This bird food attracts all birds and squirrels! I have filled my bird feeder at night and the next morning, the entire feeder is empty. I am sure the squirrels are raiding it at night. When I fill the feeder in the morning, I see all kinds of birds coming by to enjoy the feed. :)

We have bought several different types of Finch food for our outdoor friends. This mix seems to be their favorite; as shown by the holes they make in the sock!

Amazing Value

We have been buying this exact same bird feed at our local pet store in bulk. My teenage son is super picky about the bird seed we buy. Once I bought bulk bird seed from another shop that was slightly different, and he absolutely freaked out. I know it is because of concern for his beloved birds, but really. So you can imagine his reaction when I told him I had found our regular bird seed on Amazon and placed an order for 25 pounds! It was not pretty. Well, the order arrived today and even he admitted it was the same high quality seed we had been buying elsewhere. By purchasing the seed through Amazon I saved a little over 1/3 the cost, which is amazing! Plus it was delivered to our doorstep, saving me a trip to the pet store. The birds were so happy with their new feed they literally jumped in the bowls to eat it right up. We most definitely will be ordering this product through Amazon from now on.

Good quality finch seed

Our Lady Gouldian Finches love this seed. Super cheap, too, bonus. Shipping takes forever (incentive to get people to buy prime membership?), so order a long time before running out!

For PET Finches Not Wild Finches!

Great buy for 25 lbs of PET finch seed. I've bought this before and I'm back to buy more. I have 15 Zebra Finches and they love this seed, plus it saves me a ton of money, even cheaper than buying low end stuff at Walmart! Very happy with it. Note: This seed is NOT for wild finches, thus not meant for outdoor feeders!

Good basic seed mix

First, an FYI...this finch seed mix is formulated and marketed for PET finches/birds. It is not meant for WILD finches. So the poor reviews for this product that buyers used for their WILD bird feeders should be disregarded. This finch seed is great for finches. It is a nice basic mix for most finches. If you have more exotic finches that require the dark oily seeds( niger, lettuce and etc), you can buy those separately to mix into this formula. This formula works great as a resting/maintenance formula for non-breeding finches. I personally use this formula for my Gouldians as a maintenance diet. This finch mix can be used Year round for finches that dont require “special” diets. But one should always offer other items such as fresh greens, egg food(periodically), minerals, cutttle bone, spray millet and etc., to round out their finches’ diet. This is a nice finch mix. I will keep buying and the price is great! And if you’re Prime, shipping is free. Usually shipping charges cost as much as the price/pounds when you buy bulk.

Not for wild birds!

My Gouldians love this mix. They eat every single seed so all I have to clean up are shells. Being Finch that love to fly, the floor looks like it snowed seed shells! I don't mind though because they're happy and so am I! I've bought this twice so far. I just hope it continues to be available!

The only food my parakeets will eat

The only food my parakeets will eat. No pellets, truly only seed. I'm pretty sure my birds would just starve so they kick all of the pellets out of their bowls. This seems to keep them pretty happy, not many husks to blow out.

Good quality and free shipping...whats not to like?

I was a little worried that it would be exposed to contaminants, but they box it with adequate protection and I have never had a problem with Kaytee products...its so much easier than running to the feed store for finch mix that I am not as confident with...the price is good and I save a lot over the old way of doing things...the free shipping and no long drives seal the deal...

Great Basic Pet Finch Seed

I have been purchasing this seed for years now. My Owl and Gouldian finches love it. My Canary eats it as well. I plan on transferring the seed into a large container for better storage. I am very happy with this purchase.
