Great Piece of Mind!
AWESOME! Just what I needed. These suckers are LOUD and easy to install. Installation took a whole 2 minutes - for both doors! Your time may vary depending on how far apart your doors are :) I bought these because I have an adventurous toddler with older siblings who often forget to shut the door and we live on a very busy street. And while my 14 month old can't open the front door yet, he'll be able to soon enough. Three modes: Off, Chime, and Alarm. There is no volume control and the alarm mode is about as loud as a fire alarm - you will hear this go off anywhere in the house! The Chime just dings twice and then you can leave the door open. The Alarm setting will not shut off until the door is closed again. The two alarms came with 3M adhesive backing. Because I live in a house built in 1906 on the California coast, my doors do not sit flush. Please see attached pics for how far apart each alarm is - both still work beautifully! I attached the alarms at the top of the door so the kids can't reach them. Be sure to remove the plastic piece in the battery compartment before installing.

Small, Light, Loud, and Convenient!
I purchased these alarms for my parents' bedroom door; my father's memory isn't what it used to be and Mom was being kept up at night worrying about his wandering while she was asleep. So far I've only used one unit, but tested both and they work well. The "main" alarm sound is quite loud and I was concerned it would be too frightening if it went off unexpectedly (and requires someone to find the tiny on/off switch to silence it), so the unit I'm using is set for the "chime" sound; it's plenty loud without being obnoxious or frightening, and it's nice that it simply chimes and then is quiet again until the door is closed -- which also automatically re-arms the alarm for the next time the door opens. I had some concerns about mounting the alarm on the bedroom door because the frame has some fluting carved into it and there's a definite gap between the top of the door and the frame. However, I found a spot close to the hinge side of the door where door & frame lined up nicely, and even with nearly 1/4" space between the alarm and its magnet there have been no problems. The one negative is that I had assumed some form of double-sided tape or hook-and-loop fastener was included, but the package contains only the two alarm units (batteries ARE included) & instructions. I used a long, thin piece of tape to attach the magnet to the door frame and two small pieces of tape on the back of the alarm to attach it to the door and so far all is well. I had to get a little creative with the shape of the tape for the magnet because there was so little flat area on the door frame, and used 2 small bits of tape for the alarm box because I didn't want to cover the sticker with instructions for replacing the batteries. (It uses a stack of small "button" batteries, included.) Both the alarm & magnet are so light that very little tape is needed to hold them in place. Both my parents have commented that this little alarm is working without a glitch, and were relieved to learn they didn't need to worry about having to find the tiny on/off switch in the wee hours of the morning if it's kept on the "chime" setting. Even better, it's one less worry to keep Mom awake at night, so we're all happy with the product.

Put On The Door Heading Out To the Pool. IT WORKS GREAT!
I bought these to put on the doors going out to the lanai and pool. We have grandchildren visiting and they are able to open the door leading out to the pool area. We put the alarm in "chime" mode. It's very loud and effective - it chimes once. The "alarm" mode is loud and will continue until you shut the door. Less than 12 hours after we installed the alarm, our 5 year old grandson went through the door to the pool alone. Grandpa heard the chime and went to see who went through the door. Grandson was brought back into the house and reminded that he can't go out by the pool without a grownup. If you are going to use these for this purpose, you MUST respond to the alarm/chime, and see who set it off. It doesn't prevent exiting the door, but lets you know that someone has gone through the door. It's just another step towards accident prevention. Our next step will be to install some type of lock at the top of the door, out of reach. I plan on purchasing another set (they come in a set of 2) for the front and side door. If I were coming into the house, the alarm would deter me. It's loud, unexpected, and persistent. I recommend this door alarm.

Perfect for our autistic son
Our 6 year old son is nonverbal autistic, and has recently figured out the latch-style childproofing locks that we've had on our doors for a few years now. We've had a couple of terrifyingly close calls with him almost running away, and knew we needed to step up our security before something really bad happened. These are perfect. They have off, chime, or alarm positions. We keep them on chime during the day so that if anyone goes out we hear a very loud chime (I can hear it easily from anywhere in the house). I like that option because we do need to go in and out the doors during the day, and the chime is loud but not as awful as if the alarm went off every time. They work with almost any door, even or kitchen door where the sensor had to be positioned a little whopper-jawed (see pic). At night we switch it to alarm so it would wake us up if the door opened. This is not likely because we have turned his doorknob around so we can lock him in his room at night. That may sound cruel if you don't have an autistic child, but it is the only way to keep him safe at night, since he regularly wakes up in the middle of the night. We never leave him in there crying or anything, but our door is just across the hall and we want to have to wake up and let him out when he wakes up so we know he is up. I also put some of these on alarm on the bedroom windows. He hasn't yet tried to get out the window, but I didn't want to wait until he did. It also gives me more peace of mind at night in case someone tried to break in, especially when my husband isn't home. I highly recommend these!

