All I can say is if you have anxiety or mental health issues of any kind I would HIGHLY recommend taking two of these at night, every night. There is a massive noticeable difference in my mental health when I stop taking these. please give this a shot!

Out of nowhere I started getting heart palpitations and if you've experienced this the anxiety that comes with it is borderline unbearable especially when you don't know what's wrong. I tried to cut back on caffeine, chocolates, and sugar but still daily I would get the palpitations. I couldn't even exercise anymore because they would come out of nowhere. I found a doctor named Sanjay Gupta on YouTube, if you type in Sanjay Gupta magnesium on YouTube you can find him, he explained how magnesium helps your heart and palpitations. I never take any supplements or pills so I was hesitant to even try it and weeks went by and it was just getting too unbearable with the palpitations so I finally gave in and bought it and then I let it sit on the counter forever because the pills are pretty big. I had finally had enough so I took one pill and figured I'd just build myself up to taking the rest of the recommended dosage on the bottle. After taking that one pill the palpitations went away immediately! I couldn't believe it! Once in a while I will get a mild version of the palpitations so I started taking the correct dosage and now I can go a whole day and not have any palpitations. Since taking this pill I've also noticed that my daily headaches have disappeared. I would get a headache more than 5 days a week and I'm talking severe painful headaches and then I noticed oh my goodness I haven't had a headache since I started taking this! My sleep is also better but most importantly I thank God that he's led me to the way of finally getting rid of the palpitations I had. I used to also get a ton of leg cramps and those have disappeared as well! I feel like a new person again after taking this magnesium, it's saved my life. I feel so much better and can do so much more. I have much less anxiety also. This stuff is just a miracle drug. I never thought a supplement could benefit my life so much and I pray that whatever is bothering you that you take the chance and try it and I hope that it cures you because it's no fun being in pain or anxious. I started off crushing the pills and putting it in milk or apple sauce, it's a little yucky but got the job done. Thankfully I now have built up the courage to swallow the pills and it's not so bad anymore. I'm very happy with this product and would buy again!

I bought this hoping it would loosen my muscles that have been tight my entire adult life - every chiro and massage therapist comments on how tight my traps are in particular - and while there is some relief the most noticeable improvement has been the QUALITY OF MY SLEEP! I thought I slept fine until I took these. I sleep deeper and wake up more rested - most days I wake up before my alarm. This is unheard of for me! I highly recommend overall.

Attached photos, left is new bottle (May) and right is old (January). I first bought this back in January, and wow, who knew one change could have such a big difference! At 23, I used to cry nearly every day and have a fast heartbeat, chest pains, and trouble breathing pretty often, but with these I barely cry even once a week! Of course nothing can completely cure being a cry baby, but at least I don't have anxious pains hardly anymore, haha! Also, the extra regularity helps since I don't get nearly enough fiber and greens as I should... I sleep a bit better too, don't wake up with the pains, but be warned the dreams will be extremely vivid at first! I still remember my first three dreams so clearly... I slowly started to run out so started to take fewer a day with less benefits, and finally last week I completely ran out. I started waking up with pains again and experience them through the day even while happy, and last Friday I had the biggest breakdown in about a year or so... I suppose I was PMSing since this month my period that was late came the next day, but still I usually don't get that extremely upset about things! So, I bought some more as soon as I could! I'm noticing the label is different, but it seems to be solely because Albion Laboratories, Inc. changed the name of their TRAACS® to Albion Minerals®. The ingredients seem slightly different, too: From: Magnesium (elemental) 200 mg (from 2,000 mg magnesium glycinate lysinate chelate) Other ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate (vegetable source), stearic acid, modified cellulose (coating). Suggested to take 2 twice daily, with food. To: Magnesium 200 mg (from magnesium lysinate glycinate chelate) Other Ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose and hydroxypropyl cellulose (coating), magnesium stearate (vegetable source), stearic acid. Suggested to take 2 twice daily. Lysinate seems to be in charge rather than glycinate now. Maybe it's not a big enough difference to matter... Also, I guess food isn't necessary, that's good to know. Will report back if this new bottle gives the same results! Update 2/19/19 I've forgotten all about this review, apologies! From what I remember I noticed no differences between the bottles, same results. Totally recommended! However, thought I should mention some time last year I quit taking magnesium specificly for anxiety. When I started the supplement I was at a pretty problematic place with my anxiety and over time it has helped it greatly. However, I believe it can only be used as a start. It won't do all the heavy lifting for you, you must get support and learn to better recognize and manage your own thoughts and feelings. Take steps to take care of yourself and actively pay attention to your thought process or any other signs that contribute to your anxiety. I managed to get to a place where I no longer feel the need to take magnesium any longer for my anxiety, I've now learned to deal with it on my own. Very rarely now do I experience the chest pains, and any time I feel a smidge of it coming on I breath deeply and watch my thoughts for a bit. Then I'm fine! ^^ So there's that, just thought I'd drop by to give some advice. Mental health is a huge deal, I coulda avoided many problems if I took it more seriously. Besides for anxiety, magnesium has a ton of other uses and I totally recommend investing in getting it into your diet! It should actually be 1:1 with the amount of calcium you get daily.

