I love this product
I love this product! I first did some online research to find the best device that one individual could use to simulate the important aspects of massage and the Body Back Buddy seemed to have the highest number of positive reviews by owners. I ordered one for myself and fell in love with it so I ordered two more for two friends of mine who had back and tension issues, who I knew would benefit..I'lll be checking on them soon but I have no doubt that they will appreciate my gift!

Knots and neck
An absolute godsend. No more corners of two walls, a golf ball, or tennis ball. This is amazing. You go after a knot from different angles so as not to add pain from repeated same directions. Using the single knob from the one end, you attack the knot from various angles and get instant relief. The knot obviously doesn't disappear forever, but if it stars hurting again, just do it again. Just go at it at different angles. I bring it in the car if it's a long day and you can use it in the driver's seat if you don't want anyone to look at you. As for the neck? Great. you hear the slight cracking and instantly feel better. While driving on a long trip, it's simple to do the neck with one hand on the wheel once you figure it out. I did knots a little while driving, but depending where the knot is, it's easier to pull over for two minutes for a couple hours relief. I only use the top crook with the one ball for knots and the full clear crook for my neck. I'm so happy with this weird looking contraption. You will find your way. Right hand on the piece that sticks out for the pressure you want and the left hand to attack the knot. The neck is simple. The crook goes across and around the neck and again the right hand on the sticking out knob applies the pressure. I don't ever use the crook with three balls. Two hands low for direction. Truly excellent

Pull the Trigger and get this!
This massage stick is great at getting to areas that you just can't reach on your own. I know it looks a little odd but it really works! My husband has degenerative back disease, and I have constant stress and pain in my shoulders. This body back trigger massage makes it easy for me to work out knots and stress on my own. It really doesn't take much to figure out how to use it. Put it wear it hurts and rub, rotate, and massage until you feel relief. You can easily spray and wipe this down to clean it, there is nothing to ruin! You don't need any electricity. I can throw this in my car and use it after a run. I love the "s" shape because I can easily hang it over a hook on the door of our bedroom and it's out of the way but still easy to access. We loved this trigger massager so much we actually have two and several members of our family have ordered these as well! I paid regular price for this back buddy and it was worth every penny! I received nothing in exchange for testing and reviewing this item.

Dude. Put your dept name on it so it doesn’t walk away.
Dude. It hits every spot perfectly. We used to go to OT/PT and grab theirs. They get all mad and huffy. (We bring it back. ) Now that we have this they can keep their old half sized version. This is better. Big sharpie lettering to tell OT/PT which unit this belongs on so it doesn’t walk away. Guess what? Found it in their dept. one of the PTs insisted it was theirs. Nope. Now they get all mad and huffy because we have the good one. Nothing makes a nurse happier than getting a knot in their back to release. Well coffee does make nurses happier. But this is a close second.

Five stars aren't enough!
I have a chronic problem with a knot in my rhomboid muscle which was greatly exaggerated after falling off a ladder 2 weeks ago. Even with pain killers and a muscle relaxer, I couldn't sleep more than a couple of hour before the pain woke me. I found this doing a google search on "rhomboid pain" and ordered it immediately. Arrived yesterday, and, for the first time since my accident, I slept through the night without even taking pain medication! This is truly a life changing device and I'm so thankful for it!

Difference in a matter of days
I seldom leave reviews for anything; I'm the type to get what I want use it and be done. However, I feel the need to write a review to anyone who has gone through hell and back with back pain. I've had two knots on each side of my back for months that have made it hard to sit or stand for long periods of time. I've gone to my chiropractor and a massage therapist, neither of which were really able to fully get to the knot and release it. The last massage I had, the massage therapist told me about getting a theracane to help with the tight muscles because not even she could get far enough down to reach the knots I had. Instead of a theracane I chose the Body Back Buddy. It's made of a very solid, well made heavy duty plastic that doesn't feel cheap or flimsy so I'm not afraid to lean into it or lay on pressure points. The most impressive thing for me was that after some maneuvering and finding which knob would work best, I instantly felt it hit a pressure point and release it. After using it religiously for 3 days, my back is probably 90% less tight, my knots have almost totally been loosened and I can walk further, longer and sit or stand for a longer period of time without the fear of having to find a chair to rest due to pain. It sounds corny but after living with pain for such a long time any relief at all is welcomed and I'm so glad I was able to stumble across this gadget to offer me relief without drugs or a huge expense. I plan on using it until my knots are totally gone and even then, will treat any that pop up in the future.

Transformative. The makers of Advil might see a profit loss.
This device has made a huge difference to my quality of life. I would have rhomboid muscle spasms and pain so bad that it took far too many OTC and Rx pills to keep it in check. After using this religiously for five days in a row, huge nasty knots were gone along with the constant pain... and more importantly, I have something to help keep my back in better shape. All I ever wanted was some way to massage my own back and make a good job of it and this lets me do that. No more rocking back and forth against wall corners or any of the other bizarre things I used to try to do to get some relief. Whoever invented this deserves a medal. I was a little reluctant to order because, plastic. But when I read reviews about how sturdily it was made, I took heart. It *is* well made, and would have to come under serious abuse to cause it to break. It was worth every penny.

My Back Buddy
I love this little guy. True, he might look a bit funny but he gets the job done! He didn't come with instructions but I knew just what to do. I grabbed the Back Buddy with both hands and tried the pointy end first, that was not to my liking. I flipped it around and aimed the round end at the knot up under my shoulder blade and knew I'd struck gold. I've never been able to reach that spot before and it felt Wonderful. I was simply over joyed that I'd finally found something that could target the spot and provide relief. Yep, he's a real miracle worker. I even found that I can hold the Back Buddy in place and lean back against the couch. I can then move side to side using the couch as an aid. If it ever feels to hard, I simply take a towel and fold it in half and lay it across the area I'm working on. I've had owned the Body Back Buddy for six years now and I'm very happy with my purchase. Debi B.

This Is Really My Back's Buddy
I originally bought the blue one and now have bought this one to leave at work. A little back ground on me... I've spent about the last 6 months in PT for upper back, neck and shoulder pain. PT has not resolved the issue but has helped. This tool works well for the times when PT appointments are too far apart or I have a recurrence of pain. I have shoulder pain which originates from my neck. At times when my shoulder flares up this tool is amazing to help with that pain. I use this to help release the muscles in my neck that are causing constriction of the nerve to my shoulder. Once released my neck pops and the pain subsides almost instantly. The MRI does not show any impingements so I have been cleared to use this by my physical therapist. I also get headaches due to the suboccipital muscles, the muscles at the base of the skull, getting tight. For me this is usually due to either poor posture, extended computer use or lots of driving. Many nights I have used the blue model to help release the muscles in my neck to help me sleep more pain free. I look silly using this at work, but once the pain is gone the relief is worth the odd looks from fellow employees. I do feel this thing flex some when I am really digging in to the muscles but it has held up great so far. If I lost this or it was broken I would buy a third one in a heartbeat. I highly recommend this item.

For those hard to reach knots...
Is the doorframe losing its effectiveness? Is there not a buddy on hand to dive into your back? Is that knot starting to cripple you, even keeping you up at night? Then... get one of these. You apply however much or little pressure as needed to work those beggars out. They now come with more nodules for pressure points... albeit, it's a little small for larger fellas... but, if you're a tiny girl, like in the pic, it's a dream for when your significant other can't be there. $20 over repeated trips to a masseuse or chiropractor... get it.
