Bought 2. The feature I liked on this is that it does NOT shut of after 30 minutes so I can keep my summer sports cars charging all winter

So far so good. I'm giving it 5 stars because it works precisely as expected. It showed both batteries on my 3 month old 2017 Yamaha Raptor 700R and 2 week old 2017 Honda CRF125F as being above 80%, but not fully charged. It took roughly 6 hours each to bring both batteries to 100%, which is why I'm glad I bought this 1.25amp instead of the junior .75amp model. Plus this Plus model will charge a battery too and not just 'Maintain' should I need that feature. Although I imagine charging a dead battery would take a long time on this unit, however, I bought it just to maintain good batteries anyway. Seems to work perfect for my needs so far. It doesn't feel cheap either. I recommend getting the Deltran 25' extension too as I ordered both together. You're not really supposed to use an extension cord other that the Deltran 25' extension which proved very useful as I had to use the extension immediately to reach both vehicles... Hope this review helps you... A note about what people are saying about Chinese made products. Yes, these units are made in China now, but as I witnessed when I lived in China: Quality Control and design staff are a separate group of people that are higher paid persons in Chinese factories by big American companies to make sure the product meets American standards, and this Deltran Plus feels of excellent quality. The unit is housed in metal, the cord adapter connections are very tight, the wires are durable, and the alligator clips have good spring tension and are copper.

I’m recovering from knee surgery and I knew my car would be used very little during this time and even worse, it would only be used for short trips. So after reading the reviews on Amazon I ordered Battery Tender Plus to have, just in case! Just in case came one morning (fortunately we have two cars, although getting into the other one was hard). I ran a 14ga extension cord from the house to the car and setup the Battery Tender per instructions. The two indicator lights clearly tell the story and it was fully charged 8 hrs later. But battery karma didn’t stop there...the second car’s battery went down because nothing in our driving pattern is normal at the moment. Same connections. Same result...fully charged after about 6-1/2 hours. Don’t know what we would have done without the Battery Tender!

I got this because the battery on my 2016 Harley Davidson forty-eight died from me not riding enough. My bike already had the plug for me to just connect the tender too, so i needed a tender that had the connection. This had it! After having it plugged in overnight, BAM! Im riding again! Love the ease of use and the indicator lights. We'll see how long it will last.

I purchased this Battery Tender Plus to keep my car battery charged while I was working out-of-state for a few months. It was well-packaged and easy to connect to my car's battery. When I returned home, I removed the charger, and my car started up like I had never been gone. It's worth noting this charger also comes with a cable that allows you to mate it with a Harley-Davidson charge cable. So, for example, if you own a fairly recent Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special, the charger can be plugged into the bike's charge cable to keep your battery charged during the winter months it's not used. It's a great product and one everyone should own to keep car or motorcycle batteries charged up if not being used for extended periods of time. Money well-spent.

It was in July 2017 that I had a electrical breakdown when I was 40 miles out of town and I knew that it was because of my habit of driving with my headlights ON. As I had a battery that I had bought from AAA the previous yr I then called AAA again for them to assist me in the pouring all day rains. The AAA tech claimed that the alternator was dead as well as the battery so he towed me a to Tires Plus shop where I plopped down around $400 for a new battery & alternator. So this weekend (Aug 4th 2018) while doing an errand I saw the Low Battery light came on on the instrument panel and remembering that drama from last yr, I quickly decided to invest in having my own Battery/Alternator tester and a Car Battery Charger. Overall I spent $52 for both and yesterday when I used the tester on the car battery it showed that the Alternator was OK but the Battery was low. I hooked up the charger and let it do its thing for 6 hrs and then retested the battery again and it now shows as FULL. So now I feel that I have saved myself at least $60 for not needing to have bought a new battery (No thank you, Mr AAA) and I can feel a bit self-sufficient knowing that I dont have to be charged a fee by the mechanics.

