and produces HOT coffee every time within 2 minutes max. It's easy to use and easy to clean. Plus, it is 100% Stainless Steel....no plastic parts touch your coffee anywhere! That's SO important in this day and age of Plastics! My only less than perfect comment is that it's a little challenging to see the water level markings located inside the body of the coffeepot. Other than that, I am totally pleased with this product.

This is my third Faberware coffee maker. I bought it for my daughter who prefers it to the Kurig. For one thing it is easier to clean. For another thing it is more economical. It perks a cup a minute, a bit longer if you use very cold water. Thirdly, it is perfect for the dorm because it takes up so little room. If you are used to drip coffee makers, be careful because this coffee is HOT. To keep it looking new, every now and then run a pot of water with some white vinegar in it. Run it with all the parts in the pot. You cannot go wrong with this coffee pot.

This is actually my second percolator, the other one is in my summer home. I live alone, drink 2 cups of coffee in the morning mostly for the jolt. This percolator makes steaming hot coffee in just a few minutes. I will never go back to the drip coffeemakers. This one always makes an excellent cup, never bitter. It does not have a timer. If you really need one you could use a portable timer. It doesn't take that long to complete its cycle. I plug it in when I first get out of bed. By the time I'm out of the bathroom, get the creamer out of the fridge, it's just about ready.
