Great sweeper & handle "issue" has been fixed!

This is a great little sweeper & it seems that Bissell addressed the handle issue that many people seemed to experience. The handle sections are now threaded so they screw into one another. I bought this to pick up cat litter between vacuumings. I use clumping litter that tracks EVERYWHERE in my place. This little guy picked it up with no problem, on my rugs, carpet & solid surfaces. It also picked up cat hair (& my hair!) like a champ. Dumping the contents is a breeze too! Nothing to remove, just hold it over your trash can & push where it says "push" on collection bins to dump. Pleased with quality

I've been using a rechargeable sweeper for a few years and it was always a pain. When the battery pack completely died, instead of buying a new one, decided to try out something that didn't require battery or electricity. Very glad I did! The sweeper worked well on the carpet which has a slightly raised nap. Didn't have any trouble picking up crumbs and paper bits and worked great on the bathroom throw rugs. Also worked well on the kitchen linoleum and is easy to empty. It's great to use something lightweight, but sturdy, instead of lugging out the big vacuum for spot cleaning. I'll be using it about every other day so I'll post again after using for a few months to see how it's holding up. FYI, I live in a small apartment, not a house.

Works well at a fair price

Well built -- the body and most parts aside from the bristles are metal. It works well and is whisper quiet. I was honestly shocked when I saw what it picked up. It has two areas to collect dirt and they can fill up fast. You better empty them regularly. The only downside, which is inherent in the design and not a defect, is that it needs movement to work. Also, the brushes don't reach to the edge of the unit (they have to be attached somewhere). So, if you try to reach corners, alongside of walls or in small areas that do not allow you to build up speed, the sweep doesn't work well, or at all. But, for the vast majority of sweeping tasks, this little beauty works like a charm and is everything I could ask for in a silent sweeper.

Works amazingly well

This product works wonderfully. I bought this product after reading some reviews on many different similar products and this one seemed to have the best reviews, so I took a chance and bought it, and let me say I was not dissapointed at all, I used this product daily as I have a bunny and he tends to kick bedding out of his cage and this product does a great job of cleaning up any of the bedding and other dirt. I have had no issues with this product whatsoever. Would definitely highly recommend this for quick pickup or if you have pets that are caged like my bunny because it doesn't make noise, so therefore doesn't scare my bunny at all.

Just what we needed

One of our dogs was really struggling with our kitchen floor (he was outside/feral prior to rescue), so we bought a large, low-pile area rug. The pet hair, side-door traffic, and food bits had us running the vacuum almost daily. I had used a similar product when I waited tables, just to sweep up crumbs between customers, and figured it was worth a shot at home. By no means does this work as well as actually vacuuming, but it picks up all the little bits of food and an impressive amount of hair, and it's easy to empty. I run this over that carpet twice a day, and only run the vacuum once or twice a week now.

Works well on carpet, and perfect for small children to use.

I bought this so that my preschooler could start "helping" with chores around the house. The adjustable handle made it easy to shrink down to size, and I let her decorate it with stickers to help her own it :) She loves clearing toys out of the way to use "her sweeper." I will say that it is not very good on woods or tile, except with huge crumbs, maybe the size of peas. It's pretty good on carpet though. I'm not looking for perfectly clean - that's what the Dyson is for - but this was a great tool for getting my child involved with keeping our household running. Much better than buying her a toy vacuum. And, this will grow with her as I can add back in the handle segments - plus I actually use it myself. Winner.

Bissell Swift Sweep Sweeper

This sweeper saves me from pulling out the heavy vacumn for quick cleanups. It has 2 pickup areas that must be emptied. It picks up going forward & backward. Works great on throw rugs and bare floors, but does miss some things going from bare floors to rugs. Am still very happy with the sweeper.

Works better than a vacuum!!

This is a life saver!! I would buy this 100 times over! I live in a condo on the third floor, so I don’t want to use my vacuum early or late in the day and working long hours, cleaning at reasonable times can be a challenge. Since it doesn’t require power it’s ideal, it’s frustrating when the handheld vacs needs to be charged. I have a bird and a bunny which are prone to make messes. This is perfect for picking up seeds, Hay (which I was surprised about) and other messes around their cage. I am also in love bc I am able to easily view the trash it picks up when I dump it to ensure none of my sons LEGO peices were picked up or my jewelry. Works great on my carpet and tile! Love love love highly recommend!

I wish I would have purchased this sweeper years ago!

I bought this sweeper mainly to pick up cat litter on my throw rug. I hit the jackpot! I couldn't be happier. It's manual so it's quiet and no need for charging. It picks up cat hair and so much more. It's versatile to clean under beds and couches. It was affordable and easy to assemble. No issue with the handle thus far as others had mentioned. The only negative thing I would say is that it picks up on uncarpeted surfaces only partially. However, I'm still so excited to have found such an awesome product. Thanks to all who wrote previous reviews which influenced me to make this purchase!

I forgot these existed.

This is perfect for my new dog, who thinks the vacuum cleaner is her arch nemisis, and also likes to chew random bits of anything. Not so great on the wood/tile floors but cleans up macerated tissue like a breeze on area rugs.
