Works and is easy to use!
I used this on an old sink pipe in my barn that also is the pipe where the washing machine water drains. I discovered the hole in the pipe and got this for a quick fix. I got the pipe as clean and as dry as I could, but it wasn't spotlessly clean and the area was still pretty damp. I cannot believe this stuff works. I am sure I used way too much, but it works and there is no longer a leak. I made sure to wrap this around the pipe in front of and behind the hole as well. I will purchase again because I can see this being used for many things.

Fixed a leak that caulking just would not do.
Wrap and Repair silicone tape is basically thin silicone in the form of a tape. It's almost like a thick rubber band, that you stretch and apply around anything that you want to seal together. The tape itself doesn't have any adhesive on it, but the stretch and circling around itself causes the tape to self stick to what you need to do. It would be best used to wrap around an object. You basically stretch it to twice it's length, and circle it around what you need to repair or wrap. I don't think one can simply apply it flat to anything. I have used it around my work place. I had a plumbing leak that couldn't get sealed with silicone caulk, so I decided to wrap the tubing around with this. Leak gone. Later I applied it to some connectors that would not seems to stay together. another problem solved. I don't know how long the hold is going to last, but I am really glad to have this.

Does what its suppose to do and well.
Someone hit my parked car and cracked one of my tail lights. Used this and from far you can't even see the crack but up close you can. This is a plus I just wanted to close up the crack so water and dirt doesn't get inside.

Perfect color match. Not a fade looking color like red tape.
I placed it on my broke taillight on a 2011 Mercedes E350. I can't even tell that it's broken anymore. The color of this patch is the exact color of the light. Forget about the tape they sell this was so much more worth even if it was just a couple bucks more. I rather get this than tape which is off red kind of light pink when light is on.

Good for repairing pinholes in copper pipes
Although most people don't recommend this tape for permanent repairs, I've used it many times to repair pinhole leaks in the copper pipes in my basement, and some of the repairs have lasted for years without further leaking. Some effort is required to apply the tape correctly -- it has to be stretched tightly to make it adhere to itself and to the pipe. I've had to re-do some repairs since I didn't pull hard enough the first time.

Perfect quick fix
I needed the amber repair tape for a quick fix to get an inspection sticker. It worked perfectly and it's been durable enough that I could postpone the repair on the automobile. It's mostly used as a work vehicle and the tape is withstanding the travel. With free shipping from Amazon, I got this about as fast as I would have from the local Autozone or Advance Auto Parts since they didn't stock the amber colored tape. It was much cheaper than the $20 3M kit from Autozone that includes clear, red, and amber tapes. I didn't need all the extra that kit provided so this was the item for me!

It Works!
When we turned on the hose a couple of weeks back, we discovered that it had a split, creating a lovely spray of water - which didn't get the winter's grime rinsed off the patio. I found this and ordered it; it worked! We wiped the hose clean with a soft rag (a sock with a hole in it), located the split without turning on the hose, and wrapped this around the hose. Simply pull the paper back from a little bit of the hose, and press the end against the hose, starting about an inch away from the end of the split. Then pull it pretty tightly while wrapping around the hose, removing a couple of inches of paper at a time. Overlap the wraps by half of the width of the tape, and continue to an inch past where the split ends. It's only been a couple of weeks, but, so far, so good! And it beats buying a new hose and having to get the old one taken away on "cleanup days"!

Need a quick and simple leak repair? Probably not a long term solution, but great in a pinch.
Purchased this to make a quick, short term repair on my SUV's Windshield washer line when a hole appeared shortly before a long drive across the country. Better to replace the line, but I did not have time. Driving through Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota through the summer without working windshield washers is asking for trouble. Bugs hit your windshield like raindrops and a lack of washer fluid means pulling over every 50-100 miles to clean the windows. This stuff worked like a champ. Simply stretch it and wrap around the tube. It sealed my leak in about two minutes. In fact, it's worked so well that I've let it go for about 2 months without replacing the line and it is still holding strong.

Now You See It, Now You Don't!
Totally focused upon not backing into a group of people I backed into a humongous truck! Didn't leave so much as a scratch on the truck, but broke one of the tail light covers on my astro. They're big, and so expensive to replace I decided to try this tape. It was shipped quickly and I've had it for weeks, but I rarely drive and didn't have a chance to try it until yesterday. ZOMG it did SUCH a beautiful job! If it peels off during a rain I'll be back to remove stars from my rating, but if it's fairly weatherproof this tape is amazing. The cracks and loss of plastic were huge, but you'd have to look very closely to see that it was ever broken. SO glad I went this route. The packaging says to replace the cover as soon as possible, but I plan to delay for as long as possible. UPDATE: It's been a bit more than three months since I applied this tape to my tail light. Wanted to do an update since most of us need to cut corner$ whenever and wherever possible in this day and age. This red tail light repair tape is FANTASTIC! One of the best amazon purchases, ever. The astro is always parked outside, the rear faces the afternoon sun (in the tropics) all day, every day, we've had massive rains and, recently, rapid temperature changes, and it's still good as new. The tail light on a chevy astro is huge, and half of mine was crunched down the middle. Large chunks are missing. but this tape makes it look like it's never been broken (unless you look closely), and there's probably enough tape on the roll for at least two more repairs. I may never need to replace this light cover. All for two bucks and change! Still highly recommended... UPDATE: it's been almost two years since I first used this tape on my broken xl chevy astro tail light. one roll was enough to do the light twice, with a bit left over. bought a second roll for back-up; haven't had to use it yet. this tail light tape has had no protection from the brutal tropical sun and torrential rains, but the first job lasted more than a year, and the second is still looking good. almost didn't buy this because it seemed like one of those as-seen-on-tv too-good-to-be-true deals. if there are things you need more than new tail lights, this tape is most definitely the way to go.

Works Great
This tape is what i needed for changing a bright led landscaping light to more of an amber color. The tape covers the lens and the light shines through. The lights are on the risers of the steps to the deck. Its a little more yellow than i would like, however compared to the harsh bright white light ,it is a lot more bearable. I am experimenting on directly applying the tape directly on the bulb itself since the bulb never gets hot. Both applications have worked for months and in out door conditions in the Seattle area. If this application becomes big money i want a piece of the pie. Duane
