This is an excellent addition to the kitchen. Since buying this about three weeks ago, I have cooked 5 different batches of Jam. This pan has allowed me to cook- down into Jam, a variety of fruits and fruit combinations without having to follow specific recipes and without pectin and less sugar. I use common sense and experience as my guide and follow the same food safety measures and the jam has turned out well. This pan has allowed the jam to steam off the liquid faster and thicken to set more quickly. It is a beautiful piece of quality cookware that should be in the family for generations.

This vessel is the "end all be all", period. I make goat milk caramel for our farmers market...I know....its a "jam pot" and, the bees knees for my caramel. Even heating across the entire base diameter was the clincher and I can use a higher flame so my cook time is shortened. What is not to like?

While I cannot speak to this products jam making abilities, I will say it blew away my expectations when it came to candy making! This pan is very well made. It's a very heavy pan with a thick bottom and distributes heat evenly. If properly cared for I can see this lasting generations. IMHO the best aspect of this pan is the size. It allowed me to make 6-10 batches of candy at once, literally saving me days of cooking! If your an amateur candy maker this is a must have for your kitchen!

This jam pan is so beautiful. My friends say to just hang it up and don't get it all messy with use. No, no, no. I also bought Mes Confitures and there are some jams in there that I will be cooking up as soon as the crops come in. Can't wait. Awesome pan.

Hey folks look on you tube to see how to use this pan for carnitas. Very simple and fun to make delcious mexican style pork. No worries about clean up the pan still looks beautiful.

I just LOVE this pan. Yes, it's pricey, but for making big batches of jam it's perfect. I found that it does heat very evenly and makes the process quicker. It sits on my counter and just looks lovely. Shipping was really fast also, it came in two days. It's really big though, you could bathe a small child in it very easily, lol.

This jam pan is so beautiful, my husband remarked that it was worth the price just to look at. It brings jam making to a higher level because the jam cooks more quickly and efficiently than in my standard cookware, leaving the essence of the fruit in the jam rather than cooking it away with a longer stint on the stove. Also, when you remove the pan from the heat, the copper cools quickly, so you aren't further cooking the jam while you are testing for doneness or are preparing to jar it. I bought mine from Pro Kitchen Gear - worth a mention because they shipped so quickly.

You want a special gift, have some one, or better yet, buy this for yourself. It will never wear out, it looks beautiful as a centerpiece. It makes the most awesome jam ever. I make jam without pectin, and my little concoctions alway turn out perfect. Super easy to clean. A bonus, you ever get strapped for cash sell it on line, people are always paying top dollar for these gems. Kind of like buying gold it is an investment, you can pass it down (with your recipes of course) for generations! My husband was happy with it because he said it made me happy.

This, by far, is the nicest thing I ever bought myself. I make a lot of jams and jellies and am able to get to the temperature I need for no setting failures. I am in love with my copper pan!!

Just made my first batch of jam with this pan. OMG!! It's fantastic! The cooking time with this pot is much faster than the All Clad saucepan I have been using. Don't get me wrong, I still love All Clad but this pan is a must for any serious jam maker. Cant' wait to make caramel in it.If you are on the fence about this pan don't be, get it, you won't be sorry.
