My son loved it! He's just turned four. The 60 is not as challenging as 100 pieces for him but it still held his interest. He loves the dinosaur picture and the pieces are a good size fr him to pick up. The pieces are not overly big or too small for him. The colors are nice.good quality.

Our three year old baby dinosaur (baby girl) lives and breathes dinosaurs right now. She is a long-neck (as referenced in The Land Before Time (Anniversary Edition) and had just started to enjoy large piece puzzles. I thought this might perfect to inspire her to take on real puzzles from 20-100 pieces and found this puzzle. The puzzle is of excellent quality and stands up to her learning how to pull apart and put together the pieces. It is still cardboard like normal puzzles, but of high quality and think so they do not bend easily or get roughed up. The cut is not too simple or large, so it challenges her to do on her own, after working it a couple of times with dad & mom of course. Now she's ready to do 100 pieces or more, but still plays with this one daily. A great puzzle to challenge little minds and tie in a favorite subject for little ones.

This was a birthday present for our nephew (age 3). At age 3.5, his dad says, "Oh, keep forgetting to mention ... the 60-piece puzzle was a great gift! S is able to put it together with minimal help!" I've been of a fan of Melissa & Doug products for a few years, purchasing them regularly for our pack of nieces and nephews. This one- WITH DINOSAURS- was a no-brainer when I saw it, and the recent feedback is really good to hear. Two enthusiastic thumbs up! - AM SIL

My 3.5 yr old nephew has discovered jigsaw puzzles. He absolutely loves them. I found this puzzle that features Dinosaurs which are also his favorite toys and knew he would love it. I ordered it Friday night around 10pm and my sister received the box on Sunday about 3pm. It took my nephew about 40 mins but he was able to do it and he called me to tell me that it was a great surprise. My sister loves me more for it because it occupied him enough to allow her to do some cleaning. The fact that it is made by Melissa & Doug made it easier for me to decide on this puzzle.

This is a good quality puzzle. The pieces are thick and easy to handle for those small hands and fingers that are still developing fine motor skills. I would recommend this puzzle for families with multiple children, because it will last years as long as you don't loose a piece. The colors are as bright as they look in the picture. This puzzle is small enough that a child can sit at a table and assemble it, unlike other Melissa and Doug puzzles that are large floor puzzles (we like those too). I do not feel qualified to say if the picture is an accurate depiction of these long extinct animals. I am guessing that a lot of artistic license was taken to make a pretty and child friendly landscape. If your child or a family member is a dinosaur connoisseur you can have fun finding the mistakes as an extra activity after putting the puzzle together. We have wondered about the accuracy ourselves, but I have not taken the time to research the animals in the picture. This is a puzzle we enjoy sporadically for fun. Great for wrapping as it is a simple rectangular box. It isn't so huge that you would need a jumbo size roll of wrapping paper.

We're using these puzzles at a crisis intervention clinic. The puzzles are great projects for people to work on that seems to help them de-escalate when they're emotionally charged. The puzzles are not overly complicated and the pieces are fairly sturdy and large, making them easy for people to work with. This puzzle has 40 fewer pieces than the other puzzles we've ordered and this is a good tool to use with people who have intellectual distinctions. It is not too simple or too difficult. People of all ages seem to like to complete these puzzles.

My 5 year old granddaughter absolutely loves this puzzle! She is obsessed with dinosaurs and put this puzzle together at least 5 times today. The puzzle pieces are good sturdy cardboard with brilliant colors that make up the picture part of the puzzle. I have two more puzzles from Melissa and Doug on the way. I can’t wait to see her expression when she sees her new puzzles! Thanks Melissa and Doug for making such awesome puzzles!

My little boy is very interested in playing puzzles especially Dinosaurs and ocean, he does it everyday, so I bought these for him, as the other reviews, it’s much smaller than I expected, l thought he would not like it because he just 3 years old and most of his puzzles are big pieces, but...he loves it most in all of the puzzles! Even so, I still hope the pieces could be larger than it is, for the reason of the difficulty cleaning up for little kids.

This one is a challenge for my 4.5 year old, he likes puzzles to he gives it a try, but the puzzles intended for younger kids are too few of pieces and easy to memorize. My only complaint is that the intended age range would benefit from being able to see the picture on the front without the top left quarter of the picture blocked by advertising, the full picture on the side is almost microscopic

My daughter got this for christmas. She is 4 and LOVES puzzles. This is a great puzzle for her, it's a little more challenging than her 48 piece puzzles that she was completing in minutes and with all the colors it does take her a little longer to fit all the pieces into place. But, she can do it alone and so it is the perfect combination of challenge and completion. She takes it out almost daily to work out it and always talks about how much she loves it. Great puzzle for a 4 year old.
