Directions were a bummer, and I had to YouTube a little and look at other reviews' pictures before I figured it out hahahaha Yeah, I am a tad challenged in the "putting ANYTHING together" department. But i figured it out and my piggies like it and also look super cute getting food from their little trough. No issues yet!

This product isn't very hightech or overly fancy but it does exactly what its meant to do. I never had to worry if my pet had enough food to eat as this feeder can fit MORE than enough food to keep my little one fed for well over a month. As an added bonus it also keeps the habitat much cleaner than having the food in a bowl which always ends up on the floor. In my opinion this item is a must have.

This will fix that. I have two guinea pigs and I use this for their pellet food. It fits on the Midwest cages perfectly and I can put a week's worth of food in it for them. They haven't tried chewing on it too much so I cannot attest to it's chew proofness but it does all the other things very well.

Guinea pig is NOT amused... Regular bowl would be tipped ever time we filled it up but unfortunately she doesn’t know what to do with this other than sit by the endless buffet.. Install was really easy, although you do need some sort if crossbar on the side of the cage to stop it sliding all the way to the bottom, but its not such a big deal. Very easy to fill and the food flows nicely, once the novelty of an endless supply wears off, eating does seem to calm down a bit.

This is a really great idea. Setting it up was easy (you will need a screwdriver though) and it holds a fair amount of food (3 days’ worth for our bunny). It has holes at the bottom to let dust out so make sure you attach it high enough to not sit on the bottom of the cage. (Especially if your water bottle tends to leak.) We’ve been using it for a few weeks now and the plastic is hard/thick enough that she hasn’t tried to chew it yet and. I feel like the door on top opens the wrong direction for easy filling in the cage but it detaches easily so it’s not a big deal. We switched to this feeder because she was constantly knocking her bowl over or moving it under the water bottle. She was pretty mad that it doesn’t move for the first day but has since accepted it.

The bin works so well mounted on my rabbit hutch. The plastic is very heavy duty. It comes with instructions. The plastic clamp to attach the feeder to the wires of the cage did not work because it was not wide enough to stay in place. The wires on my cage are one inch apart. I abandoned it and secured the feeder with cable ties. You can mount this on the inside of the cage, but it is more convenient if mounted on the outside.

Rats are funny little creatures. They have a habit of stashing food away if you use a regular bowl and feed them once or twice a day. It's cute at first, but can be a pain when you realize that they bury all that food in the bedding, and find a lot of food that's being tossed out during cleaning time. Using this feeder, I no longer have to feed them regular food on daily basis, which allows me to concentrate on feeding them occasional treats. Not only that, food stashing stopped. My rats no longer stash their food, knowing that they have plenty of food readily available. On the bottom of the feeder, there are small holes where small crumbs are automatically filtered out as food is dispensed. This feature is handy for keeping the inside of the feeder clean, but also dumps the crumbs directly below the feeder itself. You can easily get around this by putting a small pan underneath and dumping it out whenever you clean the cage.

I LOVE this feeder. I have been searching high and low for a food dish that my guinea pigs can't upend and strew their pellets all over my premises. Seriously I think they enjoy doing it. But yeah, this feeder holds a lot of food, and since it's injection molded there are no sharp edges for them to hurt themselves on. I can leave them for a whole weekend and know they will have enough food, which is great. I highly recommend this feeder, it's well worth the extra couple of bucks. Fangarang the food throwing oinkerpig gives it two squeals up.

So much less waste and mess since we installed this in the cage! We have 3 rats and they like to bury and scatter their food when it's offered in a regular bowl. This has prevented anymore of that and food is lasting much longer now yet they seem to be growing and gaining even better than they were before (they are young)! It also has greatly reduced effort to keep up with offering food and the bin holds enough that it would not worry me to leave on a vacation if it was full. I'd only have someone check on them to make sure they were doing OK on water cause that goes much faster. I've had other feeder bins but I like this one the best. This is good quality, easy to install, sturdy, and works as expected. So glad I bought this for our rats!

My husband and I went out of town for 4 days and I needed a feeder that would be large enough for my little guy. I broke up some treats and mixed it in with his food to entice him to eat as we have had an issue with him not eating anything if we are gone overnight. Sadly, he still didn't eat his food. He only devoured his hay and drank a decent amount of water. However, once we got home he started nibbling. Once he found that first piece of treat he started to popcorn and continued eating. I think if he would have known there were treats hidden in his food, it would have been gone just like the ones I hid in his hay. This feeder definitely holds enough food for at least a week for 1 guinea pig.