Very loud, but no mounting supplies! (Updated)
(December 15, 2017) I ordered the two pack on December 12, 2017 and the package was delivered today, December 15, 2017. The items were a lot smaller than I expected, and to be honest, that is okay. They are about the size of a garage remote or maybe the screen on a Go-Pro. I like that they are tiny because I won't have to work harder to hide them. There are three settings on the alarms: Off, Chime, and Alarm. The chime sound is extremely annoying and is (in my opinion) meant for businesses. However, we might set our devices on chime during the day, and alarm at night. The alarm sound is very loud, and very (VERY) effective. I knocked one star off of this because the items did not come with any mounting supplies, such as strong double sided tape, Velcro, etc. Because of this, I have not been able to use the product as of yet. I will update further once I have found a suitable mounting solution. ------------------------------ (Edit/Update: December 24, 2017) Okay, so I have used these alarms for a little over a week now, and I have to say, they are fantastic! I am happy with the size of the alarms. They are very small (see photos), and that makes them barely noticeable! I also love the convenience of being able to turn them on or off right at each door/window/source instead of having to arm/disarm an entire home, like with a security system. As for the lack of mounting supplies included in my order, I am pretty sure that this was just a packaging mistake. After re-reading through the description and the comments, it would appear that the mounting tape should have been included with my alarms. Luckily, strong double-sided tape is easy to find! I went ahead and popped another star on this product's rating because, despite it not being included as it should have been, I am still very happy with my items. Overall, I'd say this is an excellent choice and to buy it! They are fantastic alarms! I've attached some photos. Please take a look! I will update again soon with videos once I can get to a desktop (Amazon mobile does not support uploading videos for some reason).

You’re stoping the bad guys with this one!
If you want to be safe and hear the bad guys trying to enter your home, this is the product for you. It performs exceptionally well at alarming you that the bad guys are trying to enter your home. It sufficiently deters the bad guys from continuing on their bad guy mission as soon as they hear it’s loud and aggressive alarm. It helps let the bad guys know that you mean business but you’re also to cheap for ADT. They will be completely be unmotivated by your lower economic status and will subsequently assume you and your house are probably broke af too so then they will go home and hopefully change their ways! It’s worth the money! You can be the change the world needs.

If you have a young child who is opening doors, save yourself some heart ache and get an alarm.
I have a 2 year old son. A few days ago I was asleep in my bed with my son. Husband was off to work and it was ~9am. Having worked a 16 hr shift the night before I was exhausted. I woke up to see my son still asleep next to me, so I went back to sleep. I woke up again (i don't know how long after) and he wasn't. I thought he must be in his room. He wasn't. The living room? He wasn't. The back yard, somehow? He wasn't but the fence was opened. He knows I let our dog out that door and must have opened it to let him out (how he unlocked it is beyond me for a 2 year old) He was not in our house at all. I could not find him while running up and down my block in my robe crying his name. After what felt like forever of my world slowly closing in on me, I finally saw our dog come from behind a neighbors house and along came my son chasing him holding a random object from their garden. I am now making damn sure nothing like that ever happens again. I've bought these alarms and chain locks I can put up high. I wasn't sure if these would work since my doors do not close 'flush' but with some ingenuity I was able to get them to work. They are certainly loud. I will know once anyone opens either of the doors. There is a chime option that sounds like you just walked into a store of some kind BUT MUCH LOUDER. They are small and very easy to install.

A true comfort when you own a pool and have children. It may be loud, but you will never not know if a child goes outside!
We recently moved into a house with a swimming pool in the backyard. One that did not have a fence around it when we first moved in. At the time we had 2 children under the age of 5. ACK! Horrifying. We kept a close eye on them, of course. But bad things happen....all too quickly! One morning I walked into the kitchen to set something down, heard what sounded like a door close and turned around and my youngest was nowhere. I walked outside...no where. Kept yelling and yelling...no where. After what seemed like ages, and waking my husband in a total panic, he walked up from our basement area saying he'd left a toy there the previous day. That was it...I started looking on Amazon to see what I could get the fastest and would work the best. These easy to install alarms fit the bill. I ordered. Later that day I mentioned to my husband what I'd purchased. He was very concerned about quality and effectiveness at the low price. I told him I had to do SOMETHING and the reviews were good. Then they arrived. My 15 year old son put them up for me. They are PERFECT! My husband had to admit it. We can hear the chime from anywhere in the house or even around our yard outside. We KNOW when anyone comes out that door. There is no way to adjust volume, only turn it off or on. They scare visitors to our home, but as soon as I mention our pool and that when we first moved in there was no fence (there is now) to keep them out of it....everyone understands. Parents that come with their children appreciate it. They get it. Most everyone does. We've had this nearly a year now and no battery changes or problems. I truly appreciate the manufacturers and the comfort this product brings to us on a daily basis!

Small but mighty!
We're moving from a house to an apartment soon and I was looking into affordable home security options. These alarms are perfect for renters and homeowners alike. The alarm is battery operated, so there's no need for expensive installation. Below I've listed my pros and cons of these awesome little alarms. Pros: Small, discreet design. 3 settings - off, chime, alarm. Easy to toggle between the three settings. VERY loud chime and alarm settings. (I jumped when the chime went off for the first time.) No-brainer installation. (Stick on) Cheap in price but not in quality! Cons: Depending on how your door/window set up is, it may be difficult to position the alarm at the correct distance for it to work. (I included a picture showing the max distance I could position the two pieces without disrupting the link between them.) The alarm turns off when the two pieces are put back together, which I can't decide if I like or not. On one hand, it's more convenient if the shrill alarm can be quieted quickly, but for security's sake it's not the best deterrent. The alarm is loud enough that even if it's turned off quickly, you'll be alerted that your door or window was opened. Overall, I love these little alarms. I plan to order more and install them all around my house. They are smaller than I anticipated, but I'm pleased with their quality and functionality.
