Inexpensive level package that works great for purpose intended.

PROS: Works as expected. Great quality. NOT A LASER and NOT SELF-LEVELING so don't buy it expecting one or both of those features. You WILL have to pay more for a quality level with those features. The case for the level unit is very protective, but, unfortunately, plastic. We'll see how well its photo-sensitivity stands up to long, sunny days on-site. CONS: My ONLY complaint is that it needs a carrying bag to accommodate the level, AND the stand and grade rod. It is definitely a pain carrying three separate items, to do one job, when you can't park close to the set-up location. And if you need to carry your clipboard and/or plans, then it all gets really cumbersome.

Good piece of equipment for the money. Does a great job with shooting elevations.

I am a handyman, do it yourselfer, jack of all trades, and a few other terms that I can't remember at the moment. I have built several buildings, like my 40' x 42' shop, our home, and plan to replace an existing barn. In the near future, I plan to remove our existing concrete driveway, and replace it with a much larger concrete driveway. All of these things really function better if they are level. I priced the new laser levels, and found them to be out of my price range for the amount of use I have for one. Besides, my wife needs something to get her out of the house more often, so a level that needs two people is perfect. This level package is perfect for my needs, and after checking numerous sites, I found the Amazon price to be the best. Honest, and On The Level. I often work by my self, so I have developed a work-around to be in two places at one time. When working alone, I must admit that a laser level would be just the thing. However, that convenience comes at a considerably higher cost. My work-around is to drive a 18-24" wooden stake at each of the locations where I need a grade shot. I clamp the level rod to the stake, with a wood working quick clamp, return to the instrument and get the shot. I then move the level rod from one stake to another until I have the numbers from each of the desired locations. That method takes at least twice as long as it would with a laser level, but I need the exercise and I always think about the money I saved.

Building a cabin in the mountains and bought this builder's level (transit) to keep our foundation walls level. Wish it had included actual adjustment instructions, but some online research gave us the necessary information on adjusting the level. Worked great, and would definitely recommend this one.

Excellent! Amazon reviews are a great way to get good value for your money. This builders level was highly rated and now that we have used it to construct our building I definitely see why.... can't fault it in any way.

Great level! High quality, easy to use but full of features.

Bought this when we installed our above ground pool. Love it!

For the price it suits my needs. I build aluminum carports and screen enclosures. Unfortunately uneven slabs are common so a transit is a must! The only downfall is it doesn’t do the math. LOL

The product shipped quickly, and arrived in good condition. Have used it multiple times since purchase. Easy to set up and use. Would recommend for the contractor to the home owner that does his own projects.
