I will be using this to attend a conference, carrying scientific posters. I haven't traveled with it yet, but I've used other document tubes, and this one will work great for my 36" (shortest side) posters. I'm glad that I bought this tube. It has three good qualities: 1. thick plastic makes it durable (although I would have preferred different material such as light metal or rigid leather, this is standard material for document tubes) 2. telescoping with a quality locking mechanism (3 divets line up with divets on the inside layer when twisted and are prevented from unlocking by a ridge) Note: adjustable length is as described except I would only count on it fitting a 39" document. At the longest setting, the outside of the tube is 40", not the inside. 3. adjustable strap is not attached to the twist cap, but is secured to the tube itself. This means, the tube won't open accidentally and fall off of your shoulder because it opened (a fatal flaw of other document tubes). The label is enclosed by a clear plastic cap on top of the twist cap and is a little extra plus! Unlike the description on the currently leading comment for this product, the tube is exactly as pictured, arrived in a box that was appropriately sized (the box would have been big enough for two tubes side-by-side), and was padded with brown paper in the extra space.

Great poster tube! Collapses and expands easily and has a durable plastic that won't easily dent or bend.

Holds your special large documents.

Holds multiple documents safely. Travels well on the airplane. Adjustable straps and screw on lid! The plastic is bumpy so stickers don’t really stay on, that’s a bummer. Otherwise it’s great.

Perfect for the price

The price is good, the shipping is fast (if you do Amazon Prime). Item arrived exactly as described. It's really easy to change the length as needed, and the twisting lock mechanism keeps the tube locked into position. I've only had it a few weeks, and one travel trip. But it's performed really well, and survived a cross-country trip with a layover each time.

excellent protection and handy shoulder strap

I have two of these and use them to store old targets or to carry new targets to the firing range. They are perfect for that use. The shoulder strap is secure and makes it hands free. The top easily twists of and the length is adjustable. The only minor complaint is that on the top there is a nice place to put your name and a clear cap to keep it intact -- however the clear cap easily gets knocked off. In fact on my second tube the cap was missing entirely when I received it. But, minor I think. Just put a luggage tag on the strap and you are good to go.

Better than we expected

Nice, sturdy document/ art storage tube that locks into place at several different lengths and has an adjustable carrying strap. It has a label you can write on at the end under a removable transparent cap. These were more features than we were expecting. Nice item, and seems like it would hold up well over time.

Easy and practical. Get dome

These tubes give me ease to carry flipcharts, posters and markers. They can be easily lengthened or shorted to fit the needed size. I now have 7 so I can pack ahead for clients .

Works great!

I use this to transport a rolled up piece of vinyl that I wanted to protect. Works perfectly and have had no problem with it coming apart while carrying it or while its rolling around in the trunk of my car.

Very sturdy

I purchased this to carry paper targets to the rifle range. It's very sturdy, well constructed. So whether you are me, or Mike Brady carrying your plans for an addition at Kings Island (or did he have a Yogi Bear Poster) this telescoping case is perfect.