I have been using Doctor's Best High Absorption Magnesium for over two years now. It has been the best addition to my daily vitamins. I feel incredibly relaxed an hour after consumption, and as someone prone to debilitating anxiety and panic, I have no reason to ever stop using this product. PROS: Physical and mental relaxation. CONS: I wish I knew about it sooner.

I started taking this after reading it could help with migraines. I started out taking 2 pills in the am and 2 in the pm and did this for a month. Because I started having a metallic taste in my mouth I dropped the PM dose. I haven't had a migraine since beginning the regiment. Sounds crazy right? I also have kept a close eye on my water intake to a minimum of 64oz am and 64oz pm not including coffe, liquids in foods or drinks consumed with meals. The minimum water consumption monitoring may have done the trick. Who knows. I compete in female bodybuilding figure competitions. I have been a triathlete and marathoner so I am a tune to my body and water consumption. What I am saying is that I wasn't in a state of dehydration which could have caused the migraines. The fact for me is prior to my obgyn telling me of an article linking magnesium to migraines and him telling me to give it a shot is that I had terrible optical migraines once a week and now I don't. That is enough to keep me reordering.

I’ve been jumping through hoops to get my protracted withdrawals under control and I’ve tried just about all Magnesium’s and I can say, the chelated Glycinate is the “Natural Xanax” one for anxiety, sleep, mood, and “mental health”. I can’t imagine how many people are addicted to antidepressants/benzos when they’re clearly are just not getting magnesium. Although this one is a little bit more pricy, this was rated well on Labdoor and I have had no GI pain taking these. I have gotten GI pain which felt like getting slashed and stabbed all over my gut. I was taking a “poorer” brand and others have too mentioned that side effect. Luckily I have not had that issue with these guys and I’ll continue to purchase this. The pills are actually smaller than all other magnesium pills I’ve had. Magnesium is water-soluble so it’s safe to take on an empty stomach (I’ve done it and I have IBS). My panic attacks are severely reduced and I’m able to sleep through more nights without being woken up by my cortisol alarm clock at 3AM. Best of all, it’s not adding to my IBS adventures! EDIT NOV 2018 I have ceased magnesium pills! My levels are great now. Yay! My symptoms have greatly reduced and I noticed when I take them, I feel foggy + anxious/weird for a day. Researching this, this can definitely happen with too much Mg. This does not mean this is a bad product, no not at all, I recommend this brand to everyone suffering from what I did to myself lol. I wouldn’t have recovered so well without these suppliments, they helped me reached what I was missing. When I realized this, I stopped taking them and my mental/physical state went back to normal very next day. Update February 2019 I do not take these as often as I did when I was going through withdrawals, maybe up to 3 times a week as I’m getting a good of magnesium through food. No pain and I have a FANTASTIC nights sleep! I continually suggest these magnesium pills! Update May 2019 Take every once in awhile when I’m feeling stressed and I know my diets been slacking. Still no GI pain and I’m able to sleep normally. Fantastic, please don’t change this formula!

Bought this for sleep and anxiety, and this stuff helps ALOT. I was really surprised that something as simple as magnesium could change so much. I used to have such a hard time going to sleep, but now when I take magnesium 30 minutes to 1 hour before bed I find it hard keeping myself awake. On the anxiety side, it definitely helps me stay calmer, I notice a huge difference. Nothing ever gets rid of anxiety completely, but this gets pretty damn close.

This has literally changed my life! No more paralyzing anxiety, chronic pain, muscle spasms, or insomnia. If you suffer with depression and/or anxiety, no matter how bad it is, TRY THIS! It is a game changer. Wish I found out sooner…and I’m a physician!!!

I was depressed, fatigued, had muscle twitches, and having a host of other issues. Little did I know I was magnesium deficient. I bought this initially to help me sleep and have regular bowel movements. It has helped me in many more areas than just that.
