The hydroflush does a great job of back-flushing the RV waste water tanks and gave me the least number of setbacks from other methods of rinsing out the black water tank. After doing a little research, I have weighted the online reviews, talked to other RVers and narrowed the different possibilities to four methods. First, the bag-of-ice method is cheap and viable but the disadvantage is finding another RV dump when you get home. The down-side of the rotary-tank rinser is the clogging of the spinner and complaints of low pressure cleaning. Finally, the through-the-toilet rinse rod may create a tense marriage-life from all the yelling, back and forth between the outside spouse controlling the water faucet and dump valve and the inside person doing the coordinating! The hydroflush was the lesser of all the evils... simple backflush design... anti-siphon minimizes the mess... and single person operation!

This item does what it claims: allows you to see when tank is emptied and provides a way to spray clean water up into the tank — even works okay if the water pressure is a little low. Just make sure you have the nozzle (where the spray hose attaches) tightened and adjusted properly BEFORE you begin or you’re going to get sprayed in the face. I seem to learn these lessons the hard way.

Saved me a ton of money. My black water sensors would not show accuratel. I was getting worried that I was going to have to spend a lot to get my tank cleaned. Bought this and started flushing. I just kept at it and in about an hour my sensors were accurate and my tank was rinsing clean. My black water pipe has a couple bends so I was worried that the "jet action" wasn't going to have much effect. I was thankfully, I was wrong!! If your tank does not have a cleaning system (and maybe even if it does?) this is great. Highly recommend.

This thing works great for cleaning your tanks. (and for removing clogs too!) When I dumped my tanks 2 trips ago I didn't think the black tank was empty... it seemed like I barely got anything out and the gauge still read 2/3s full (was it full or just stuff sticking to the sensor????). So I put more chemicals in the tank and then ordered this attachment to try and bust out any clogs. I bought a secondary valve Valterra T58 Twist-On Waste Valve to put on the end of this flush setup so that I can shut off the drain hose and really push the water back into the tank. Sure enough, when I went out last weekend the first thing I did was dump the tanks and I got a lot of "stuff" out of the black tank. I then flushed the tank a couple times with fresh water (through this flush valve) and got even more stuff out. I bought this flush valve instead of some other flush valves based on the reviews. (other flush setups with built in valves had poor reviews due to slow flow). This setup flows a lot of water back into the tank. It still takes a few minutes to get the tank filled up (watch your sensors!) but its worth the wait. This was our last trip out for the season so I spent 15 minutes or so really flushing the tank out. I found the best thing was to do several short flushes (so you just cover the bottom of the tank and rinse out the "sediment") and then do a full flush where you fill the tank. The full flush seemed to pull out a lot of TP that was sticking to the sides. Now my tank reads empty and I know it is empty. I didn't bother flushing the gray tank. I was a little worried that I might push some black water contaminants back into the gray tank and it would get smelly??? Oh - one other nice thing about this setup is that you can really rinse your hose and pipe out. The last thing I did was to shut both valves on my camper and turn the water on to rinse out the end of the pipe and the hose. I know the gray water rinses out the hose, but I figure fresh water rinsing is even better.

This thing solved a big problem. It seems that my black water tank does not drain well. The level indicator often showed full or nearly full after I dumped the tank. I bought this on a hunch that it might help the dumping process. It worked. Every time I dump the black water tank, I connect a garden hose to this gadget and shoot water back into the holding tank until the tank gets too full for the spray to hold the water back. Sure enough, when I turn the little valve off, out comes more solid material that was left behind after dumping. Now my gauge will show empty. I also use it to rinse the hose after I shut both gray and black water valves off. .

I hope this works better than the previous other brand that I purchased. I've had issues on two models from another company, which I like very much. Usually, the valve for the back-flush stops functioning, and either won't let water in, or you can't turn the water off. We'll see if this one lasts any longer. Maybe we can get through one season with it? If so, I'll buy it again, and let you know.

This is an ingenious device that every RV owner should have. You can see the "material" flow so you know when the tank is empty and you can visually see if/when a clog occurs. If/when that happens, however, you don't have to disconnect the line and try to break through with a poker rod and try to get the collar back on before too much "material" has spilled out. This item has a water jet nozzle built into the housing that is specifically angled to blast through any clogs quickly and efficiently. I also use it to back fill a little into the empty tank to help the running water flush the bottom of the tank. Afterward, I close the black water tank valve and blast the inside of the valve discharge line with clean water before once again opening the gray water tank valve. As an added bonus, the 45 degree angle helps reduce the stress on the flexible drain line that, after installation will be almost straight down.

BAM! Love this device! This makes it a little less messy and makes me feel better about my poopy hose after connecting/disconnecting it. Pretty straight forward with how this device works. As you probably already know, this is used to clean out the hose for the Grey/Black water on an RV/Camper. Simply take the hose for your water source coming in to the camper/RV and screw it into the black nozzle, turn on the water supply, then twist the knob on this Adapter and boom, your sending fresh water into your poopy tank to flush it out. Wonderful!!

Did not know what to expect. I was told by friends to make sure I had this since it not only washes the sewer hose but cleans the black tank. On my 1st camping trip on my (new to me 2008 extreme Megalite) I used this at the end of trip. Not only did it wash my hose but it removed some old stuff that was left behind from previous use. My lowest sensor was not working before but after the wash it cleared up.... You can see all the nasty stuff coming out of the tank. I did the on for 3 minutes then off for 1 about 5 times... until I saw nothing but clear water coming out. It's a good investment.

If you own an RV or travel trailer, then you need to buy this device. Not only does it turn a two person task into one that a single person can accomplish, but it also does it better. I just used this device yesterday for the first time, and I'm positive that the black tank hasn't been this clean since we've owned it. The high-pressure stream of water that it shots back into the tank cleared the blockages that were preventing all of the solid debris from leaving the tank. And maybe the best part of the process was there there was no smell from the black tank at the end of the process. Our previous method for emptying the tank was to open the release valve and then "wand" the tank or just fill it with clean water and dump it again. Obviously neither of these techniques was very effective for clearing out the solid matter and both would leave the trailer with a smell that can only be described as "hot death" mixed with "rancid vomit". If you don't buy this product, your family (or whoever helps you clean out the black tank) should kick you in the shins until you click the purchase button. PS: For the record, we have a 27' Aljo and our dump piping goes strait back to the black tank with no bends.
