Meguiar’s PlastX receives my seal of approval. I applied to clean headlights then buffed until disappearing with a DA attachment on my electric drill. I had previously used their three-step headlight restoration kit which left me with minimal resuls and scratched headlights. This cleaned off the haze so well that I could see the scratches again. Photo comparison with both headlights after doing the driver’s side once then again, and the passenger side close-up before and after. We DO NOT recommend the protectant spray. It’s some weird coating that looked bad so I buffed it off again.

I haven't used it on my car... but it works really, really well on acrylic plastics and polyurethane finishes to clean and buff out haze and fine scratches. This is more of a final step polish, so if you have something with deeper scratches you'll probably need to start out with something a little coarser, but this gives the final product a perfectly clear finish.

I had previously purchased a kit for removing the oxidation from my headlights. It was expensive, and involved a lengthy 3 step process. The kit only had enough product to do two cars. And to top it off, the headlights only stayed clear for a few months. This stuff cleaned the headlights in about a minute, it only took a very small amount, and is so quick and easy it will not be a big deal to use it again in a few months if needed. The bottle should last me a couple of years even if I have to use it every 3-6 months.

I contemplated getting some of the more expensive products that require buffers and a drill. After reading the reviews for those they suggested it would take an hour or more to treat a pair of headlights. I bought this product and have been very pleased with the results (see before and after photos). Time for application takes about 3-5 minutes for a pair of headlights and the effects last for about 6 months. Well worth the price.

This company used to make the gold standard for clear plastic polish and rejuvenation called Mirror Glaze. It was used in the private airplane and motorcycle areas for cleaning windshields and visors Etc. It would remove small scratches and polish the surface again. It was the best there was 20 to 30 years ago. Then they divided up the Mirror Glaze product line into different products and even together they didn't work as well as the original. Recently I tried a bottle of their PlastX which came in a headlight rejuvenation kit and it worked as well as the original mirror glaze product. So I ordered a bottle of it. It now says new and improved unlike the photo above. We all know what that usually means, either less or poorer quality product for the same or higher price. Such is not the case this time. I took a visor which I had already used both the original mirror glaze and the original PlastX on and it helped some as it always had. Then I use this on that same visor, the new and improved PlastX. . And it is at least a 50% improvement over the previous products. Scratches and abrasions which the previous products could not remove we're now gone. I would call this the new gold standard.

My headlights are fine. I used this to fix the delicate clear plastic screen in front of my instrument panel. I purchased the car used, and the previous owner had left some sort of overspray on the screen. I had a wipe new kit with the little buffer, and quickly scratched the holy heck out of it to where it was surely ruined, and almost impossible to see through. I went to price the screen online, but soon found I had to buy a whole cluster for several hundred bucks. Then I saw this. As soon as this arrived, I went to work, an 10 minutes later it was clean and clear as new. No scratches or splotches. An excellent product for a reasonable price!

2005 Camry and I've 'cleaned' the headlights 3 times so far in the past using toothpaste and a bit of elbow grease. This stuff is like putting on car wax and immediately rubbing off and headlights looked GOOD. Perhaps not like brand new, but real good. Used some cleaner on a friend's 2006 Volvo and results not quite as good, but then the starting condition was worse. I imagine one could have really yellowed lenses that would require more extensive and more expensive treatment. For the $10 or so, definitely worth trying. Probably good to use on older cars that haven't yet started showing ageing. Catch the problem before you have the problem.

I saw this product used in a CNET video and was rated best so I figured I would try it myself on my 2012 Infiniti QX56 as it already has slowly over the years has gotten worst on the headlights. I used this along with "Qiilu 19Pcs Sponge Polishing Waxing Buffing Pads Kit Foam Polish Pad Set for Car Polisher+ M10 Drill Adapter+ HOOK & LOOP Foam Polishing Disc 3" so I don't have to do so much polishing by hands and the results are nothing but WOW! Highly recommended! Just see my pics and judge for yourself.

I've used Meguiar's waxes and car products for over a decade in professionally detailing cars. Had tried another brand's high priced 2-part headlight lens refinisher on two different cars (1993 Mustang, 2007 Expedition), using a buffer as recommended. Within a couple of weeks, they both were turning cloudy/yellow again. Was immediately impressed with PLASTX; easy to apply and remove by hand, and you could see the cloudiness/yellow immediately disappear (I used two light coats, removed in between, just to be sure). Lights look nearly new and are bright again. Also used on the taillights to return their glossy appearance.

I have a 2005 Acura, and the headlights have gotten cloudy over time. Once I paid a local garage to clean them and while it worked, it was expensive and the the headlights clouded up again in a few months. This is because headlights are plastic and the sun, and wear from road trips, makes the surface of the plastic foggy. Recently, I saw a review on CNET where they compared different products for cleaning headlights, and they recommended Meguiar's PlastX. I bought it and some drill buffing pads. When it got here, I covered the paint around the headlights with blue painter's tape, and gave it a try. WOW! In only a few minutes the headlights went from cloudy to clear! You should have an old towel handy to wipe off the headlight after a few moments to check how it looks. Then you can get picky and go after the spots that you missed and give them another quick buff. I really can't believe how easy this was and how well it worked. You should absolutely get the drill buffing pads, they make the whole process easy. There are several sellers here that have the same kit. It has a base that connects to your drill and it holds one of the foam pads in place with Velcro. You also don't need very much of the PlastX to do the job - just a small line on the foam pad will clear up most of the headlight. So a bottle of this will last a long time. And in a few months it will be a quick job to clear up the headlights again.
