It worked for my fishy crew..
Holy cow! Finally!! So I tried Gencure and kanaplex and then this. All a month in between meds. I didn’t know what was wrong, bacterial or fungal or parasite since bloated belly’s and irrational swimming/flashing were the main symptoms. Our worst was our Crown Tail female Betta who couldn’t even swim. My Platty guy also got some cotton looking growths on his side fin (after the gencure) that at 1st i thought was ich, but determined were too large in size and fuzzy looking to be it. My tank is a 26gal bow front and I’ve had it for about 8 months. There are 11 fish total. Could have started from not staying on top of cleaning since a monthly 25% water change is all I do, besides adding fresh water every 4days or so from evaporation. Anyways this has finally been the cure! My female pink Betta is no longer unable to swim and my platty has no more white fuzz. Plus it smells good! Today is day 6 so 1 more day of treatment, but already starting yesterday (day 5) the results were clear to see. I will definitely be keeping this stuff on hand. Although not a fan of the scary warning about severe skin irritation from the oil, but Just don’t touch it I guess. Maybe use nytril gloves..... anyway it has helped my fish which is great cuz I’ve never seen a pink Betta girl before and my daughter has become quite attached to our Pinky. Hope she sticks around for a long while ❤️

saving the betta
well i'm pretty sure it's bringing my betta back to life. let's just say, his top fin was basically hanging by a thread and his pretty blue coat was not so pretty anymore. day 4 and i already see fin regrowth and he's swimming around again:) also, i really recommend getting a little heater with thermostat if you haven't done so already, bettas need upper 70s - low 80s (farenheit) water temp to thrive. and if you're still reading this, put some real plant life in there, it helps introduce healthy bacteria and oxygen to the environment... all good things for a fish.

Worked for popeye/eye clouding
We bought this after our discus developed Popyeye and it worked great. We weren't able to use it exactly as prescribed as we have too high a bioload to not run the filter/not do a water change for 7 days. Thus, we ended up doing a 50% water change every morning, ran the carbon filter for a couple hours after then turned it off, and added dosage ... then repeated every day until the fishes' eyes cleared. Worked just fine.

Not sure why one star reviews. Good stuff for Fin Rot!!.
This is diluted Tea(Ti) tree oil. Thus the nice odor. This saved my 6 vieled Angelfish with bad fin rot. Setup: Fully cycled 75 gallon, Fluval 406 filter, 6 guarami, 6 Cory cats, 4 Parrot Cichlids and 6 Angelfish. Four vieled species with bad fin rot. I did NOT quarantine them. I used this as directed and within 24 hours you could see the fin cells starting to grow back. After 7 days any rot was gone and the fins kept healing. Ones tail was ripped 2 inches. After a month its healed to only a half inch left. NO OTHER FISH WERE HARMED. I did the 25% water change after a week and fish are happy. After a month all is still well. This is diluted tea tree oil. Look up the benefits of it. Yes, water turned ONLY slightly darker but was fixed after the water change. My motto is proper filtration, filtration, filtration. I can't say enough about this good product.

API Melafix is a Must-Have with your fish supplies!
Several months ago this Blue Dwarf Gourami got ½ of his body stuck in an aquarium ornament. He needed assistance to get dislodged. He abraded his under belly & received two open abrasions on either side of his body – removing part of his scales. A dime size wound on the left & quarter sized wound on the right side. I went immediately to the pet store, thinking I would get Stress Coat to help the little guy. I also wanted something to prophylactically to help prevent infection. The aquarist at Petsmart showed me several antibiotics including API Melafix. I went home with both the Stress Coat & the MELAFIX. Two hours after the injuries, I had the fish in a 10 gallon hospital tank. I treated water with 5cc Stress Coat & 5cc Melafix (5cc per 10 gal). The Melafix treatment was for 7 days. By the 3rd day – the Raw skin was starting to granulate & there was never a sign of infection. Two days after treatment finished the fish was moved back to his 55 gallon tank. Now you can not tell the fish was ever injured. I have ordered more Melafix to keep on hand with my other staple fish supplies.

A must have!
I introduced some new fish and unfortunately they brought in some fungal and bacterial issues. I used this along with the Pimafix and my fish were clear of any signs of illness after 1 1/2 days. I will always keep these two products on hand. I did not remove carbon from the filter with either product.

