I deserved this pan decades ago. Doh!
This is the best fry pan I have ever owned. I look forward to adding other Swiss Diamond products to my kitchen arsenal. Next, a grill pan, I hope. The best things besides the superior non-stick surface is the mass and bottom flatness of the fry pan. It works so much better than my warped bottom Tefal pans on our radiant heat, glass top range. It is, of course, a matter of getting what you pay for. I could have purchased three and a half or four 12.5" Tefal fry pans for the price of this one Swiss Diamond pan. No regrets given. I wish I would have treated myself many years ago. I prefer the coated aluminum to enamel-on-iron pans due to physical limitations in my arms and hands. This is a relatively heavy aluminum pan, but gives the results of a massive, arm breaking, cast iron one. Giant omelets are a specialty of mine and this pan is a joy to make omelets in. This would be a great gift for weddings or for anyone you truly love that is limping along on a substandard fry pan in the kitchen. Given as a gift, it would have gravitas. The pan shipped quickly. The packaging is robust. We used Prime.

It may loose the nostick if you are not careful about cleaning
Best nonstick pan I have ever owned! I bought this pan in June 2011 and we use it every day. It is holding up extremely well. There are no signs of scratches at all. The non stick works as well today as it did when first purchased. We use medium heat and a few drops of oil or a little tiny piece of butter or margarine and we use a blue scrub type sponge and soap to wash after every use. The bad reviews given are because consumers do not know how to care for nonstick pans. These pans must be cleaned very well after every use to remove any oil residues. You should never use cooking sprays, because they leave a film on the pan and it makes them loose the nonstick surface. Also, you should never use anything more than medium heat, or the pan will brown and again loose the nonstick surface. About 6 months ago, my cousin stayed with us for a couple months and cooked eggs every day. The pan then started to stick when cooking eggs. I quickly found out that my cousin was not cleaning the pan well enough resulting in the loss of non stick surface. I took some waterbase degreaser( "Oil eater") filled pan about 1/3 with it and slowly boiled the solution for 5-10 minutes. After rinsing and washing with regular dish soap, the pan was restored to brand new condition. Take care of these pans and they will last a lifetime.

Best Pan EVER
Swiss Diamond Nonstick Fry Pan - 12.5" My husband complained about the small Teflon pan we had...and everything sticks so badly to the cast iron. So, I went online and searched for the most highly rated non-stick pan. This was the one recommended by most chefs...so, I ordered this in early December 2015; it arrived quickly, well packed, no damage. We were thrilled with the product. NOTHING sticks to it...could FLIP eggs if we wanted to. It is lightweight enough for me to lift and pour (despite my recent shoulder injury)...much lighter than our cast iron skillets. There's only one CON: I wish it had a lip for pouring excess bacon grease. Our adult children and their spouses arrived for a week of Christmas celebrating, lots of cooking...one daughter said, "I'm in LOVE with this pan"...but she nearly fainted when I told her how much it was...$129 is a lot to pay for a pan and for a recent college graduate, not something at the top of her priorities, but she loved it so much ("I can cook all six of our fried eggs all together")...I decided to order one for her birthday. She'll be thrilled. At the same time, I also ordered one of the smaller pans for my husband. You do have to take special care of this pan...so be sure you have special tools for cleaning and stirring, etc. I would recommend purchasing a spatula rated for non-stick pans...I like this one: http://www.amazon.com/KitchenAid-Nylon-Short-Turner-Black/dp/B005D6FX3K/ref=pd_sim_79_10?ie=UTF8&dpID=31S0FisL-cL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR158%2C160_&refRID=0PNN3PGPV1ZK5HNGEZ9A I also recommend purchasing a silicon whisk...I got this set: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Z8CJ7JK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s02 I also ordered this divider set to protect the pans when storing: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BV14VNE?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01 I am in no way affiliated with this company, manufacturer or anybody else.....I'm just a happy customer who rarely writes reviews.....it has to be REALLY Good or REALLY Bad for me to bother.

Great little pan!
I took some cooking classes a few years ago and the instructor swore by Swiss Diamond pots and pans and had us use them during the sessions. I always liked them but I never wanted to spend the money for a whole set. I recently got a new set of mid-priced, perfectly functional pots and pans that I'm happy with but it was lacking an 8" fry pan, which is one of my most used sizes, so I treated myself to this one. The best size at the best price and I really like the design of the handle. I may not ever have a full set, but this makes me happy!

