Solid trailer ball
Solid trailer ball and easy install. It still looks great after tugging around a trailer for a weekend. We will see how the finish holds up over the years, but that is beside the point of the trailer ball. It was an amply long thread to use with my Curt ball mount. Only bonus would have been a castle nut and cotter pin to ensure the nut didn't back out, but that is easily resolved by carrying a trailer wrench and checking equipment before a tow.

Curt makes their hitches in the USA
Curt manufactures in the USA. This ball itself wasn't but their draw bars are USA made, and are better made than other "rhymes with, made in: chinese" ones sold at the big box stores. Put some grease on the ball before trailering and it's held up very well over 100's of miles. Buy Curt, support American companies.

Well manufactured and it does the job but
As I purchased a Thule EuroPower 915 to be installed on my car with my Da'Lan Class 1 (1.25") receiver. The distance Thule requires between the pumper of the car and the center of the CURT chrome trailer ball was not enough (Thule it requires at least 65 mm). I needed a longer tow ball tongue to insert into my Class 1 receiver. The toungue that came with my Da'Lan receiver was not long enough. My solution to the problem is that I ordered via Amazon.com a new Euro ball mount: CURT Manufacturing 45591 1-1/4" Euro Ball Mount with 1-7/8" Ball. This will work with the EuroPower from Thule.

See you at the lake
It is. And it is rated to pull a real trailer as opposed to the "add-on" choice which was only rated to 2K#. Notice the flat sides to slip on a wrench. This design allows a smaller wrench than does a six sided style. Complete with lock washer.

You could spend more if you wanted, but why would you?
Bought this and the receiver, 110191, together for a great price. Towed a car hauler with a VW van, gross was about 5000 lbs, 1100 miles without issue. Sure you can save a few bucks buying a name you've never heard of but why would you? You can also spend much more on other names, again why would you? Curt has great quality control, a name that's trusted and been around for a long time, and a price that's sensible.

Received undamaged, has no burrs, all related parts, and does what it's supposed to do.
It's a shiny trailer ball. 5 star review based on the fact that the product was received undamaged, has no burrs, all related parts, and does what it is supposed to do.

... as bas as changing the whole hitch but still nice to be able to avoid it
Changing a ball on a trailer hitch is not as bas as changing the whole hitch but still nice to be able to avoid it.. so we bought this ball for the adjustable hitch. It's a sturdy ball, especially for the price. The shank is nice and thick. The entire thing is very sturdy and no flaws at all. I am so surprised to get something this nice so cheap. We have used it about 15 times and it still looks brand new.

Not much to this. Should not be expensive. Would buy again.

It’s a trailer ball.
It’s a trailer ball. Works like every other trailer ball I’ve ever owned.

Towed a pop-up camper 700 miles
Towed a pop-up camper 700 miles, this worked like a champ. Disclaimer: You have to torque this to 250 ft-lbs, and my torque wrench only went up to 150. Fortunately the place where I rented the popup torqued this for free.
