This little adapter is such a convenient tool. Gone are the days when one of us had to stand by and fill the RV by hand while doing nothing else. Last week I simply turned the faucet on, inserted this tube/filler, opened the valve and continued unpacking the trailer. Once the water was overflowing I turned off the valve and was done. There was no mess or rush to turn off the faucet. I showed it off the the group and they all want one now. I'm not sure why I didn't buy this from the start.

This is a must-have for RV owners. The design of fresh water tanks is set up so you cant "hard connect' a water hose and possibly damage the tank when filling, but the filler seems to dump more water on the gound than in the tank. It can also be hard to get disinfectant into the tank when sanitizing. The Camco water tank filler solves all these problems without any danger to your fresh water tank. When I add bleach to sanitize, I don't spill a drop when using this device with a short lenght of hose. The shutoff valve is a bonus that lets you shut off the fill water without going back to the tap. My only regret is that I didn't discover this years ago.

The Camco water tank filler makes the job of filling my RV fresh water tank easy. No water ran onto the garage floor. I didn't need my wife to sit next to the water faucet to prevent a flood when the tank was full. Love the shut off. Why didn't I buy one of these years ago?

Filler apertures are high up on the coach and with no threaded coupler. Heavy water hoses have to be lifted and then bent to fit the aperture with no way to keep them in place. This simple device with its own light shutoff valve solves a lot of those problems. The flexible neck goes far enough into the water filler opening to hold the hose in place and then you can remove the hose without having to run over and turn off the water. I bought three so that I would always have one available at home and on the road.

Excellent. I would never fill my tank without one of these. We bought our very first camper and this was one of the things I saw in the "what other people buy" list when I was buying wheel chocks. I am so so so so glad I bought this. While filling my tank for the VERY first time I hooked it up to the potable water springy thing and put it in the tank and didn't have to hold it or anything. The older gentlemen next to me who looked like he had been camping for a while did not have this. He put the hose in the mouth of his filler neck and thought it would hold. He let go of it and the hose let go and due to the spring on the blue potable water dispenser it whipped the hose threads right into the side of his camera. I don't know if it dented it but it definitely made a good thud and he looked embarrassed. Thanks amazon for helping me impulse buy something that is actually really awesome!

This product worked exactly as we hoped! We just purchased a brand new camper, and for whatever reason, we could only get about 30 gallons (1/3 full) in our fresh water tank, the water would eventually come flowing back out of the full spot. Used this product today, and we were able to get a full tank! We ran the water at a very low pressure, and I would shut it off every so often and could hear it venting, but nothing came back out! It was also pretty great because I didn’t have to stand there and hold the hose.

When I received this filler I was disappointed. It looked too simple. That opinion changed radically when I put it into use and found that it controlled water flow much better than the hose nozzle I had been using and could be shut off when full, allowing me to go to the faucet and shut off the water and avoid making a big mess. In storage, I would recommend storing it in a Ziploc bag to keep it sanitary. An inexpensive fix of the "why didn't I think of that" category. You could jury-rig something to act like this but it wouldn't be worth your effort.

When I purchased my RV in February, I found this handy tool in one of the drawers but had no idea what it was for. It was pretty old looking and no one had bothered to tell me what it was for, so I just tossed it in the trash. A few months later I found myself Googling how to fill an RV fresh water tank and realized what I had thrown out. This item makes filling your fresh water tank a breeze! Just last weekend I was using it at an RV park and my buddy asked what it was for. After explaining it to him, my buddy said, "I just put the hose up to the inlet and let if fill." I explained that using this tool keeps the water from splashing all over the side of your rig and then showed him how it worked. Needless to say, another fan was created.

A simple idea that eliminates spills while filling RV water tanks. Without this tool, it took two people to fill the fresh water tank in our travel trailer. The inlet opening was not large enough to hold the water hose nozzle in place while filling, meaning that someone had to be at the fill port to hold the hose and someone else had to remain at the faucet to turn the water on and off. This device extends into the water input port on the vehicle allowing you turn on the water at the faucet. When the tank is full, you can turn off the water at the nozzle before returning to shut it off at the faucet. This makes filling a water tank a one-person operation.

I'd been filling our RV's water tank with the sorts of adjustable nozzles you get to put on a garden hose, for gardening. Both twist and lever types. This cost half as much as works twice as well. The long nozzle reduces blowback--you know, where it spits water out of the filler--and the 90 degree valve is the best for this application. I'm used to products being sort of adequate--or being great, but costing a lot, and/or being high maintenance. So it deserves noting, and applause, when you find a product like this that's simple, effective...and cost-effective. If you have an RV you should have this.
