Fits my Brother CX155LA perfectly, solid construction and great price!
I am SO glad I bought this when I purchased my BROTHER CX155LA machine. I can't imagine going to/from Quilting class w/o a dependable case. Holds my expanded surface table that goes on my machine and some other goodies. There isn't a way to secure your machine to the base inside, so keep in mind this isn't a bulletproof case. Your machine will still move about inside if you knock the case over. Still, without a designated sewing space in my house - this is a great protector for the machine, and even moreso when I haul it to class!

NO PROBLEM!
I had read the reviews before purchasing this case to house my new Brother sewing machine. I knew it would probably be oversized. So, I saved the syrofoam bottom that my sewing machine came packed in, and it fit nicely into the Brother 5300 Universal Case bottom. I just put my machine in there and it's secure and safe! Thank goodness for AMAZON REVIEWS because I was prepared!

Perfect for my Brother 1034D Serger!!
I wanted a Brother 1034D serger, which I received as a gift in December. I didn't realize that you have to buy the case by itself. So, I kept intending to order the case......finally got around to it. Glad I waited! Besides using the machine quite a bit, I got a great deal on the case. I decided to buy one 'open box'. The case was delivered promptly, in perfect condition. My machine fits inside beautifully, with room for the instruction book and accessories. The machine DOES NOT shift around inside the case. The one thing you have to do is: push the thread holder all the way down to get the case lid on! I even did it with 4 spools of thread on it, and it closed without a catch. I also noticed the lid fit better in one direction, but if switched around, it did not fit well. Something to consider if yours wont go on properly. My husband told me that sometimes the plastic can change shape after molding, perhaps that is why.

Save the packing foam from your sewing machine!
I bought this for my refurbished brother sewing machine. It's definitely big since it's a "universal" case but I headed the advice of other reviewers and kept the bottom packing foam from the original sewing machine box and it keeps the machine from sliding around. The wider sides offer lots of room for the foot pedal, a box of thread, pins, ruler, scissors, and more! I love thats there's extra space on the sides, unlike the Singer brand universal case. The case itself it kind of ugly, the texture makes it look like an upside down styrofoam cooler. I added stickers on the outside to make it a little cuter but at least my sewing machine is protected. Overall a great buy!

Fits my large Huskylock 905 Serger
This case JUST fits my large Husqvarna Viking Huskylock 905 Serger, which is probably one of the largest residential sergers made. It fits even with the thread spools on, although the thread antenna must be pushed down to the tops of the thread spools. It fits with the accessories tray nestled beside and behind the presser foot, and the foot pedal just fits if you place it in the accessories tray beside the presser foot and run the cord for it to the front of the serger, tying it up with a velcro cable tie. The measurements on my Huskylock are 15"w x 11" d x 13.5" h. There is a little space left in the case on each side of the serger. The reason this machine fits so tightly in this case is that the case is essentially cross-shaped. The center section of the cross fits tightly around the serger, but the case closes and latches with this serger inside, as I have described. I had to push the serger around a bit to find the perfect position where it would fit, but it does work. (Thanks to the previous reviewer who included photos of the empty case with a ruler across the base in both dimensions.)

Big ! Roomy ! Perfect ! Not just for BROTHER machines, also for SINGER !!
I was skeptical when I read the bad reviews. I almost didn't buy it because the bad reviews said it was small and did not hold their machines. But, I choose to try it anyway and figured it HAD to fit at least ONE of my machines, right ? Well I had NOTHING to worry about. This thing is HUGE and holds every all but one of my machines. The only machine it does not hold is the one I figured NOT hard case will hold or any "standard" case will hold and that is the Singer One machine. I'm going to have to fork out some bucks for a case for that one. Anyhow, the machine in the photos is my Singer Professional 9100 along with the extender table, instructions, foot pedal with room to spare. As I stated it also holds my Singer Heavy Duties with no issues. I will be buying a 2nd one since it easily holds my other Singer Heavy Duty machine. I love the FLAT square shape of it. We plan to move at some point and the square flat shape of it will fit in the truck much better than the other standard hard covers you see out there. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Will be buying again !!

Carry Case 5300 with Brother CS6000i
The standard CS6000i sewing machine model comes out-of-the-box with a kind of dust cover. But the Dust Cover is not a carrying case. I use both... so when I prepare the CS6000i for storage, I first put on the plastic dust cover, and secondarily I place the dust covered sewing machine into the 5300 carry-case base, carefully lower the carry-case lid over the top, then snap down the 2 latches. Done. Ready for travel. Note: Without the plastic dust cover in place, the sewing machine will not fit snugly into this 5300 carry-case, and will wobble around during transport. Solution: Pack up the CS6000i sewing machine using both dust cover and carry-cast top.

I love this product
I love this product. I was going to make a soft cover for my machine, but after considering the price and "what if" risks, I opted for the hard case. Note, if you just bought your Brother, and still have the original box, you may consider doing this. I used the packing foam from the box my sewing machine was delivered in to form a base in the case. I cut off the bottom portion of the foam, and trimmed it to fit into the bottom portion of the case. Then I cut away the excess foam level to the base lip. This keeps my machine from "floating" in the case. It works great! The hard case may take up more space, but it's durable and protects your machine from those "oops" situations.

Exactly what I needed
Great Sewing Case - I read through the reviews and was surprised at some of the reviewers giving it only one or two stars, most complained that it was too big or said it was ugly - I guess this shows their inability to read, as the item description clearly gives the dimensions (18 by 11-1/2 by 14 inches, 5lbs) and there were several photos (I think it looks just fine). This is a "universal" sewing machine case, it's not going to custom fit any one specific make/model - but it will fit pretty much all standard size home sewing machines & sergers. The case is exactly as described, it's well made of what appears to be a high quality PVC plastic, dimensions are true and it has room for either a sewing machine (in length) or a serger (in width). I have a Brother SQ9050 with the larger quilting arm extension and it fits well, . . and there's room for the extension table, pedal, cords, manuals, some patterns, and many accessories. To get the custom fit - I took the styrofoam from my original sewing machine box and cut it out to fit the base of this case, then took another piece of foam and cut it to fit in the top case section across center to keep the machine from jostling side to side (we sew because we are crafty and solve problems I thought). I could have taken a plastic bag and wrapped my machine and then used "fill foam" to get a totally custom fit. Some reviews noted that the bottom of the case was slightly bowed out (making it not sit flat), this is because of the way it was shipped with the base section packaged upside down draped over the top section - if this is an issue it's an easy fix - heat your oven to 350, and put it in the oven for 5-10 min then take it out and turn it upside down and place a med book in the center, as it cools it will reshape the bowed bottom back to flat. This took me all of 10 min to resolve and was far less time than reboxing and returning. Remember this is a "universal" plastic case and Amazon has it for $20 w/ free shipping - I looked and found nothing at this price point that does what this will. I also looked at the Singer 611.BR white plastic case that is similar $22 w/ free shipping, it's a tad smaller (20 x 12 x 15 inches), but I wanted a bit more room for packing my extension table & accessories (and the Brother will hold a serger). You can buy with confidence, this is a well made product for what it is.

Works with Brother SE400!! GOD SEND!
It fits the Brother SE400, embroider attachment, embroidery hoop, foot pedal, books, and pack of felt. Love the consolidation and rase! There's a little room left too, not much tho lol
