Works better than any other I have tried.
I agree with other enthusiastic reviewers. I have a 17 year old flame point Siamese mix cat with an extremely fine undercoat. This catches fleas that other combs cannot and usually holds them long enough that I can pop them in to soapy water. she loves it and, combined with other treatments, we are on our way to solving a persistent problem.

Perfect for flea detection and shedding removal.
Last summer, my dogs ended up with fleas. Our area had a bad infestation. In the past, I was able to use some essential oils and get rid of the fleas quickly. But this last time, it was bad. I washed them and used the oils, but both dogs were still scratching. My white dog, I can see the fleas quickly. I inspected him, but his itching was from allergies because I didn't see one flea. My black dog (who never has an itching problem) was still scratching like crazy a couple days after the bath and oils. I used another fine-toothed comb, but no fleas came off, so I figured she was just dry. I oiled her down again and she was still chewing on her tail. I ordered this comb and it came the next day. !Sonuvab*tch! She had live fleas. Every pet owner needs this to be certain. I even use it just as a general comb. Both dogs love it and it helps with shedding. **And let me add - I started taking care of a stray cat. Sweetest cat I've ever met. He loves it when I comb his hair with this comb. And it helps with his shedding. He's gone from a scruffy street cat to a shiny, beautiful house cat.

Great flea brush. Our cat had an infestation of fleas not too long ago and this brush would get so many of them out! After many brushings and a vet visit, we got rid of them. He doesn't love the brush... probably thinks its an evil thing trying to get him because he bites it all the time it's in sight but it doesn't hurt him because my girlfriend used it a lot and he didn't budge at all. Now I'm starting to think it might be he doesn't like me brushing him with it. Anyways, great brush, does the job perfectly.

Blown away!
Wow I am blown away! This comb works amazingly!!! Just got it at my door today and wanted to get some of those nasty little fleas off my cat asap! I was amazed to get over 30 fleas off of her using this. I hate the idea of using hard core flea medication on her because she is really a indoor kitty who just sits on our balcony. I just dont feel comfortable putting something on her that could cause serious side effects. So this was a great alternative and it works great!

Fantastic Flea Fighter!
Thanks to a ridiculously mild Winter, this year our critters have been the victim of flea & ticks, even w/ preventative treatments including various potions, lotions & notions. My old steel flea comb had been losing teeth & effectiveness so I went about looking to replace it. As I had plenty of other items "in my cart," I saw that this was offered at a relatively low cost as an "add on" & figured it was worth a try. I am delighted I did so as the double layer helps to not only pick out fleas & "flea dirt," but catches all sorts of crud those vermin leave behind. I like the weight & ergonomic feel of this comb & my cats & dog don't mind getting combed out with it. Of course there are those who absolutely love getting combed, but it's inevitable that there's at least 1 cat or dog who loathes it. My "loather," (as seen in attached photo where he's seen sniffing it after I'd given him a thorough coming from the tip of his black, heart shaped sniffer to tip of his tail. The weirdo has got to smell everything...) is a GINORMOUS Snowshoe cat named Furrrnando. He's a weirdo that has a crush on our white German Shepherd, Heidi; the Bringer Of Fleas, & he got hit the hardest because he simply HAS to be near her when inside. As he enjoys his evening walks around the garden almost as much as he does cuddling w/ Heidi, I combed him outside & was shocked to find his not minding this comb at all! I liked that it helped to get out some of his undercoat w/o snagging & I was pleased to see that he hasn't any fleas or crud left after having a treatment with Advantage last week. I used the comb on another of our cats, who did have a few fleas on him, & this comb caught the little suckers & the "dirt" too. I dropped the fleas into a covered cup of rubbing alcohol & when finished, I bring it out to our firepit & set it ablaze to send these little monsters back to Hades where they belong. I am glad of making this purchase & recommend it to others looking for a sturdy flea comb.

Best Flea Catcher on the market!!!!!!!
This comb is so good that I bought a second one. Here is how I use it. First I gently comb through my Papillon's long coat and immediately I place the comb in a ziploc bag. I hold it up to the light and see the fleas! I wait until they pop out of the comb in the bag then aI fold the bag over until I have the flea cornered. Then I take a pair of tweezers and snap!! I have also dipped the comb in Organic Apple Cider Vinegar which fleas hate and combed it through his fur. I have also poured boiling water over this comb to kill stubborn fleas and it holds up to that! It is a miracle comb and a blessing to my once suffering fur baby : ) and me.

Excellent to Have On-Hand as Needed
I've had this comb many years and it works well. My senior kitty gets "hot spots" where fleas nest along her spine because she can't reach them. I carefully comb these places when I can (she doesn't like it at all because they are so sensitive). Here's what I mostly use the comb for: 1. Combing through matted areas due to fleas. 2. I sometimes put diatomaceous earth in flea-prone spots and use the comb to help the powder get against her skin. 3. My cat can't groom all areas of her coat (under chin, armpits, belly, etc.) so I gently use the comb to 'groom' those areas for her. 4. I use it on the top of her head, sides of her chin and behind her ears too. She LOVES this. Because of her lack of mobility she can't get back there very easily so this comb comes to the rescue. I have a pet brush as well but this comb is great for small, hard to reach areas and especially for fur that's matted that you have to work through. It's well worth the small investment.

Works great for ticks!
I'm sold. My dogs have never had fleas but I bought this for ticks now that we've been finding them on our dogs so frequently. The dog's hair should be without tangles but my dogs have fairly short hair and don't seem to mind when it catches sometimes. I've used it a few times now in the two days I've had the comb. We combed a tick that we could visibly see on the dogs leg and it caught it and kept it between the combs and dipping the comb in water got it right out. I'm hopeful it will get ticks that we don't see immediately too.

I'm constantly spreading diatomaceous earth and popping capstars like candy in conjunction with a monthly topical
Let me start off by saying that I never write reviews. Ever. And conveniently, for fellow avid review readers, my first review is about this flea comb. I usually have multiple cat/kittens around the house; 2 forever fur babies and a rotation of foster kittens. Fleas have always been a nuisance. I bring in orphan kittens then, boom, the whole animal household has fleas. I'm constantly spreading diatomaceous earth and popping capstars like candy in conjunction with a monthly topical. I don't know how I missed this flea comb on my original "best flea comb for kittens" google search, but no freakin wonder it's listed as "the best of amazon" or something like that. It popped up on something else I was looking for... another "best of [whatever] for kittens" search. I saw it and was like "double row of teeth....whaaaaat?!... gotta try it." When flea combing my fur babies I usually wait until they're sleeping (I highly recommend taking the time to research and practice getting your kitty acclimated to being brushed/combed if you haven't already). I take a solo cup (or regular cup if you're classier than me) with the standard titch of dawn + water combo, a dish cloth over my arm, and a few tasty treats. Comb, dip, wipe, repeat. Holy [word I probably can't say on Amazon], this comb is bomb dot com. After 10 minutes of combing 2/3 of my current feline residents, I ended up with a solo cup of 20-30 fleas (see photo proof). No, I do not have an infestation of fleas and I clean my house very well daily. As far as I know, there isn't a comb with fine enough teeth to get all of the baby fleas on the baby kittens, but the double row of teeth definitely makes a difference. Yes, I understand this is a long review for a flea comb, but it was worth it.

... necessary to write a review bc this is the best thing I've bought for my little puppy
I felt it necessary to write a review bc this is the best thing I've bought for my little puppy!! Upon first use, I removed 15 fleas. My poor girl. This is after being unsuccessful with the monthly Advantage treatments. Buy it!! You will NOt regret it!!
