great packer-no contamination.
I purchased this after reading all the positive reviews and I must concur. This packer works excellent leaving NO air pockets in the bearing. Like the other reviewers I have done the hand packing thing Many times, too many. It took me 15 minutes per bearing, but this packer takes 15 seconds. The very best part is that the grease is not contaminated by the acid moisture of my hand. I noticed when I did the hand pack that the grease in the bearing would have a white tint from absorbing moisture. When using this packer the grease in the bearing looks just like grease in the gun. Given the price this is one of the best tool purchases in my shop. Two suggestions, purchase this packer and two find a dedicated container with a top, such as a coffee can. You know how grease is a magnet for dirt. The next time you use this tool it will be as clean as new.

Plastic is Better
I bought a steel bearing packer about 40 years ago that never worked very well. This plastic one can bend slightly to conform to the bearing, thus getting a better seal to force the grease around the rollers. Also, the cone shape of this one fits the bearings better than my old one which is just slightly rounded. All around, this is a better product.

A time saver.
I was taught old school packing bearings with grease on my palm. I'm old now and I do not like to waste time. This packer saves me some time and mess. Works great for me and more so if your a beginner as it will grease it correctly and fast.

Works well but needed a critical modification before use
Works well enough. One issue was related to where they drilled the hole for the grease to come out. The hole was very rough and had large metal burrs inside...not something you want going into a freshly packed bearing. Before using it, I used a 1/8 inch drill bit to clean it up and remove the metal flakes. Be sure you put the bearing on with the narrower side up.

Does the job
Worked well. Sure it’s messy but confident of a good pack. One add on I suggest is the clip on head for grease zerk so you don’t have to hold it on while trying to pump grease at the same time. Would almost require third hand. Very happy

Filled bearings 100%
It filled my boat trailer bearings 100%. I put the bearing on with the taper facing the same direction as the cones. It did great. As a test I put the next one on upside down, it did not fill with grease, so with my bearings atleast, you have to grease them in the correct direction...if it doesn't work, just flip it over and try again

Great price for simple bearing packer
I used this bearing packer on a lightweight trailer with excellent grease penetration. 680 miles so far with no wheel over heating. It is easy to use. Highly recommended!