Amazing!!!
Wow, what a pan. I have bought the 8, 10, 11, and 12.5 inch pans. I love them. I have recently and replaced my Ultrex non stick with these pans. Waiting for the lids to the 11 and 12.5 inch ones so I can really start cooking! I have heard so much about these pans and it is ALL true. Superb cooking!! Omelets to die for they practically flip themwelves right out. Don't let the light weight of this sturdy pan fool you, it's all about performance. Heats up evenly and doesn't need very high heat at all. I was almost tempted to just paper towel the pan, but went ahead and hand washed with warm soapy water. LOVE IT!!! AWESOME 2/3/07 I recieved the 12 1/2", it comes with a lid!! I used it to make panfry dumplings. I have tried Ultrex, non stick and Revere stainless, neither with good results. Both didn't come close to Swiss Diamond. Little pricey, but I will never have to buy another non stick pan again, this one has a limited lifetime warranty. Limited to the fact I don't cook commercially or abuse the pan. Even heating, even on burner that is not as large as pan, great browning and nothing sticks. Highly recommend!!

So far so good
The main reason I purchased this pan was because of its rivet-less design. I scramble eggs each morning and I was getting tired time I wasted cleaning the eggs from the rivets on the inside of other pans. First world problems, I know. This was one of the only pans I could find that didn't have rivets, was non-stick, and didn't cost an arm and a leg. I gave it shot and it's been working great for 2 months or so. I really "baby" this pan only using silicon utensils to cook eggs and it's never seen the inside of a dishwasher. I give a simple scrub with a non-stick safe brush and a bit of dish soap and it cleans up VERY easily. The instructions mention you don't need to use butter or other oils because there is the possibility of carbon buildup on the pan, but I use a slab of butter each morning and there has been no buildup. This may be due to the fact that I'm not cooking at extreme temperatures and I wash immediately after cooking Some of the reviews have mentioned flaking, but I haven't noticed that at all. Overall it's seen daily (albeit gentle) usage and it's been holding up very well! UPDATE 12/11/14: Continue to use daily and it's been a real champion. No buildup or flaking.

Great item, long review to follow
To start this works best with anything at a medium flame or lower. So if you want to stir fry something you can use this, but it won't be super nonstick. Nothing bad happens when you make it super hot, its just what will happen. If you keep it at medium or lower everything will continue to just slide out of the pan. Heat displacement: 5/5 -Heats evenly, no problems Nonstick: 5/5 or 4/5 -5/5 if you keep it on like heat 6.5 or lower on a scale 1-10 -4/5 if you like things super hot Cleaning: 5/5 -Clean this when its cool and everything comes off real well -Dont clean with a scrub brush unless you need to. That goes with anything, but it should just be stated Surface: 5/5 -Just don't use anything metal in this pan and the surface will seem to stay perfect (it has for the 7 months I've had it) Overall: 5/5 -I don't see myself buying anything non Swiss Diamond for the rest of my pots and pans -They do cost more, but are well worth it in the long run. In terms of cooking, and therefore flavor, and longevity if you don't treat it poorly Care: 5/5 -You treat it well and it will be great and easy to use -Can you treat it poorly? Yes, no doubt and don't be afraid to let anyone in the family use it. It will survive fine

Swisss diamond as advertised.
We have had the same frypan for a number of years prior to buying this one. It was great as long as you don't break the rules: never overheat, don't use metal utensils, never use anything rough to clean it. It always maintained a nonstick coating but our last one just got old. I'm sure there may have been a time or two that I was allowing it to get too hot but it still held up. My wife would not let me buy any other kind of pan other than this after the one we had. I have seen some bad reviews, but my guess is that someone didn't follow the rules of using the pan. If more than one person is using the pan often times that other person may have done something that made the pan not live up to its normal rating. Since it is just my wife and I, we know to use the pan the right way and no one else uses it so it lasts a long time.

A True Non Stick Pan That Works Beautifully
This is the largest pan in the Swiss Diamond line up and works beautifully. Nothing sticks to it. Excellent for frying a batch of chicken. Many non stick pans (like those copper pans that are so popular on TV) claim to be non stick and they're not bad. But there's a world of difference between "not bad" and truly excellent. These are excellent. Not a shred of sticking. Of course it's important to treat them well: no metal utensils, clean thoroughly after use, place a paper plate on the pan before stacking other pans on top. But these rules are easy to follow. Hopefully, the pan will continue to function well for a very long time.

My favorite nonstick pans!
As my title says, These are my favorite nonstick pans. I have used nonstick pans from many well known brands you might see in a department store and end up replacing them almost every year. The Swiss Diamond pans are more durable than anything else I have used and wipe down like something from an infomercial. The other thing I like about them is the thickness of the metal. The pans are thick, so once they get hot, they hold enough heat to get a good sear going and still get the other side of the meat without having to move it to a different spot.