I did notice that he loved to puck on corners and squeeze behind the sponge ...
This product really worked as described! I am a newbie fish owner, so I have very little experience taking care of my goldfish. However, I noticed that he had some scales fallen out after having him for less than 1 month. I didn't know how he had a few of his scales fallen out since he was in a 30 gallon tank. I have few ornaments in the tank, and there weren't any sharp objects as well. I did notice that he loved to puck on corners and squeeze behind the sponge a lot, so I assumed it may have been from that. So, I went online and started reading up on how to take care of my goldfish and how to help him grow back his scales or prevent more from falling. At this time, I also wasn't sure if he had other diseases as well since this was my first time taking care of a fish. So, I saw and read several reviews on this product where previous customers and experienced fish owners wrote about it helping their fish, as well as, preventing diseases and other ailments. I thought I gave this item a try. It was one of the best products I've bought for my fish. It really helped him healed his scales. I noticed the area where his scales were missing darkened and turned fleshy again. In about 1 week or so, I noticed the area started growing scales already. I am very happy with this item. However, this product is very strong. I have a small, young goldfish in a 30 gallon freshwater tank, with a 50 gallon Aquaclear water filter system, and following the dosages for this product for a 30 gallon tank, I noticed my goldfish acted very agitated to this product. His eyes also started bulging out more. After observing this, I did 25% water change and used half the given dosage. I think this amount was more tolerable to my baby goldfish. I also noticed that my fish scales and fins became silkier after a week of usage. I'm really happy I tried this product out. I would recommend a lower dosage if you have smaller fish. I also recommend to do at least 2 days 25% water change every time you use the product.

Life Saver! The best I've used!
I’ve been in the marine aquarium hobby for about 8 years now. Unfortunately, I have had to deal with more than one infection on my fish. Melafix is hands down the best remedy for fish diseases I have ever used. I’ve had to treat ich inside my display tank more than once, and it clears the fish up in a matter of days. Copper free, and reef safe, it is a great natural medication you can feel safe about adding to a reef display. Copper Band Butterfly fish and Hippo Tangs are known to be ich magnets. Simply adding this to my display tank in the suggested dosage cleared them up. I can assume that the tea tree oil is soothing to the fish as they stopped glancing off the rocks within a few moments of the Melafix getting into the water. One of the benefits I feel is understated with Melafix is treating and curing fin rot! Early on in the hobby, the first saltwater fish I bought was a Clownfish from a less than reputable national “pet store” chain. I bought 2 actually, and one passed within 24 hours. The other started showing symptoms of fin rot. As a newbie, I didn’t know what to do, and it was progressing quickly. I ended up setting up a quarantine tank and placing the sick clown in the isolated system. The fin rot had progressed up to where she didn’t have a tail anymore. It had progressed up to her third stripe. I had almost given up hope. She was dragging herself along the bottom of the tank the day I went looking for anything to help. I didn’t expect her to be alive by the time I got home. Thankfully, someone recommended the Melafix as a last ditch effort. He told me that her tail would never grow back, but she could possibly be treated. Thankfully she was still alive when I got home, and I started dosing immediately. Her response to it was almost instant. Within a few days she was swimming around with purpose. After a week, believe it or not, it looked like her tail WAS actually growing back. Long story short, she made a full recovery… and her tail DID grow back! She is now a full grown healthy beautiful Clown fish. Oh, and by the way… that was 8 years ago and she is STILL alive and in my tank! Melafix is a great product!

THIS stuff works and works safely.
Of all the things they sell to rectify issues with your fish - and I've bought far too many of them - Melafix has become my 'go to' product if a fish has an issue. It's 'natural' and will not harm anything in the tank. I have one fish (saltwater reef tank) that just gets an issue on or around it's eye from time to time and I use this and to my relief, it heals it ever time. If a fish gets cut, or bitten, and you need to prevent infection, this stuff works. I have used it according to dosing directions and for generally at least 10 days of daily dosings - and it works every time. Reordering more now.

Saved my fish!
To anyone having doubts- this stuff is amazing! My Betta fish got fin rot due to his tank being too hot, this has since been fixed and I now have a thermometer to keep tabs on it. His entire top fin was practically gone within days. This was a few weeks ago. Today, his fin is almost entirely recovered and the fin rot is gone! I have a 3 gallon tank with a filter. I put about 1ml a day and cleaned the entire tank after 7 days of putting this stuff in. I saw changes within two days of use, pictures are for reference! The first photo is two days after I started this, the translucent part is where it was already healing. And the second is from today, he’s still healing but it’s so much better. The pictures aren’t the best since my little guy doesn’t like his photo being taken, but the difference is amazing
