I was not sure if I should order online or just go to the vet. The reviews on amazon were the reason I was more willing to go and just buy it. However, I decided to order them because I knew for what to watch out, and I was aware on how to check if the product is fake by reading the reviews. The Frontline came last Tuesday, and it just happens that it has come a day before I have to apply the formula to the dog. I am happy with the product; I don’t see any fleas on my dog. I have been buying this product for a year and a half now, so far I have to say that I am really happy with this product. I will update this post if I see any changes. I am a bit concerned that they might have had change the formula, since a lot of people mention it.

My method for the use of Frontline Plus Flea and Tick control for small dogs.

I always buy this product for my smooth coat Chihuahuas as I am very happy with this product performance! In the past, I found that I could actually use ONE application and split it between 2 of my Chihuahuas and it worked just fine! I now have 3 Chihuahuas (as of last summer) and have been splitting ONE application between all 3 of them! And yes, it still did the same job as if I had only used ONE application per each dog! NOTE: I am NOT condoning how I've been applying it!!! I'm just saying that my method words best for MY situation! I've found that when I used ONE full application per dog, it will NOT stay between the shoulders of a 5 - 6 lb. dog and ends up running down their necks because there is so much solution in one application! Also this products smells really strong and so using less also helps to control this issue as well. The good news is that I save A LOT of money and still get the same results! ; )

Ok, this rating is for the person that sold me this. My opinion of the actual product is different. This product seems to have changed over the past few years and it is not effective enough. I will go back to Advantix. But the vendor was prompt and speedy. :)

Frontline Plus is very effective in our area.

We've used Frontline Plus for many years with our dogs and have had very good luck with it. We live in the NW mountains of NC where, as in many places around the country, it has been a bad tick season. So far, no problems with ticks staying on the dogs. If they happen to bite the dog, they fall off dead. However, they can ride in on the dog and drop in the house or on a person and we can't help that...we just stay on "tick patrol" around here. No fleas at all.

6 years flea free

I have been using Frontline plus on my dog for all of his 6 years of life and he has NEVER had a single flea or tick on him. He attends doggy daycare where they have had flea outbreaks in the past but he has never been effected. Based on this history of the product working well and preventing any flea issues I feel it is definitely worth it to continue to use this product every month. I have also compared the benefits of this product with other flea and tick products and this seems to be the best you can get. The health of and well being of my dog is just as important as my own so I will continue to use this product as it has been successful for my dogs whole life and I have confidence that the product truly works.

I have been using Frontline on my dogs for 18 years now.Never saw a flea or tick on them.Product does exactly what it says it does.Be careful setting it down on furniture will remove furniture finish,do not set near food and keep away from children.Always was hands thoroughly after each use just in case you spill little on yourself.This product is made for dogs so do not use it on cats or any other animals.First time users I recommend doing test spot on your dog just to make sure they do not have reaction to Frontline.I never had any problems with Frontline in all the 18 years.I would recommend to others.

have used frontline products for a very long time on my 2 dogs a long haired pomeranian, and a schepperke and have never had ticks or fleas on either dog and living here in Arkansas we are called the natural state so naturally we have more than our share of both pests so this is a testament to its effectiveness. but like others have mentioned when applying make sure you apply to the skin and not just the fur

Best deal on Amazon!

Way back, you used to need a prescription, then it was over the counter yet still pricey. Well on Amazon you can get flea and tick protection much cheaper. However if you have long haired dogs such as German Shepherds, Huskies, etc topical flea treatments may not work well for you. I use this on my Jack Russells and haven't seen a single flea or tick and been using it for years. When I used it on my Huskies though I don't think it was able to get down to the skin well and I still saw fleas/ticks, so I use Trifexis for them, an oral flea preventative. I'll keep buying this from Amazon. It is definitely the real product, no knock off or imitation. Looks exactly the same as when I buy it at the vet's office.

Great Product, Even Better Price!

We have used Frontline Plus on our dogs for years, but the price of the product at the vet or the local big box pet store always seemed high. I had never thought of Amazon as a pet supply store, but I guess you really can buy just about anything here! When I read that there were issues with counterfeit products, I was a bit concerned. However, I saw that the product was sold and shipped from Amazon. I knew if it wasn't the real deal that I could easily get a refund. The price sealed the deal. I was able to get a 6-month supply for what I had been paying for a 3-month supply! I opened it up when it arrived, and it is the legit product. As long as Amazon is the seller, I will be buying Frontline Plus here. The product works. We live near a heavily wooded area, and our dogs have never had fleas as long as we've used Frontline. This is a great product at a great price.

Use the best worth it in the long run!!

Last year I used a different product to save some coin. Big mistake ! Over the summer last year my dog got 11 ticks. No joke , I take him on a lot of walks and go to the dog park. Carefully check every night thank goodness. But his wounds from the ticks toke so long to heal He does now have lyme in his system. luckily he is well but need to test his levels in urine for lyme 2 a year. SAVED nothing. After using this product he hasn't gotten a tick.
