Awesome Outdoor Toy
A couple years ago, my boys got a different version of one of these for a birthday present and even the adults were entertained. Eventually, the parts broke/wore out so this year, we ordered this one for our son's 5th birthday. The 2 extra rockets are definitely worth it as these things fly high enough to wind up on the roof at least once a day. My boys (ages 7, 5 & 2) and their friends have endless fun with these! The rockets are more durable than the older style ones and the fins stay on them better. The soft rubber tops are soft enough to not hurt at all when they inevitably come down on someone's head (like... say... a 2 yr old brother who wants to get in on the action). And, it's easy enough to use that even said 2 yr old can stomp on it enough to launch it a few feet in the air. The one con is the stand that hold the rockets. It comes apart way too easily so I just duct taped it together - problem solved. For the price and durability, there's nothing out there that can even come close to holding the boys' attention like this can!

Lots of enjoyment!
Our neighbors have this (or something similar) and my boys loved it (ages 6 and 4), so I decided to get them their own. Assembly was easy to understand but it was a little hard to fit together. And once I did, it easily came apart if they messed with it too much. BUT I fixed that by zip tying those pieces together and now I don’t have to keep trying to fit them together every 5 minutes! I also happened to have metal hooks that secure it into the ground and keep it in one spot, but the neighbors don’t have that and it works fine. I just didn’t want it bouncing around everywhere. Once I figured out how to secure it completely, they could play with it on their own and really enjoy it!! One will stomp on it and the others will try to catch it. Or they’ll just try to see how high it goes. It’s a fun warm weather toy. :)

Great Fun to be had with this product.
I was a little skeptical at this purchase at first, but it delivered in entertainment value. The product itself is made of plastic and has withstood the test of time so far. The stand itself is a little annoying sometimes, because the launcher always wants to tip over. We fixed that by adding something with weight to prevent it from tipping over. Not a major deal breaker. We took this to the park and the kids went wild with it. They made up different games and contests with it and were entertained for hours. Our puppy, Cinnabon, even got into the mix. We bought extra Rockets along with the 4 that came inside the product to keep the fun going. The Rockets themselves are very light and go very far depending on how hard you step on the Stomp Pad. Use the Rockets only for what they are intended for and they should last awhile. You don't want to crush them or bend them because they are made of plastic and foam. Great fun for a great price. Trust me these Bad Boys will go far!!!

ultra stomp rocket vs junior stomp rocket
Prior to purchasing, I searched all over to try and figure out the difference between the Ultra Stomp Rocket and the Junior Stomp Rocket Kit. Both products list for a similar price. The Junior version advertises that rockets will soar up to 100 feet in the air and the Ultra version lists a slightly higher height of up to 200 feet. But the age ranges for the 2 products are substantially different with the Junior Stomp Rocket recommending ages 3-8 and the Ultra Stomp Rocket recommending ages 8+. For my 4yo son, we started with the Junior Stomp Rocket. He LOVES it! When/If going outside is not possible, he holds the stomp pad under his arm and points the rocket and shoots the missiles around the house. Because the rockets are all foam, they do not do any damage to walls, furniture, (or mom and dad, thankfully). When outside, my son literally plays with this toy for hours, adjusting and playing around with how hard you need to stomp to get the rocket to go really high. Both the Ultra and the Junior Stomp Rocket kits come with a plastic rectangular "stomp pad" connected to a flexible tube. The end of the tube connects to one of the plastic/foam rockets (4 are includeded in each kit). There is a small plastic stand that you can put together to use as a launch base. Snap the plastic tube onto the base and stomp on the pad. Air is shot through the tube and propels the foam rocket up into the air. We now have both the Ultra and the Junior Stomp Rocket kits and the only real difference I found is in the size and shape of the rocket missiles. The Ultra Stomp Rocket missiles are larger in size and shape. They have a plastic shaft with small plastic fins on the bottom and a large foam head. The junior stomp rocket missiles are smaller and made entirely of foam. Other than that, the launching equipment for both are exactly the same. Refill Rockets for both the Junior and Ultra models come in varying colors and sell (at least on Amazon) for under $[...]. Whether you buy the Ultra Stomp Rocket (listed here) or it's sister product Junior Stomp Rocket, you will be getting a fantastic toy! This toy is so simple - no assembly required, no batteries, just easy to use and loads of fun! I do have a slight preference in favor of the Junior Stomp Rocket, only because I like the missiles that are all foam if you are going to be using the toy inside. Also, the junior version has glow in the dark refill rockets. Really cool for night time use Junior Stomp Rocket Toy Glow in the Dark Refills. For some reason, you can only get the glow in the dark refills in the "junior" size.

