Replaced my old Quadrajet and I couldn't be any happier with the performance of my Chevy 396. Easy and quick change-out. The Edelbrock worked perfect right out of the box with the only adjustment being to the throttle idle setting. A couple of things to be aware of when replacing a Quadrajet with Edelbrock. 1) You may have to install an in-line gas filter. 2) Depending on the style of your intake manifold, you may need an adapter underneath of the new carburetor. 3) Not all air cleaners will properly fit on an Edelbrock, but fortunately Edelbrock makes some beautiful, show quality, affordable air cleaners. My recommendation is to install the new carburetor, then measure for hood clearance before selecting an air cleaner.

It was time for an overhaul of my old carb.

Since I had to take the old carb off and I have been wanting to see if a larger carb would help my 454 pull a new trailer, I stepped up from a 600 to and 800. The difference is well worth the price of admission.

Slapped this big dog on my RV 454 and got instant performance out of the box. So much better than the quadrapuke garburetor that was on there. Now it fires on first turn of the key and it idles.

Matches my intake, bigger than the 1407 I had on it, it's brand new, hasn't been rebuilt 10 times, came w/video to explain some stuff. MADE IN AMERICA!!
