The best steamer
I had a Jiffy steamer for 20 years. I used it all the time and didn't take the best care of it. I used filtered water but didn't use the product to clean it every six months. When it finally broke, I replaced it with this one and am happy with my new steamer. This time, I will make sure to use the cleaning fluid. Either way, I'm impressed that the first one lasted as long as it did.

LOVE THIS STEAMER!
Very satisfied with this steamer. I Also purchased a steamer mat to go with it and they compliment each other very well. Only issue is moisture collecting at the top of the door trim. But I'm going to fix that by attaching sombre material and Velcro at the top of the door trim. But I'm very happy with this steamer.

The BEST steamer I have ever used, and I’ve been through a few..l,l
I was a ROWENTA girl for years. Been through my share of steamers. Usually spending between $150-$250 each time. I have had this one now for several months and it is far SUPERIOR to what I was using. This feels more like a commercial unit. Durable. Less gurgling and spitting. Does a great job. Called customer service, was missing a part, shipped it out ASAP for me. Highly recommended.

Steamer better than an iron
I once purchased a small hand held travel steamer. It was garbage. I thought perhaps all steamers were garbage. I should have skipped the travel steamer and gone right for the real deal. This thing is so much quicker than ironing. I love love love it. Works great for delicate women's hand wash shirts that are ridiculously difficult to iron. I no longer have to dry clean some of my shirts - I hand wash and use this steamer. Also, really works fast and perfect for men's non-iron dress shirts. I can't believe I waited so long to purchase this. Do not hesitate. it rocks. I purchased the metal steam head. Would do that again for sure. This steamer is perfect for people who hate to iron, but have to look moderately professional and can't wear wrinkled clothes to work.

Great steamer... when it’s working!
I loved this steamer. However after 6 months of “weekend” use. The plastic bottle stated to crack. The steamer now is sat dormant until the plastic water piece is replaced. *** Updating the review After posting, and asking questions. I spoke with their customer service department. After a quick phone call, I explained what had happened and they are replacing the plastic bottle that cracked. Win Win!

Best steamer to purchase! Reliable after years!
Best steamer money can buy! I purchased mine 11/2013 and over 5 YEARS LATER it is still performing as it did when I first purchased it. This is one of the best purchases I have ever made and I use this almost daily to steam my clothes right before I wear them. The heat up time is under a minute and the steam is consistent. I have always purchased distilled water to put in the tank just to be safe. I have not used an iron since purchasing this and it saves so much time. I permanently leave an over the door hanger and a towel behind it to protect the door so I will always have a place to steam items. I recommend this steamer to everyone and everyone should have one.

Had for 11 years--Here's how I keep it going
Here's what I had to do to keep my Jiffy Garment Steam going for 11 years: After about 7 years it got clogged with black mold and stopped steaming. It took lots of rinsing and soaking as instructed with the recommended cleaner to unclog it. Unfortunately once those mold spores get established, they come back. The second clogging was harder to remove, requiring multiple applications of the cleaner. From this I learned it wasn't enough to remove the steamer's water container in-between sessions. The water channel inside the unit must also be emptied. You can remove the post to upend the unit and drain it, but I find this inconvenient. I now siphon the water out of the base with a clean turkey baster purchased for this use, returning excess water from the base to the distilled water container before I wipe the base unit with a paper towel. So far, so good. Love my steamer. Haven't used an iron in 11 years.

I was looking for a professional steamer for my wedding and life. The J-2000 fit the bill perfectly. I have worked with the J-4000 as someone who worked in retail but wanted something a little smaller but by the Jiffy brand as their steamers are amazing. The J-2000 is very easy to fill with distilled water and provides about an hour to an hour and a half of steaming (all depends on the fabric you are steaming, Linen will really absorb the water and even with the j-4000, I was refilling it in about 45 minutes when our linen shipments arrived). Like the J-4000, it is easy to use and works so well. If you have not used a steamer before, take your time. Focus on the hard lines and steam inside and outside of the garment but be careful not to burn yourself. The hose will heat up and if you go inside of a garment you are not allowing the steam the ability to escape. I have not had the sputtering I sometimes had with the J-4000, so no hot water drops on my feet as I steam. The J-2000 heats quickly (with the J-4000 you allow the water to heat and them click it over to steam about a 20 minute process. the J-2000 is just a click on and it was steaming within 10 minutes.) and works beautifully. It has the power of the J-4000 without being as large. Great for around the house and smaller retail establishments. It steamed my veil beautifully and took the hard lines in the silk robes I picked up for my bridal party out so quickly. Excellent product, great brand, awesome smaller size. Who needs an iron with this!

A perfect steamer!
They figured it out! I got the metal head and it’s perfection in a steamer. Some say it’s heavy but the benefits of being able to make creases and iron make it a good decision for us and I like the solid feel of a good product. They even thought to put the the magnetic wrench on the bottom for occasional tighting. No sputtering or spilling. Sturdy wheels and metal pole to keep hanger the in place. Even the packaging was minimal. I love the retro vibe. They figured it out and there was no changes needed.
