Had to install new speaker in my 1998 Chevy K3500, this wiring kit was super easy to wire in my new speaker to the factory wiring system. This allows me to quickly and easily clip or unclip the speakers when I need to disassemble the door panels for window repairs.

Replacing OEM speakers in my 2002 GMC Yukon XL - these are the upgraded version of the original adapters and much easy to fit on the spade terminals with a firm lock. I will buy these again...

Works as it should, I've bought a bunch of these, maybe 6 or 8 pair.. I have many different speaker configuration's I run and with these I can switch them in and out with just a clip, no cutting of factory wires. Fits my 2006 Silverado crew that had the bose system, but with metra''s help I've bypassed the whole bose system without any cutting of oem wires, and I can put it all back to stock if ever needed..

Seriously, if you are going to replace your factory speakers in your GM vehicle these are a huge headache saver! Check fitment for your specific vehicle. I used these when replacing the factory speakers in my 2007 Silverado 1500 Classic crew cab. These speaker harness adapters are well made. One end of the harness has the GM speaker connector and the other has 2 spade type connectors which connect directly into the replacement speaker. I was a little concerned that spade connectors would be lose or sloppy. That is not the case at all. They were SUPER tight and well secured to the speaker terminals. Spend the $5/pair and avoid a lot of extra work and aggravation. **Note** I used a small cable tie to reduce the amount of extra wire added by the harness. I did this to prevent the wire and/or harness from interfering with the power windows.

Works perfect for the front 2 doors. Male to female. However.. the speaker connectors for the back 2 doors are the same as these. Male to male. Had to do some splicing there. I would imagine most chevy/GM trucks to be the same.

Fits 2006 Chevrolet Impala LS factory harness. I would highly recommend getting a harness instead of splicing wires into the factory harness mainly because it looks professional, its less work because its a plug and play and if you decide to sell the car, you can remove the killer system u installed and put it on another vehicle and sell the car with any old Walmart brand music system.

This made it very easy to install new speakers and my front door panels for the very first time on my first attempt the positive in the ground wire are also two different sizes so that you can't really make any mistakes. Old connector pictured just slides in. (Had to clean it off)

Its very expected as to what it does the little clips were hard to push onto the speaker metal connectors. They were really tight, and almost felt like I was about to break off the metal to the JBL speakers I got.

If you are planning to change your speakers in your Corvette and you do not want to cut the harness use these adapters they are a perfect way of adapting a aftermarket speaker to the OEM harness

If you are installing any aftermarket speakers in your vehicle, these are just what you need to connect your aftermarket speakers to your stock speaker wiring harness...no cutting of wires needed, no modifications...just plug-n-play installation!, and then if you ever decide to get rid of your vehicle and wanted to, you can remove your high dollar aftermarket speakers, remove this plug-in speaker wire adapter harness, put back in your old speakers and plug them back into your stock speaker wiring harness! But will say that although Amazon's vehicle fitment guide said these would not work on my '99 Chevrolet Suburban C1500 LT (old body style) they were wrong!, As they will fit perfect for the front door speakers and front door armrest tweeters and for the rear side door speakers...with no issues...again plug-n-play! But will also note they will not work for the 4x10 speakers located in rear upper headliner part, as you will need Metra's 72-4500 speaker wire harness adapter for them! So all i can say is do a little research before you purchase any of these type speaker wire adapters and dont just rely on Amazon's vehicle fitment guide....contact Metra's customer service direct and they will be more than happy to tell you what you need, so you can buy and get the right thing the first time from Amazon!
