Works well for rain barrel projects.
Worked perfect with my 50 gallon plastic rain barrel project. Sealed tight, even on a "not entirely flat" area. Standard inside threads work with PVC fittings from your local hardware store.

I use it for making a hole on the side of a plastic bucket with flat face. Tough and works good. The threads on the outside are for the mounting nut. For connection you have female threads on the inside, allowing connections at both ends. They are of course standard plumbing threads, NPT or something. Same for PVC and other pipes. I also got the 3/4" version for connecting a garden hose to a bucket. Garden hose uses GPT that is easier to screw and unscrew, but do not seal well. In this case I need an adaptor, and the garden spigot is one. It also allows you to cut off the flow.

Great bulkhead, I used to have the slip style bulkheads on my 125 gallon reef tank but have since move to all threaded as they are so much easier to work with if changes or adjustments need to be made to the plumbing. I only hand tighten these when installing, using vaseline as a lubricant for a tight seal. Haven't had any leaking issues yet.

This product shipped to me pretty fast, I wasn't two impressed with the packaging it came in a a bubble wrap envelope. The product itself seems a little on the thinner side but however it works just great. Be sure not to over tighten. I used this product on my Greenhouse aquaponics system. I liked how long the threaded nipple is, I'm able to go through the plywood sheets with no problem and still have room to tighten up.

Had in tank for close to a year now, no leaks. Had to switch the hose hose baffles for the treaded ones for more easy piping to the sump and back

It's a one inch bulkhead fitting.
Ordered part and it's huge. I was expecting it to be 1 inch outside diameter and it's 1 inch inside. Outside is 1 3/4. My fault and it won't matter I'll just make the hole bigger. Just using it to put a drain in an ice chest so it is what it is and I'm happy with it. Only thing I can fault is I wish the threads on the inside went all the way through. They only go in about an inch on each end with an inch block in the middle.

Great bulk heads.
I bought two of these for my saltwater mixing station. I used them in the bottom of 44g brute garbage cans and they haven’t leaked a drop. A+ product.

These things always leak, so make sure you apply silicone to both sides before screwing together. Other than that they are a great value since they are hard to find and cost several times more in stores.

Worked great for my project!
Used this to make an aquarium rack system. Worked great but I had to use a little silicone because the gasket wasnt sealing well enough but that could have been due to the hole not being cut perfectly.
