I got a 65 Ford Mustang for Christmas and needed a set of jack stands to put it on while I worked under it. I wanted something sturdy enough to trust that it would not drop down on me. These are 2 ton each and I bought 4 of them. I used a hydraulic jack and raised it up, placed one of these under each wheel area and lowered it back down. Wow was it sturdy! The Mustang weighs nothing close to 8 tons, but with 2 ton each capacity these do more than support the entire car. I creep around under it on my creeper and do not worry about it falling on me. I would not work under a car that is jacked up unless it has jack stands like these under it. And these do more than the job requires in my case. Heavy duty steel construction and super easy to use.

These are very nice. The constitution is far superior to those from others in the price range. Received them very quick. I have the 3 ton version they look like a kids toy next to the 12ton stands.

Work well to support my Camry. I am not sure why some people complain about these stands. They are OK. All welds appear reasonable to me, and they are powder coated to prevent rust. Although one needs to lubricate lock so it does not rust. They don't have any problem supporting my Camry without two front wheels. The car is very stable, I shook it quite a bit and it remained rock solid. They are a bit high on the lowest setting so I needed to go almost to the limit of my jack, but then again it may not be the best jack. Over all they are quite good for the price and should support large sedan or small SUV without any issues.

***Amazon should really split the reviews out for each size. It seems like the issues faced with some versions do not affect other ones however they are all grouped together.*** I have two sets (4) of the 12 ton and so far I have not been killed yet. These things weigh about 30 lbs each. The welds don’t all look like stacks of dimes BUT I do not see any issues, cracks or stuff hidden by the stickers. Operation is smooth and handles clamp down nice and sturdy. The teeth all seem fine and go in the same directions. The bottoms have a generous area to stand on the tops are nice and solid. Some small things to note: Packaging for these suck, both sets came all scratched from shipping. All the feet don’t always sit exactly plumb without weight (millimeters). There is a groove for pinch welds that I wish wasn’t there. I really like this 12 ton set and buy again.

Perfect price for perfect item was easier buying these then going to harbor freight

I maintain all of my vehicles at home. From oil changes to transmission drain and fills, valve cover gasket swaps, motor mounts, brakes, suspension, etc. I had been using the kind of jackstands that have a bolt running through them and as I get older it became a pain in the neck to adjust them to the proper height as well as remove them from under the vehicles. Though the old ones work fine, I wanted something easier to adjust/remove when the work was done. These jackstands are so much easier to set up since all you have to do is pull them up and they lock into the proper height. When the work is done, you can push the handles and they retract. The welds seem strong, I made sure to check them upon receiving them. Saves me time from having to be on my hands and knees because they adjust so easily. They held up my wagon just fine and are sturdy.

So far I’ve used these jack stands a few times and they’re working well. I bought the 3-ton jack stands, which is probably overdoing it for my cars, but I’d rather have more capacity and not need it, then not have more and need it. They seem well built and sturdy. These are tall, even in the fully retracted position, so I had to jack my car up pretty far just to get the stands under it, but that’s ok.

I needed some jack stands for a project and these looked like just the thing I needed. I ended up getting three sets of the three ton rated, all from Amazon warehouse. So far (<1 week) I have I used one set to hold up the front of a 2003 Ford Ranger while I replace the shocks (ran into an issue with the job so they sat there for a few days) and these do the job just fine. I like this style of stand with the ratchet and pawl rather than the kind where you have to line up holes to fit a pin in. I found the quality to be more than good enough for my DIY jobs. Buying from Amazon warehouse I paid anywhere from just under $23 to just over $28 per set of two, for listed conditions of "acceptable", "Good" and "like new". the worst had some light scratches, less that what they will get with a couple of uses. The best was , well "like new" scratch free.

Very nice set of jack stands. I feel very safe using these. The vehicle in the pictures is a Dodge Neon. At that lifted height I get enough room underneath the vehicle to do just about any repair. The stands can go much more higher than that but that would be necessary for holding up a small SUV or a small pick up truck, for example. I'm happy with these and would recommend to anyone. Tip: remember to use your wheel chocks always!

If the price was not through roof I would pick up other set. These pairs have held up chevy Silverado classic and trailblazer no problem.
