HUGE! Very safe, large, clear ball for adult female Syrian hamster

The photo is a comparison of the Walmart ball I had for my hamster. The construction of this ball is a lot safer(nothing sticking out on the inside), and the plastic is much more see through compared to the other ball. It's got wider vents for air and my hamster moves around more naturally. Because of this size, she can't get into as many small spaces, she's easier to see, and won't have to arch her back to get the ball rolling. Make sure to wipe the ball clean before putting your pet inside!

Awesome Buy!

Being a first-time buyer I had originally bought one that was too small, the 5" ball, misjudged hamsters size. So I returned it and bought the larger 11.5" ball. We take the hamster out twice a day to let her roam our home and she just loves it! Drives the cat crazy for she's always following the cat around! Love it! The ball needs cleaning once a week inside and out from usage. It's a little hard to lock and unlock the door, but when locked it stays locked until you open it. Was one of my fears the door opens and the hamster gets lost, or eaten.

Perfect size

Perfect for our little guinea pig! Keeps her safe and sound from the cat! No animals were injured during the capturing of this photo. (Yes, the cat is in the ball and not the Guinea pig ...haha)

Gave it a try and the product is good.

Good product. It is nice and big. It clips together easily. It was a "risky" buy for me because I was not sure if my pet rats would like it. They hate their running wheel, but I want them to get exercise. I can't let them wander because they chew on wires, so I figured I'd try the ball. It has lots of air vents and their feet have never gotten stuck. It is not their favorite thing, but they will explore for a few minutes and get some exercise, then they're about done with it. I am hoping they will continue to have small bouts of enjoyment in it as it provides good exercise! I have had no problems with any part of the ball. I see no reason to leave a poor review just because my rats don't love to run in it :)

My rats dont think the world outside their cage is pink anymore.

I bought this to replace a run-about of the exact same brand and size for my rats. The previous one I bought from petsmart and it was the last one that looked big enough for my rats. It was also pink. I didn't like that it wasn't clear but it was an impulse buy really so I didn't think about ordering one at the time. My dog ended up chewing up the lid to it after smelling rat smell on it and I replaced it with this clear one. Now my rats dont think life outside their cage is all pink anymore. Hooray for them!!

Perfect!!

This ball was perfect!! I got this ball for my Syrian Hamster and when I first pulled the ball out of the package, I was very intimidated by the size. But when I put her in the ball she was able to easily push herself around the house while having lots of space in the ball. It was very easy to assemble and everything seems to be in order. It also arrived a day earlier than expected! I really recommend this product if you are looking for a ball for Syrians all the way to Chinchilla size (although it won't be as roomy for a Chinchilla) :) UPDATE: Although this ball was great for my hamster, it didn't last very long. It's falling apart at this point and I've only had it 6mo or so, I don't know, it's plastic so... consider this when buying.

We've had this exercise ball for a year now. I've read plenty of negative reviews that state that these are scary and not safe for rats but my rats love this thing. They literally jump into it when we bring it over to their cage. We have 6 girls and when we hold the ball to their open cage door they all try climbing in the ball together (we don't let them, of course). They love the freedom of roaming outside the cage. One of my girls would walk in the ball over to our screen door and just sit there and sniff the fresh air. Some of the other girls love to run and zip all over our house. You do have to keep an eye on them while they are in the ball though. The plastic on ours cracked after about 6 months of use so I'm not sure its the greatest quality but they seem to really enjoy it anyways. We don't leave them in the ball for very long either. 15-20 minutes is more than enough time. I like that this one is clear. It just seems like clear would be easier to see through than a colored one. Who knows though. Overall I would recommend using this for pet rats. If your rat doesn't like it, then don't use it but some seem to really enjoy it and it's good exercise. I try to make my reviews engaging and useful. perfect for our little hedgehog. it was so funny when he was a baby the ball was huge compared to him but he got around in it then and sails around in it now

COLORS MAY VARY!!!! Didn't really notice that part. Was expecting a pink one, got a green. Oh welll. The only reason this has bad reviews is because people are stupid and get this for guinea pigs (which it is NOT for) then give this a 1 star review. you can ignore almost all of the 1 star reviews. Almost seems like one idiot killed their guinea pig in one then made 30 accounts just to give this a 1 star review. this works perfect for my rat, no problems at all. seems solid. great for RATS

Your pet will love this!!

My fancy rat loves it! It seems to be durable, crystal clear view for her to see out of and me to look in, came in two parts that was super east to snap together, it's really big so she is able to fit comfortably inside with no issues and took to it right away. It gives her great exerciser and the opportunity to explore the house without me loosing her. So glad I ordered this for her!
