Seems surprisingly well engineered
I bought this to replace an old one on my (new to me, used) trailer. The old one had multiple issues including missing set screws to hold the wires, and a loose connector block that could pull out of the case. And it was old. truth is you want my review 5 years from now :-) Patience grasshopper. This one is not only new, but seems better designed in several ways: 1. The wire terminals are large places that squeeze against both sides of the wire. Nice. 2. The strain relief is a nice design with a huge set screw that applies pressure to a saddle whcih in turn holds the wires across a large area without pinching them 3. The inner connector block ( which pulled out of the old one) is secured with a set screw, which, rather than using friction, screws into a molded recess. Nice! Solid. 4. Silicone-like seal at wires entrance. 5. Its $8 bucks Now to Amazon: what the heck is "sheerness" - a measure i was supposed to rate this on? Someone write this at Beer:30?

Replacement Trailer Lights Plug In
Reason for replacement is old connectors were corroded and loose. This part was an exact replacement for my tent trailer light/ power and electric brake system. Fairly straight forward remove and install of part. I suggest taking pictures of old wire connections before disassembling plug so that your absolutely sure of proper placement of connectors on new plug in.

Good Quality
This went on easily and fit the cable on the trailer perfectly. Make you installation easy by using fork terminals on your wires. I usually by the Curt version for half the price, figured I would try this one to see if there was a quality difference. Seems to be the exact same model as the Curt.

Worked like it's supposed to
I replaced original 5 pin harness with this 7 pin. It worked great once I got the correct schematic to follow. No more adapter! Just take the end off, run your wires through the back, connect to appropriate terminal (I installed the electrical ends for a cleaner look and more secure install) then put the plug all back together and test your lights.

Wire code inside plug
Plug is very easy to change I have several trailers and have to change often because they get damaged from tough use.

Used to replace existing plug that wasn't working properly.
Only issue that I had was the wiring diagram was off on a couple wires. Test light solved the problem.

ββGreat inexpensive product ββ
I have a new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Lt trail boss and was getting a message on my DIC "check trailer connection" any time I pressed my brakes while towing my travel trailer. I looked at my original 7 way connector on my travel trailer, it looked worn, so I replaced it with the new one. "Problem solved " πππ

Super affordable fix
Worked perfectly! I drug my original on the road for a few hundred miles so it was shaved down quite a lot and we had to replace it. This made it very easy to repair! I found a diagram for color coding the wires online that worked like a charm to line up which wires should go to what screw. Don't buy a whole new cord and plug if you only need the plug! This works wonderfully and at a great price!