4 Year Old Loved It!
We bought it as a gift for a rambunctious four-year-old. Even though the box says it is for ages 6+ he still thoroughly enjoyed it. His 2-year-old sister even had fun with the thing. Granted, neither of them got the rockets to shoot more than 20 feet, but any farther and they wouldn't have retrieved them. We only had two issues; 1.) it was so much fun that it took a lot of self-control and adult intervention to facilitate actual "sharing" as neither child wanted to stop using it, and they had to take turns. 2.) The tripod that comes with the rockets is not well built and falls apart with use, meaning you have to continue putting it back together. This is something a touch of duct tape can fix. All in all, good quality fun for the price we paid.

Quick and easy assembly (2-3 minutes)
Quick and easy assembly (2-3 minutes). Easy to use right away. Even our tiny 3 year old was able to make the rocket shoot a tiny bit into the air. 7 year old boys jumping onto the pump had the rockets soaring! :) Quality wise, it seemed to hold up to birthday party use very well, even with some exuberant children. The materials, however, are a thin plastic (and, of course, foam for the rockets), so I'm not sure how long it will last. My guess is given the amount of use, even though it's not incredibly sturdy, it'll last quite well. UPDATE: 6 months later, kids still LOVE it! It's holding up to typical play. My only complaint is the tripod that it rests on. It seems to be lasting well, but it sometimes pops apart mid play and I have to put it back together. Makes for compact storage, but I wish they'd add a more substantial option so my kids wouldn't need to get me to fix the tripod for them before they play.

Go-to gift for anyone who loves to have fun!
I ordered one for my grandson who is about to be 4. We had a blast playing with it, both indoors and out. They have high ceilings, so indoors was fun to see if they could hit the ceiling - and they could! They loved it so much I ordered another as a birthday gift and it also has been a huge hit. This will now be my go-to gift! One drawback is, the stand is a little wonky. On one we just used colorful duct tape to keep it together. On the other, the tube didn't want to stay upright, but there again, a couple inches of duct tape worked to stabilize it. For less than $20 and months of playtime, its a winner! Not forgotten in the back of the playroom with the other toys.

Sturdy enough to hold up to preschoolers stomping the hell ...
Sturdy enough to hold up to preschoolers stomping the hell out of it during supervised play for 9 months. Was torn apart in one afternoon when I wasn't supervising and their a-hole siblings got ahold of it, but that's more a parenting issue than a product problem. That said, this is an awesome toy and I think every kid should have one. Lots of opportunity to learn and have fun (what if I aim it this way? can I stomp harder and make it go higher? What happens when Billy doesn't heed Teacher's warning and he runs into the NO GO zone and looks down on it just as I jump? Do eyeballs grow back or are they one and done?). Seriously. Billy's dumb. I told him like 4 times to make better choices. He didn't lose an eye. It's totally safe. But it sure scared him. hehehehe. Oh, Billy. I'm so glad you're in kindergarten now. It's a great open-ended toy.

Lots of fun, easy to set up
Although this product has apparently been around a long time, I had never heard of it. Someone brought one to my daughter's on New Year's Eve, and the lady's son, my two great grandsons, and in fact, everyone from 3 to 78 had fun "stomping." The product works well, kids love it, but it looks like something that will not hold up under heavy kid use. No big deal since it's not that expensive.

One of the best, simplest toys ever!
Simple to assemble, easy to use, requires no batteries and no instructions. Just put a rocket on and then stomp the stomper! I have bought this for multiple nephews and everyone loves it. It is great for gatherings and parties as well- it gets the kids outside and never gets boring because they can compete for who shoots it the highest, or they can aim it at things and stomp. I would recommend getting the refill kit just so the fun stays moving at a good pace.