Best smart battery maintainer on the market! I have way too many batteries that only get used a few times a year or only in the summer when the lake is full. These keep my batteries alive when in storage and my batteries now last much longer. Before using the battery tender I was having batteries fail in 2 or 3 years. I've had one Delran Battery Tender for well over 5 years now and it continues to work flawlessly. I spent many hours looking for the perfect maintainer. Tried out a cheaper one that was rated well and had higher advertised capacity but it didn't charge that well and failed after about a year. Now I ONLY use the Battery Tender Plus 021-0128. I recently bought three more! This is the only one that gives you a TEN YEAR WARRANTY. And I love the simple operation, connect battery and plug it in! It automatically accommodates lead or gel cell batteries, no need to set modes, just plug it in and IT WORKS! Love this product.

Battery Tender resurrects dead (?) batteries! I had 2 batteries on the shelf. They were left in Ford Ranger Truck and a Ford SUV (parked on the property) for about a year and discharged completely. They would not take a charge with a conventional battery charger. 1. I hooked the Battery Tender to the Truck Battery and reluctantly waited for the blinking light to certify that the battery was 'toast'. I was pleasantly surprised to view a steady red light (to indicate it was prepping for charge. I left it on the charger for 24 hours to find a green light indicating a fully charged battery. The battery went back into the Truck about 2 weeks and it continues to start and run. 2. I jump- started the Ford SUV and parked it close to the garage and left the battery installed while hooking up the Battery Tender. Again, 24 hours later the steady green light is on indicating a full charge. Again, it’s been about 2 weeks and it continues to hold a charge to start and run. I was ready to trade these batteries into Wal-Mart for 2 new batteries at about $90.00 each and now I am using both! I have since charged another weak battery in the garage. It was a 12 volt small battery for a 15 gallon water pressure pump for spraying vegetation. I forgot about it for a couple to days. It didn’t matter; the Battery Tender will only charge to full voltage. Thereafter; it automatically reverts to a “tender” charger and maintains a full charge. It does not overcharge and burn out a perfectly good battery. I’ll be using it on the 8 batteries in the motor home. Well, it’s paid for itself TIMES FIVE in the first month of ownership. I couldn’t be happier. It goes down as my top purchase of the year! It’s an easy five star +. What would I like? I’d like the charger to be even smarter. I’d like it to hook up and find the correct voltage for my 6 volt; my 14.4 volt; my 18 volt; my 19.2 volt; my 20 volt and all those batteries in-between; especially for my tools. I’d like to bring some of those old batteries back to life! If you are like me; you have so many batteries and so little time. This helps out a little bit.

As far as I am concerned, the Deltran Battery Tender is the gold standard for battery chargers / maintainers. I have used a few and the Battery Tender is far and away the best of the three chargers I have ever used...another charger I used ran hot to the point I was uncomfortable leaving them plugged in my garage overnight and the other's trickle charge kept the battery charged at the expense of it only lasting one year. Battery Tender's have simple to use connections that look just like mini jumper cables and battery status is displayed via a red or green light on the front of the Battery Tender module. The best things about the Battery Tender are that it is very durable (I've had mine since 2011), it can stay connected without overcharging or decreasing the battery's life and it can be used with the battery connected to or totally removed from the motor. I've had success using this on 12v batteries for a classic car and on modern cars. The price has even come down in recent years. If you need a battery charger, look no further than the Deltran Battery Tender.

This is a 1.25A BatteryTender charger. It replaces my 0.75A BatteryMinder that just doesn't seem to keep the battery in my motorcycle happy. This has an oriented connector that can be used to connect to a set of leads that get bolted onto your battery. You then just leave the other end, the pigtail, somewhere on the bike you can get to it easily (in my case, under the pillion). Very easy to use, there is a label on the unit that explains what the 2 lights can mean. Pretty simple, easy. BUT NOTE: This a BatteryTender. Another brand is a BatteryMinder. Well, in their collective wisdom, the orientation of the pigtail connectors are exactly the OPPOSITE between the two brands. So if you are switching brands or have some of each, then you must be very careful to NOT MIX THE PIGTAIL CONNECTORS UP. The effect would be the same as reversing the leads to the battery. Which in the case of this Battery Tender, it sniffs and tells you about with a flashing red light, rather than indicating reverse polarity by the emission of smoke and flames. Not sure about the BatteryMinder. Forewarned is fore-armed! Brought my battery right up. Hurray!
