Best Treatment for Old Glass
If you can’t see when it’s raining, it’s because your windshield is contaminated and pitted from age and road debris. The rain drops splatter, spreads out, and blocks your vision. This makes even a light rain difficult to see and a heavy downpour impossible to see. This is why people pull over in terrential rains. They don’t realize their windshield is so pitted is why they can’t see. After a proper rain x treatment, the water stays beaded up, NOT blocking your vision. Doesn’t matter how hard it’s raining, YOU CAN STILL SEE! Glass needs treatment, especially old cars with old glass.

Great Stuff
If I were a dictator (IF), I would demand everyone use rain-x on their glass windshields. It works THAT good. It's not only that it makes heavy rain bead up and roll off your windshield, but it keeps the fine spray kicked up by vehicles ahead of you from forming a sheet of water on your windshield. I have tried the spray on rain-x and it doesn't work as good as the liquid rub-on rain-x. It takes a little elbow grease to properly apply, but it's worth the effort.

As Expected
Great little bottle of Rain X as expected. I have used Rain X for years here and there on my windshield. It is cool when it rains and the water just rolls off the windshield.Easy to apply, I put on after I wash my car and just spray on and rub around the windshield with a towel. Easy to use and works great.

Amazing product
I usually don’t leave reviews but this product is amazing. I’ve used this for over 20 yrs. for the 1st time treat all glass including mirrors. I drove through Oregon in the pouring rain in the dark. The rain was pouring along with all the mist from trucks. I didn’t even need to use my wipers. I know the law requires me to do so but it isn’t needed with this product. I treat all my windows & mirrors which works amazing. It works by making the water droplets smaller & don’t stick with any tension. I even use this on my tractors on my farm. Without the wind it doesn’t work as well as my car or truck. I only wished I bought stocks in this product.

Instant results.
I had a cheap, untempered windshield which was awful in the rain. A friend of mine from college recommended rain-X and I was shocked at the difference. It was liquidy and clearn and I applied it with a soft rag and sat there wondering if it was even on properly. I trusted the system and then later that night took my car out for a drive; it rained while I was out and the difference was instantly noticeable. Before, when using my wipers, streaks would obscure my view so much that any lights would make driving in the rain hard. Now, the droplets don't smear and smaller ones sometimes just roll off. It's pretty great. Not that this changed my opinion on the product either: But the description says it uses 'water bending technology'. I giggled at the idea that the Water Nation may have produced Rain-X.

Great for eyeglasses and phones
I bought Rain-X primarily for my two eyeglasses. They had minor scratches and were constantly getting smudged. When the bottle arrived, the instructions got me worried. It said not to put on surfaces with anti-reflective coatings and on plastic. Well, my glasses have anti-glare coating, and the frames are plastic. Not that I planned on treating the plastic, but surely the plastic will make some contact as I work on the glass. Will Rain-X ruin the anti-glare coating? Will it harm the frames? I took a chance and applied the Rain-X. Wow. Scratches gone. Anti-glare coating okay. Plastic not damaged. My glasses are beautiful. Better yet, I am no longer constantly rubbing them clean. Rain-X did such an incredible job, I decided to try it out on the tempered glass screen protector on my cellphone. The oleophobic coating on that screen protector left me long ago, which means my phone always looking embarrassingly dirty with prints. Rain-X cured that problem, too.

In use since 1991
I discovered rain-x in 1991 while living in NYC where rain, sleet, snow rule during winters. Back then, I had purchased my first new car and decided to try rain-x after seeing a promotional display (convinced by the marketing claims imprinted on the box). After the first application, there was a hazy glaze on the windshield and other glass surfaces I had applied rain-x on. The haze dissapeared after turning the windshield wipers on for a couple of minutes. Performance: it works as advertised. Visibility while driving in the rain and snow increased significantly as a result of the elements sliding off the glass surfaced. The best way to describe the effect of rain-x and water is to compare how one would add oil to a non-stick pan. The oil in the pan would run freely in the direction where the pan is tilted. Water and glass surfaces treated with rain-x act similarly. At freeway speeds, the rain would just be pushed off by the effect of the wind. During periods of light rain, I don't even turn on the wiper blades anymore because visibility is better without the wiper blades on thanks to rain-x. I now apply rain-x to tail-lights, front lights, fog lights, side mirrors, side windows, moon-roof. Rain-x needs to be re-applied every so often. For me, I just re-apply every now and then after I wash the cars (which is not frequent - 6 months?). Application is simple: use a paper towel or a cloth, apply rain-x to the cloth/paper towel and wipe on glass surfaces. I use the lazy method: squirt directly onto glass surfaces, allow rain-x to run down to the base of the glass before spreading with a paper towel. Either method works. One of the few products that works as advertised.

Clean hydrophobic Windows!
This product works very well but I was surprised to find it cleans the windows as well. I put this all around my car (7 windows) and I cleaned them right before with a basic glass cleaner but the rainx actually got them cleaner and the cloth was just a little dirty afterwards. Now my windows are super clean and hydrophobic. I don’t have to use my wipers at all!
